View 3 RepliesAs you can see here, my sliders (the ones on the left) have lost their color & shadows!
Mine used to look like the ones on the right, then at some point they got to be a little desaturated... then a little while later they came to be what is on the left!
I'm would guess it's just some unfortunate hotkey I accidentally used (multiple times), but I've been unable to find anything about it...
I've tried resetting all the preferences in Lightroom, deleting plist files from the Library folder & even contacted adobe support though chat, but all to no avail.
In the develop module the sliders produce no effect.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm evaluating Lightroom 5 during the 30 day trial and it's all cool except for this one big annoyance that I noticed immediately when trying to work on an image in Develop module. As stated in the title, moving any slider (exposure, highlights, noise reduction, etc.) causes the image to go very blurry for the duration of the slider movement. It goes immediately back to being sharp as soon as I stop moving the slider. This is super annoying, feels as though my eyes are going bad.
What's interesting is that the problem doesn't show up when I'm adjusting the Tone Curve directly, but it will get triggered if I'll expand and use the sliders underneath. So looks like a bug that only applies to sliders.
This doesn't happen at all in Lightroom 4.4, which I still have installed and can compare side-by-side.
As for the hardware, I'm using the 2013 Macbook Air with 1.3 GHz i5 CPU and 8 GB of RAM. The OS X version is 10.8.4 with all latest upgrades installed.
I've already tried optimizing the catalog, giving it more space (currently at 3 GB) and purging it. I'm not using Smart Previews, although I've turned them on for a moment to see if the problem persists with them on - it does. I've also re-rendered the 1:1 preview for the specific image I've been trying it on. Btw, the file is a NEF from Nikon D300 and I'm using the 2012 process (as was the case with LR4). Not sure what else might be relevant here.
Is there a way in the Develop Module to press the Previous button at the bottom of the page to copy all the settings from the previous picture used, but NOT the CROP?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI upgraded to LR4 from LR3. After opening LR4 I realized that the Develop/Basic menu sliders are identical to LR3, i.e., Exposure, Recovery, Fill Light, Blacks, Contrast, Clarity, Vibrance and Saturation.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe main develop module controls have disappeared from the develop window. How do I recover them? I'm working with Lightroom 5.3. The missing controls are the sliders for exposure, contrast, clarity, etc. I must have inadvertantly clicked something that made them disappear but nothing I've tried brings them back. I've never had this experience in the years I've been using Lightroom (since version 1.1).
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am finding that the LR4 Develop Sliders are very sensitive compared to LR3. Holding down the Shift Key while adjusting the sliders will give precise control when needed.
View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen I open DNG files in the Develop Module, the basic tab is different than when I develop RAW/NEF files? With NEF files there are sliders for shadows, highlights and clipping but with DNG they are different - blacks, recovery, fill light. etc.. Why is this and is there a way to make the Basic tab the same for both (both like the NEF Basics tab)?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an i7, 18 GB of RAM, SSD drive for cache and catalog, PC running Windows 7 64 bit. Minimal startup items. I find the Develop sliders hard to "grab" and move. There is quite a lag in response. Most of my files are from a Nikon D800, but I also have a lot of D700 files which perform only marginally better. I have not been able to find a satisfactory solution. Yes, I have deleted the preference folder, and tried all the tricks but to no avail. I also have some response issues with the Nik plug-ins and their slider response also, but not as bad a Lightroom.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason images in the library module aren’t as sharp compared to the develop module. If I’m in develop images are nice and sharp but as soon as I select the library you can see the image quality drop and image becomes less blurry!
View 4 Replies View RelatedSharpening applied in develop module is not shown when switching back to library module. It looks the problem occurs when having size to "FIT". With 1:1 there seams to be no issue. Export also looks fine in 1:1.
I use Mac 10.9.1, LR5.3, Nikon NEF 24Mbit from D600.
I hope this is a way to get support from Adobe.
I can't process any images as the basic tab has suddenly vanished.how can I get it back?
