View 2 RepliesI was under the false impression that Lightroom 5 would work with my Nikon D90. This does not seem to be true..
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am a mac user with 10.7 OS. I recently upgraded to LR5.3 and thought to try out the tethered shooting feature with my Nikon D300. In the ‘Tethered Capture Settings’ window it shows the naming format as a DNG file. I only import image files in their native ‘NEF’ format though I am aware of the advantages of ‘DNG’ files.Anyway I noticed the captured images were named as ‘nef’ files with its standard sidecar xmp file. Note the lower case lettering for 'nef'. I am not able to import these files to my external HD because these images were grayed out in the Import window. However if I changed the format names to upper casing, NEF, these images are visible for import.
How can I avoid the extra step of having to the change the casing of the letters and have the captured images in the tethered shoot all have the correct upper casing instead?
Using Lightroom to shoot tethered to a Leica M9?how to do it?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI need to shoot in tethered capture mode and have found that my D90 in not fully supported in this mode. A D7000 is fully supported, but will cost somewhat more than I had hoped to spend. The new D3200 would be an excellent match for our needs (dental photography). My question: Do this camera is supported in tethered capture and if not, does Adobe plan on adding it as a compatible camera anytime soon?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to LR 4.2 and have lost the ability to shoot tethered with my Canon 5D. I reloaded LR 3 and everything works fine, so this eliminates a bad camera or tether cord. Something has happened in the upgrade!
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to practice shooting tethered for an upcoming shoot. I am unable to get Lightroom and my Canon 70D to connect. I receive the dialog box shown below several seconds after attempting to connect. I went through all the steps on the "Troubleshooting tethered capture in Lightroom" and can shoot tethered using Canon's software. I am using Lightroom 5.3 on a MacBookPro 13 inch with 16 gb ram running system 10.9.1

View 8 Replies View RelatedBy reading comments herein, one is led to believe that LR 5.3 provides tethered capture support for the Nikon D-610. Well, I have a MacBook Pro and OSX, and beg to differ. I cannot, for the life of me, get LR 5.3 to recognize my D-610.
what steps I need to take to get the software to recognize the camera?
If this camera is not supported, when will the D-610 be added? LR 5.3 already supports the 610's predecessor, the D-600; this camera had such a serious dust/sensor problem that Nikon quickly introduced the 610, which is virtually identical but without the sensor problem.
Lightroom 4.1 is not seeing my Nikon D700 in tethered mode.
(I'm on a big Mac Pro running 10.6.8.)The Nikon has the latest firmware.
I have started the computer, the camera and the software in different sequences always getting the same result---No Camera Recognized.
I have a laptop Windows Vista which will not allow me to upgrade Lightroom 3.2 to 5.3. I have bought a Nikon D7100. Is it possible to enable the older version of LIghtroom 3.2 to recognise the Nikon D7100 for tethered shooting?

If not, will this covered in the future?
I just installed Light room 5 and try to use the tether funtion from Light room 5. But it shows "No Camera Detected" I checked the USB cable and it is connected correctly. Is there any solutions to fix that? Or Lr 5 does not suport Nikon D3000?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am interested in shooting with my D700 and lightroom 3 tethered. Is it possible for the image to be recored both on the card and on the tethered computer?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI love tethered Shooting but as default (at least for Nikon) Lightroom does only save the file on the computer, not on the memory card.
Now I want to have a backup of the image file on the memory card additionally to downloading it. The tethering software digiCamControl can do this with my camera, so it is technically possible.
So how can I achieve this using Lightroom tethering?
Is it possible to add a shoot name to photo's that have already been imported, I can't see an option to do this in rename photo's
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am attempting to shoot with both of the above cameras tethered to lightroom, but when I swap cameras it won't shoot as the display on the camera states that it is busy. So is it possible to shoot with two cameras attached to lightroom at the same time?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI did a studio shoot recently and all 400+ images were properly exposed. But at one point during the shoot I must have hit a setting on my camera that under-exposed by 1 stop or so about nine frames. Is there a way in Lightroom 4 to bring those nine frames up to the same exposure value as the others. I was shooting in Canon camera RAW.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt seems that even with a calibrated screen and across multiple print labs and colour profiles, my prints will always come out about a third stop darker than what looked good on the screen. I attribute this to the screen emitting light vs. the page only reflecting it. My question: is there an efficient way to give an equal exposure boost across an entire shoot? I don't want to sync a specific exposure setting. I want to make virtual copies for print and then add maybe 0.3 exposure to all files, on top of their current setting.
The only way I can think do to it now is to export 16-bit tiffs which will reset the exposure to 0.00 for those files, and then sync them all at +0.3 exposure. This is really inefficient for time and hard drive space. Even a preset will only set a specific overall exposure setting. I want a preset that adds exposure to the existing number.
Way to import the raw file when I shoot jpeg and raw at the same time.. and then develop those files ? Also did there used to be a setting during development for "lights" ?
canon 5d canon 70 to 200 2.8 L
Win 7 64bit
Lightroom 4.1
Photoshop CS5
The Filename Template Editor has different options depending where it is opened from
If it is opened from the Import menu there is an option to add "Shoot Name".
If opened from the Library>Rename Photos there is no option to add "Shoot Name".
Furthermore, if one invokes a preset by the Library>Rename Photo route, that was created during Import with a "Shoot Name", then the "Shoot Name" part doesn't show up in the preset.
Problem: Connects and works once in 30 or 40 tries. Sometimes shows the camera connection and sometimes it will not. Have changed cables, wiggled cables, used different USB ports, and anything else I could think of to do. When it works, the Tethered Capture window does show all the pertinent info and the shutter release button works. Most of the time, it will at least recognize the camera, but none of the settings and will not download to the computer/Lightroom (as seen below). The camera will shoot and record the image to the internal card... just not to the computer/Lightroom.
I have since run maintenance programs, rebooted, changed to 32 bit, etc......

4.1 Tethered Shooting with 5d MK III?When will this be available?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have OSX 10.7.2 loaded on my MacBook Pro. All was well prior to Lion , but now I find that my 5D will not shoot tethered on the MBP
The software recognises the camera but will not fire it remotly or download image files when the canera is fired from the camera release. My 1Dslll works just fine
My iMac still has 10.6.8 and that works fine with the 5D.
Lightroom is Version 3.5
If I can't get it to work with the 5D I'll just have to reinstall Snowy.
When will tethered capture support be avaialble for the D800 and D4?
