Lightroom :: Crash When Try To Import?
Jan 30, 2013When I click on 'Import' in Lightroom 4.3, the programe stops responding. I have tried restoring the last catalogue backup (15th Jan) but no difference.

Lightroom :: Crash On Import Function?
Feb 22, 2013LR 4.3 was working perfectly till today when I attempted to import some images. I successfully imported images yesterday but today when I click the Import button the screen goes gray and lightroom shows 'not responding'. I have rebooted, checked for updates, created a new empty catalog, checked that there are no video files in the source drive, placed all the image files to be imported into temporary folder on the hard drive to avoid problems with card readers, and still have the same issue.
Occasionally the import page does appear but the source column is empty. When I click the Source + the screen goes gray again and no activity appears other than the popup that asks if I want to close the program or wait. The computer is running Win8, 12gbRAM, corei7/6 cores, plenty of drive space (4tb)

Aug 29, 2011my problem to Corel e-mail support but after all the work for filling out the form the website showed my a message after submission of the form that the requested page changed its location - nice! After using the back button of the browser (to try it again) all form fields were empty again.
So I am trying here before returning the product. I am using Videostudio Pro X4 with the Sevice Pack 1 and no more updates are found by the internal updater.
I try to import videos from my Sony HC96E MiniDV cam using FireWire. I am importing into a Lenovo ThinkPad system with Core i7 2nd Gen and 8 GB RAM. First of all when using the program's DV Quick Scan method I can see no preview picture in the preview area. Also I here the video's sound for about 1 sec and then it stops. I can use the PLAY, STOP, FF, RW etc. buttons and they control the camera as usual with FireWire and MiniDV cams. But: As soon as I start the importing process with Quick Scan or the normal Rec-Mode Videostudio crashes. Nothing happens - trying to use any of the programs buttons and controls only leads to Windows telling me that this application no longer answers and has to be closed.
This happens all the time. I haven't been able to import a single scene from the MiniDV tape, yet. I also tried another legacy firewire driver but this didn't improve the situation at all. For a test I also installed Windows Live Movie Maker 2011. With this program everything works perfectly: preview is there with sound and importing of the whole 60 mins tape worked flawlessly.
VideoStudio :: X5 Ultimate Causing Crash On DVD Import
May 5, 2013I am running XP and X5 Ultimate.My workflow follows :
File
Insert media file to library
Insert Digital media
Select drive in import from digital media box
Start
Then the screen goes black and the PC reboots with an error report box showing. The DVD has a UDF file system and it is 2.32GB and plays in Power DVD OK.

Dec 28, 2013I read the FAQ on files not importing but am afraid I am having a weird problem.I converted my canon's .mov files to several types :avi,mpeg, and mp4, but they still cause PP to crash every time I try to drag the imported file into the source panel.
I am running HP on Intel Core i7 2630 QM CPU with 6 gig RAM and 64 bit Windows 7.

Lightroom :: 5.3 Crash On Mac With OS X 10.8.4
Feb 26, 20143 days ago, after few miutes of lr usage it crashed. And later, on same day, it crashed often after few minutes of usage. It crashed also with different catalog. Also other applications crashed. Reboot solved for all the apps, but not for lr. Since this first crash, now it crahes very often. From console log, the only error is about segmentation fault: 11.
I have a macbook pro (late 2008) with osx 10.8.4 and lightroom 5.3. No update or new installation from sunday.

Jan 21, 2014Lightroom 5 on OSX 10.9.1 will crash after a few seconds of displaying/selecting items if a video fie is present in that library folder. In Console, I get these messages every second until I force quit Lightroom:

The issue that occurs is after importing images they are adjusted automatically to develop module cross process 1. Lightroom :: Restoring After Hard Drive Crash?
Oct 14, 2012I had a hard drive crash. I had everything backed up on Carbonite. So I've reinstalled Lightroom 4.2 and am a little confused on how to restore everything back to Lightroom with all my metadata and changes etc
I am using Windows 7 and have already restored my files back onto the computer. I've done some research but it makes my head hurt and have seen several different ways to do it . I just want to make sure I don't mess it up.
Lightroom :: Overly Saturated Oranges After PC Crash
Apr 10, 2012After a computer crash, Lightroom 3.6 is showing all my pictures, all cameras (7D, T1i, G12) with an oversaturated orange colours (to fix this I have to reduce red saturation by -15 and increase red hue by +68 ) . I do not see this in CS5 not in Canon's DPP. I could create a new rpofile to revert this issue, I am afraid this will cause issues when I upgrade to newer versions.What can I do to restore my old settings without messing my updates?

Mar 13, 2012I just upgraded from LR3.6 to 4.0. When trying to import images the import module freezes for a few minutes and then displays the import screen. However, when selecting a source the program freezes again and eventually crashes.
I had the same issue when upgrading to 3.6 some time ago and then found that disabling some USB controllers solved the problem. This works for LR4 as well. As I don't need all USB connections this is a workable solution, however, disabling controllers should not be necessary to run a program.
System is an Acer Aspire 7811 64 bits w/ Intel i7, Win 7 Home Premium, 8 GB internal mem and no external drives.
Lightroom :: Why Doesn't Auto Import Actually Import Images Into Catalog
May 19, 2012I'm using LR4 with a Canon camera setup (Wind 7 Ultimate). I've got the auto import setting all configured with an incoming folder and destination. The app recognizes when an image is put in incoming folder and in fact it moves it to the destination folder. What is really annoying is that it leaves me at the import settings dialog and then I have to make all these choices as I would if I were manually importing.
Shouldn't the images be places in the desination folder and some view of that image be displayed in LR? It could be the folder view or ideally I want to see the last image imported at 1:1 size so I can review it and see if I want to take another shot? Maybe there is some flag I've got set incorrectly.
Lightroom :: Previous Import Count - Auto Import
Dec 21, 2011I use Auto Import to import my RAW files. Each time LR imports my files the Previous Import count number increases. Is there a way to reset this count so it shows a true reflection of the photos from my previous import session?
Correct me if I'm wrong but if you manually import files the Previous Import count number resets itself automatically. I've Googled this problem & this question has been asked before - all users were utilising Auto Import.

Nov 19, 2012I'm using Win 7, 64-bit on a new PC with 16-GB of RAM and plenty of power. I've been editing 40 and 50 MB DNG files for several months with no difficulty. I recently scanned over 1500 old negatives (on a Plustek 7600i) and then imported these tiffs into LR. Again, there were no problems encountered.
I was editing one of these tiff files (27.68 MB) and eventually started to remove all the dust spots and scratches. At first, all went well. However, when I got up to a few hundred of these spot removals, LR4 slowed to a crawl and eventually crashed. The slowdown and crash only occurred whenever I attempted to open this particular tiff and activate the spot removal tool. All other photos opened and edited without problems.
I then tired the same spot removal on a different tiff from my scanned bunch, and encountered the same kind of slowdown and eventual crash of LR.

Nov 6, 2011After ugrading to LR 3.5 I have not be able to print an image. Each time I move to the Print Module the systems crashes with the error message "Adobe Light Room has stopped working". My viedeo card is an ATI Radeon HD 5570 and I have no problems printing from any other program including Qimage. Windows 7 64bit updater shows all updated to the OS have been made. All the other functions in LR are working normally. Only the print functions seems to be failing.
