I was wondering if there was a way to create several different pages in one GIMP file. I am trying to create a magazine (for work) and I'd like to be able to keep each page in one file. That way I'd be able to save it all together and use my PDF printer to convert the file when I'm done.
Is this possible? I know I can do it in Microsoft Publisher, but I'd rather use GIMP for this project.
I'm trying to get myself a little better with digital art, but still not too comfortable with the idea of doing the initial drawing without pen and paper. The only downside is that I can't really get those crisp colors with just pencil colors.
how do I go about setting things up to where I can color in a scanned, non-colored inked page, but without worrying about overlapping my inks and making it look messy in general. I imagine it would have something to do with copying and pasting new layers, but I just can't get a handle on what I'm supposed to do. I also know about messing with opacity to let outlines show through, but there's still the issue of color dulling the black when it overlaps.
I am trying to load single pages from multi page tiffs, convert them to monochrome (dithered), flatten the image, then save them as single monochrome, ccitt group4 tiffs. - all through scripts.
The multipage tiffs contain pages in grayscale and color which were created using the old style (problematic) JPEG compression option.
I have tried other tools, such as libtiff (modified with a patch to handle the old jpeg compression), and the latest version of imagemajick. Unfortunately they cannot correctly convert the files, whereas gimp can, but only one page of the multi-page tiff at a time(gimp crashes if I load a 5page document (as separate images) then convert each image to monochrome,flatten and save in one session)
the scripting function for loading tiffsfile-tiff-load does not expose the options to load individual pages, or to select loading as images or as layers, which the visual file load/import does.
How I can achieve this using a script.? Manually is not a problem, but too time consuming for large (eg. 200page) tiffs.
My brother sent me a TIF file that had multiple pages within it. I never knew this was possible. Is this something that can be done in Photoshop then converted to a TIF file? Once I opened the TIF file, it allowed me to flip from one page to the next so the pages weren't all scanned side by side.

file name is customer name & 2XL is page name.
I am just curious if it is possible to take say a 100 page .cdr file and split it up into perhaps five 20 page .cdr files in a more or less automatic manner.
Sure, I can copy/paste the pages individually, but if this is possible it can save valuable time, energy and maybe even my sanity (if that is even possible).
I have to convert some documents form cdr to Al but ran into a problem. The cdr documents are better then 2 pages long/ big when I try to convert them into AI it tells me that it dose not support more then one page. is there a way to convert all my pages other then one page at a time?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm consolidating several book chapters into one Indesign file, by way of clicking on the thumbnails on the Pages panel and selecting 'Move Pages...' from the contextual menu.
The problem I'm having is that I can't maintain the page flow between chapters on the destination file, resulting in a broken spread between chapters when exporting to PDF. Here's a screenshot to better illustrate the problem, here seen in between pages 18-19:
I've tried turning on and off the following options on both the source and destination documents but nothing changes:
- Allow Selected Spread To Shuffle
- Allow Document Pages To Shuffle
I've also removed all the sections from the destination document (as you can see on the screenshot, page 19 does not have the little black arrow which denotes a new section), with no luck either.
I also tried dragging the thumbnails manually but to no avail; I just can't figure out how to keep the page spreads between chapters together.
I have a scan of a drawing that I need to get into photoshop but the scan goes onto page 2 of a pdf file. How can I edit the two scanned pages to end up with the drawing on one page in psd file?

it says something in the style of: An error occurred when trying to copy a file. The source file is corrupted.

I cant figure out how to "save for web" so that my *.jpg will be stretched across the web browser when people view it. When I view my *.html after "save for web" it places the *.jpg in the top left corner of the page. I can use Dreamweaver to center my image, but it still looks out of place. View 6 Replies View RelatedI needed to re-use an existing pdf (for a business card, with bleeds and marks), which was last saved with AI CS6. So, in order to get the filename in the "new" pdf to reflect the new use, I opened in in Illustrator CS6, and just re-saved with the new filename. Now my 1-page pdf suddenly has 4 pages; pages 1 and 2 look like they should, but pages 3 and 4 don't have bleeds showing.! What???
I used a custom in-house joboptions file for the settings; this joboptions file did start in InDesign, but has never caused problems before, and I have used it often in Illustrator. I just deleted the extra/new pages, and proceeded, but I am confounded by this.
I want to put 2 .pdf pages on one page. I used to do it with Illustrator (CS5) and it worked just fine up until now, but now (when I import .pdfs) Illustrator gives prompts like:
"The font Arial is missing. Affected text will be displayed ..."
Is there any way of eliminating such prompts with those .pdfs?