View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter making changes to an image (sharpening, exposure, contrast, etc, etc) in the develop module, when I head over to the library module, the image does not show the latest changes. What's worse is when I export a JPG of the image, it exports the original! What's the point in having LR?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I move photos from the develop module to the web module they get a garish/reddish look . I want the photos in slide shows to look like they do in the Develop module. How do I do that?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn Lightroom 4 develop mode, I have noticed that at the bottom of the righthand column there is a button, sometimes marked "sync" and at others marked "previous". It seems to change randomly between the two and I don't know why. I prefer it to be "previous". Why it changes and what I can do to return it to "previous" if it has changed to "sync"?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI shoot with multiple cameras with a parallel tracklog being generated on a Garmin GPS unit and think this functionality might be useful but it never seems to be enabled. How and when is it enabled? It would be nice to have an easy way to cycle through track logs that I've imported without having to choose them through most recent or the filesystem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedToday I encountered a weird problem with Lightroom. When I switch from Library to Develop to edit photos, immediately, the photo changes. I get strange blue highlights appearing in an area that is largely black, and red, where there is white. If I do a command Z (on a Mac), it just changes back to Library mode.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying out the 30 day LR 5 trial to see if I would like to upgrade. For some reason my Develop Module contains the same tools as my older version, though I know I shouldn't even see a "brightness" tool. How do I fix this and get the new tools so I can continue my 30 day trial?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't access the "Hue" tab in develop module. I can only access Hue by selecting "All."
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy develop module is not fully opening. The only items it is allowing me to edit is lens profile correction, vignetting. How to restore the full develop module starting with temperature, contrast, blacks, whites, shadows, etc., all the way down the whole module.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy LR 5 is developing with LR4 processing. How do I upgrade so I am developing with LR 5 develop tools?
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe new LR4 develop module looks exactly like the LR3 . The quick what's NEW video shows a highlight and shadow slider and the exposure and contrast sliders are in different places.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI don't see the RGB in curves in the develop module and it still shows brightness. In fact it looks just like LR3? Just downloaded upgrade. What's going on?

View 12 Replies View RelatedDid I lose my adjustments in Develop when I clicked on Library in Lightroom? I have been working on a group of about 300 photos for the past several days. Today I was in Develop and went to Library to get a couple of new photos. When I got back to Develop all my adjustments were gone. Can I get them back?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to take advantage of a FULL SCREEN to see my images. However, the panel with all the controls takes up about 1/6 of the real estate.I know the panel can be auto hidden, but I hate that workflow.
I would love to put the panel on a separate monitor leaving just the image full screen on the other.
I'm using the last version of Lightroom (3.6 if I'm not wrong) and I'm facing a very uncomfortable issue with the Develop module.
I adjusted precisely every color luminance and saturation so it looks rather good in the Develop preview (set to fit), and did an export...
The preview I worked on and the export simply don't look the same.
I work with NEF files from my NIKON D3100 DSLR on a Mac OSX 10.7 MBP.This cannot be the external display profile not correctly adjusted since I viewed every pictures on the same screen.I unchecked every boxes from the presets tab in the settings window.
Here are some screenshots and exports.
Fit preview in the Develop module (left) and the actual export of the same picture (right).I didn't activated any lens correction option and adjusted any color. This is the RAW file and its direct export.Screenshot of the preview window on top of noise correction options (left) and the same area once I zoomed in in the main preview (right)
A couple of days before today I was using Camera RAW from PS CS5 to correct my NEF and was only keeping exports in JPEG. I decided to use LR 3 on my entire workflow and I'm being skeptical...
EDIT : i can join any required file or screenshot if required. I have some other shots having tthe same issue (a lot of ones indeed...)
EDIT 2 : i just found out the picture has much more acurate colors (relatively to the export ones) in the Library module in fit preview (Loupe I guess)
I have Lightroom 3.5 - Photoshop CS5 Extended and both are up to date but I'm trying to get my ALR to use the latest Camera Raw 6.5 but it's not a selection on the drop down menu.
My camera profiles are there for Nikon D700 but i'm using presets that use ACR and it's old. -- i've removed Lightroom (an unistaller would be super useful adobe!!!) but it still remembers my old catalogs etc...
I have been using 3.6 from day one with no problems, now I can view all files in my catalog, but when I go to the develop module the picture does not show and LR freezes. I have tried everything to no avail.
