Oct 14, 2013I have a lot of not longer used favorits entries in the bread crumb bar, how can I delete them without going to each folder seperatly? is there a text file where there are stored?

Jan 25, 2014I'm going to connect my AI file to After effect. So I had to create lots of layers in order to edit them seperatly in After effects. But it seems like my amount of layers are too large because AE always crashes (not responding -> Force quit)
So I wanna break some stuff down in multiple AI files, but I don't wanna go and select every layer and delete it. That would take too much time. Is there a way to select the multiple objects in Illustrator and delete that but also its layer its in?
Lightroom :: 3.6 Sublocation / Location Metadata No Longer Lists Entries In Library Filter
Jan 22, 2012In Lightroom 2, I entered data into the Location field. When I transitioned to 3, the Location field then changed to Sublocation in the Default metadata panel, but it had my data in there. Recently now the Location column in Library Filter does not list the entries in this field, it just shows everything as Unknown Country. How do I fix this, or have the data show in the Filters?

Jun 22, 2012When i try to delete a file from LR using the delete from disk option the file does not so up in my trash. I have deleted 200 bad files and the never showed up in the trash. I have been trying to clear up some disk space but the available disk still shows the same so I know they haven't been deleted. Am using Lion on a MacBook Pro 15 and am fully updated. Am I doing something wrong?

Feb 9, 2013I have LR 4.3, Camera Raw 7.3
Until yesterday I was able to delete pictures, using the contextual menu or the delete key. I got the message asking me if I wanted to delete them from disk or from the catalog.
But now, that popup message doesn't appear. The picture is not removed, just nothing happens.
I checked the logs and this is the error message:
performCommandDesc could not perform command ag.library.expandAllStacks (Command was disabled.).
I uninstalled LR moving it to the trash. Then I deleted the com.adobe.Lightroom4.plist and I also removed the folder ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom.
I rebbooted the machine and installed it again. But the issue is still there, with the same error message.
I verified the disk and checked file permissions.
I also tried to use another catalog from a backup.
Nothing, same error.
One anusual thing that I did before the error was to install the "HDRsoft Merge to 32-bit HDR Plug-in for Lightroom - Version 1.0"
I removed it but the error was still there. After the re-install I didnd't install that plug-in again so if it was the problem, it shouldn't be after the clean installation that I did again.

Oct 14, 2013 I incorporated an architects drawing into mine, and brought in hundreds of linetypes and text styles. Whenever I cut and paste from that drawing, the linetypes come too. If I cut and paste within the drawing, I think the linetypes multiply. It's made the drawings almost unworkable.
I can xref the file into a new drawing, and edit the x ref to make it part of the drawing, which gets rid of the linetypes, but adds a prefix to every layer, block, text style etc.

Apr 3, 2012Is there a way to delete multiple VIP's in a profile? By windowing maybe? I have a profile with several hundred VIP's and I need to delete the VIP's between certain chainage but I'm not clear if this is possible. It will take hours to delete them one by one, although as far as I can ascertain this is the only way.

Oct 24, 2012A customer brought me some DWG plans, five files' worth. He wants pricing on cutting it out of wood. The cutting part won't take long, but fixing the file will. I could see that there were multiple lines because some lines were thicker.When I select one of the thicker lines and delete it, it's gone. So I knew there wasn't a second line below it. Then I tried Ctrl-K, to break apart the curve. Wow, some of the lines had 23 copies! So I would hold Ctrl, de-select one of the lines, then hit the Delete key to erase the other 22. This will take a lot of time to clean up like this. Do you know of an easier way to remove these excess curves?

Apr 23, 2011I just started having an issues with the delete feature. When I click on an object and it highlights it--when i hit the delete button, it doesn't delete the object any more. Also i should be able to click on as many object as i want, now it makes me hold the shift key down. And also when I click on an object then pull the layers tab down to assign it to a diffent layer ---it won't change it now.. what do you think is going on with the software and who might I contact to get this problem corrected.

Dec 10, 2012Background: My job requires that I print vinyl cut letters and shapes. I do this by creating a cut contour path in illustrator with a spot color as a stroke, so that once printed, there will be instructions on the print showing where to cut and the cutter will recognize the marks.
My problem is that, for some reason, the cutter is going back over the cut path a 2nd time, as if there is more than one cut contour path in the file. But looking at the eps file in Illustrator, I don't see any extra overlapping paths with another stroke. It just looks like there is one pink line that there are actually extra cut paths that the cutter is reading that I don't know about. Is there a way for me to either A) find all of the paths and turn off the spot color swatch on all of them and just apply it to the one I need or B) find all paths and delete overlapping ones that I don't need?
getting extra overlapping cut paths in different Layers(?) I'm just really not sure what to do or how to find these and weed them out.

Jan 14, 2014I downloaded a trial version of Elements 12. I used Elements 6 a few years ago on a PC, now I have a MAC and there's a lot of difference between version 6 and 12. I downloaded all of my I-photo files into the Organizer but would like to delete them now that I realize they are all jumbled up and basically useless. There are 5,000 photos & several hundred folders. I can't figure out how to select multiple folders to delete them from the organizer.

This name should then be used as a final folder name.

I have 20.000 photos in this structure already imported by Bibble and before that Downloader Pro. I would like to do everything in one program, not have to use Downloader Pro every time I need to structure my photos.
The only way I have seen to do this in Lightroom 4 is to do multiple imports and that gets annoying! This is the biggest factor for me if I will continue with Bibble / Corel Aftershot or go for Lightroom.

This entry is in the "Survey" tab in the toolspace. I tried to start a new drawing in hopes it would give me a clean toolspace, but it keeps showing the same information.

Aug 15, 2012I'm an architect and I'm drawing up a development of 80 houses and I need to provide a Sales Plan which includes the width and length of each rear garden in the development. Rather than show these as actual dimensions on the drawing (which will get messy and make the drawing look untidy due to the large amount of units) I plan to create a simple table with plot number and dimensions.
My plan is to dimension the gardens on a non-printable layer and to insert a field into a table to obtain the required dimension. I've done this for the first few houses but I have to insert one field and then select the dimension to get the "m" dimension and then repeat the process in order to get the "ft" dimension.
My question is is it possible to insert a field (or two separate fields) that will display the dimension once in m (ie 12.80m) and once in 'architectural dimension style' (ie. 41' - 7 1/4") by only clicking on the dimension once??
This will save a lot of time as this size of development is quite common for me.

Apr 5, 2014In my document, all index entries will come from text located adjacent to an image, or on the facing page. I had planned to create a uniquely named character- or paragraph style for this purpose, and to import all items formatted in that style into the index topic list. Or is there some better method of tagging the captions?
Each figure caption consists of two parts: botanical name and source. If this design works, I propose to format the first part to a unique paragraph or character style, and add that to the index.
if that is the best approach, or other approach, and how best to implement it.
