AutoCAD Architecture :: Open File - Shows Creation Date And Not Last Save Date
Jul 2, 2012All of a sudden I notice that when I open a file in Autocad Architecture, it shows the file creation date and not the actual last save date. Only thing I can think of is I reinstalled 3dsmax Design and I wonder if that changed something. I attached a screenshot for reference.

Sep 21, 2009We are getting ready to deploy 2010 and I am writing a script to set some of the system variables on all the installs.
We have some users with 3rd party programs that won't run in 2010 yet so we will have a few people still running 2007 and 2008. I want to set the default File Save As in my script to 2007 format but I can't seem to find a variable to modify this.
In case I wasn't clear this is the setting found in Options, under the Open and Save tab, in the File Save section.

May 17, 2013how I can use a variable as the target for a Save as PDF option in Illustrator javascript. the variables work fine where there is no enumerated value for the property i.e. opts.generateThumbnails but I can figure out how to get it working opts.compatibility or other properties with enumerated values using a variable as the definition.
The code snippet example below will always give an 'Enumerated Value expected' error when run for the opts.colorCompression option even though the string is correct. If I define the opts as opts.colCompression = compressionQuality.AUTOMATICJPEGHIGH then everythings works

Photoshop :: Wrong Date Inserted In File Properties When Using Save As
Dec 18, 2012Photoshop CS6, running on 2006 iMac, OS X 10.7.5. Opened a .tif file (which did not have a Date File Created in its file properties. Saved it as a .psd file using "save as". In Bridge, Date File Created shows 12/31/03 7:00:00 PM.

Sep 27, 2012What the maximum size xml file one can use when making data driven graphics in Illustrator?
I can successfully batch when I load a single variable library with about 100 datasets at one time but anything much larger than that in the same xml format gives me a “the incoming variable library is invalid” error. Elsewhere on this discussion forum I have seen answers say there is no limit to the size of the XML file. [URL]..... But my experience with Illustrator CS5 says otherwise.
1. If there is a maximum size either in file size, number of datasets, or number of variables/values, what the limit is.
2. I still need to create thousands of the final document I am creating - if the limit is close to 100 and I need to create many thousands - scripting or other methods to get this done?
AutoCAD LT :: Insert A Field To Show Current Date
Mar 2, 2012I have placed a field directly into my paper space ( not in a block ) to show the current date. This is a company requirement so when the drawing is printed, it shows the date of printing. The field just shows the date that the field was inserted and doesnt update. If i replace it, i get todays date but it stays on the date.
How to get this to always show the current date?

(1) Import the blocks to the current drawing, if the blocks have already been imported, then do nothing.
(2) Specify the insert point by clicking the mouse, and I want the block's insert point to coincide with the mouse clicking point.

Jun 18, 2013am having an Issue with CS6 when saving files. When saving a file using the 'Save' option (not 'Save As') the file is not staying at the size of the artboard as it should, it is however being aurtomatically cropped down to the actual artwork size. This is causing issues with the Process we work with as we need the file to stay at the artboard size.If I click 'Save As' and change the Adobe PDF Preset to 'Press Quality' then this works, however this means that every file we save(which is quite alot in a day) means we have to go through the 'Save As' option and manually change each save.why this has suddenly started to happen with our Illustrators and do you know how to fix this so that it stays at the Artboard size when 'Save' is used?

For example:

and i would want the outcome to be: variable.dwg, rather than filename.dwg. I have tried numerous different ways of doing this with command prompt and cant seem to get anything to stick. Everything that works just creates a file named "filename.dwg", which is not what i want to do.

Sep 4, 2012After latest Ai CS6 update (16.0.1) app is still unstable, it's works like alpha version. I still have the same problems (I reset preferences etc.):
- very very very often freeze on File/New...
- very often freeze on File/Save for Web...
I bought update from CS5.5 to CS6 but at this moment Ai CS6 is absolutely unusable for me. I'm back to Ai CS5 and everything works ok. How is possible that older version works like a charm on Mac OS X 10.8.1 on Mac Pro (Early 2008) than never version CS6?
