I've tried to figure out the pattern of how the command works for inputting partial customization menu toolbar names but I'm unsuccessful.
You should be able to show and hide partial customization menu toolbars with the -toolbar command because it can hide all toolbars including my partial customization menu toolbars currently shown. I've tried the toolbar menu alias (defined in the CUI command) and the name (refer to this link to the same image embedded below) and none work.
I am working on a MacBook Pro with both Lightroom 3 and Lightroom 4 installed. I wanted to test my assumption DNG is a DNG and that changes made to a DNG in LR4 would be visible in LR3, so I made changes to a DNG in Lightroom 4, clicked Update DNG Preview and Metadata and then exported that file as a DNG. I imported that DNG into a different Lightroom 3 catalog and the changes were not visible, even after choosing Read Metadata from File. Those same DNG changes were not visible in Bridge either. The changes are visible in the Finder, but not in Preview. how I can make Lightroom 3 recognize the DNG changes made in LR4?
Using LR 3.3 on a Mac with Snow L. My catalog shows 72 images in a ceertain folder, but only 8 actually show as thumbnails. I therefore have no access (in LR) to the other 64. If I search for one of them by name, it can't find it. If I try to re-import them, LR shows them as already imported.
When using Lightroom 5's Adjustment Brush the toolbar under the image that contains "Edit Pins and Show Mask Overlay" is missing. I must have turned it off by mistake but how do I restore it ?.
While importing images from camera, created a sub-folder by clicking on parent folder in the import destination panel and selecting create folder from menu. Create the new sub-folder in the pop-up dialog and chose it. The new sub-folder is not shown in the destination panel. The sub-folder is visible in finder and the permissions/ownerships of the folder are the same as the other sub-folders.
If I click on the parent folder and select create folder, the sub folder is displayed in the dialog. If I select it instead of creating another sub-folder, it is still not shown in the destination panel and another sub-folder is selected.
I just completed a major photo scanning project and added a bunch of folders of dated pictures to lightroom. However when i expand the top level folder I can not longer click on the bottom set of folders (can scroll and see them). My collections are also not visible with the top level folder expanded. Clicking a couple times on some of the bottom folders - trying to get them to select results in lightroom locking up, steadily increasing in memory usage (got above 8GB), and crashing.
I have tried creating a new catelog, reinstalling, and reverting to 4.4 from 4.4.1 (thought 4.4.1 might have been the issue), to no luck. The only thing i can come up with is that maybe there is a max number of folders that can be displayed? For the record I have 1705 folders within one top level folder.
System specs: Running Lightroom 4.4.1 64 bit on windows 7 64 bit. i7-3770, 16Gb Ram, 256GB crucial m4 SSD for catalog, 6TB Raid 0 WD Red Drive array for images, paging disabled.
Short version: My printer profiles are not showing up in the "choose profile" dialog in LR4.
Long versioin: I'm trying to print an image from LR4 to my Xerox Phaser 8560 using a custom color profile I created with my ColorMunki. However the profile isn't showing up in the "choose profile" dialog box. There is also no apparent way to open a dialog box to search for the file. The profile is recently created. Works in Indesign CS4. It's located in the main Library/Colorsync/Profiles/ and my user (~/Library/Colorsync/Profiles/). It doesn't show up even when checking the "include display profiles" checkbox which is the only option available.
I have just added a seond external drive to my Windows 7 computer. I can view the contents of my backup drive but I cannot see the new Seagate drive I just installed. I have read and searched but cannot figure out how to make the drive visible.
is there any way to set your crop area quickly? It would be a huge time saver if there is a shortcut for it. In many cases I use 1:2 view magnification, or any of predefined in fact. I can adjust crop from that pont if necessery... There should be a key shortcut for: crop to visible, crop to visible with image ratio (+ modifier key for longer and shorter side). Is it only me, or it should be one of the basic commands with crop tool??
1. Made virtual copies, count goes up, can't see them in grid in library, develop, or in loupe. Thought they were stacked, but when I went to Photo>stacking> the rest is all grayed out...can't do anything. "set as master copy" also grayed out,. Read somewhere "preferences for lightroom might be corrupt"???? I tried to do the thing in the library to correct the preferences,:(on moubntain lion 10.8.3), but in the user file there is no library...so I then looked up how to find the hidden library, but I can't find the stuff to do THAT!!! And, there IS a library on my hard drive, but when I open THAT up, there isn't anything about preferences.
I JUST bought this 2 mos ago--how can it have corrupt preferences when I only just started using it???--used it once, then discovered diddn't have right processor in old computer...bought a new computer...took several weeks to get (bought increased ram)...now I am just using for first time today. Started importing, but they are all coming up missing photoi (when I had lightroomn installed on old computer, I deleted uit and pics), then reinstalled and it was migrated over to this new computer. I looked up how to massive transfer missing photos and there is NO folder with a question mark, so I have to do hundreds and hundreds manually--can I tell you I am really hating LR4.4?
I imported my iPhoto Library in Lightroom 4 but unfortunately my attached places (GPS data) are not visible in Lightroom 4.My other geatagged photo's are.
I recently purchased Creative Cloud and installed Lightroom 4. I already had Lightroom 3, so the software asked to update my catalog. When I opened Lightroom 4, all my pictures and preferences were the same as Lightroom 4. But, I also realized that none of the develop settings had updated to Lightroom 4 status. I've used the software on other peoples' computers and I know that 4 has different sliders, like shadows and lights, etc. Nothing looked different from Lightroom 3. Why didn't the software update? I didn't pay to get the exact same software!
I have created a couple of collections but when I go into slide show the images are not visible for creating a slide show. Works ok with some collections but not all. Presumably there is a linkage problem. Using v4.4 on a Mac.
While I can use the "S" key to access softproofing, the checkbox doesn't show on the toolbar and the the option simply doesn't appear in the toolbar pop-up either!
When using the LR5 spot removal tool I can perform cloning or healing and LR automatically selects the target used to clone from, but I cannot see where this area is on the image. A pin should appear with a line connecting the area to be removed and the target area used to clone from. I see no pin. Is this controled by a setting?
My Publish Services panel is enabled and visible, but it is empty. All Publish Services are invisible. However, it seems they are still there, because from a photo I can "Goto Collection" and select the Published Collection that it's in. In grid view, this takes me to the screen where it shows me Published Photos, Modified Photos, etc. But I cannot create new Published Collections.
I am using Lightroom 5.2 64-bit on Windows 7. This problem only arose recently without any known trigger. I've had this problem before but it went away on it's own after I published from a different catalog.
After processing images in Lightroom 5, I exported them as jpgs to another folder, which I intend to upload to a printer. However, the stars i used to rate the images appear in the upper left corner of the jpg. Why did this happen and how can I get rid of the visible stars?
there is a problem with my code, when I load this dll,the toolbar‘s name can be fond in the customization dialog, but never shows in the UI(AutoCAD custom WS)。。。。It crush me up。。

I really like using Photoshop, but every once and a while I get this problem when I'm using Photoshop 7.0:
On the toolbar to the left-hand side (default), when I left-click a tool, the menu option for the other buttons (ex. Paint Bucket and Gradient) pops up. The strangest part is that it sometimes does this, and sometimes doesn't; I have never done anything to turn it off or on.
I would really like to turn this off, because it is incredibly distracting when I am switching through a lot of tools on a project!
