View 7 Replies View RelatedI have recently upgraded to CS6 from CS2. I do a lot of digital inking in Illustrator as part of my job. In CS2 I would create a simple tapered brush using 4 anchor points. When I would draw a brush stroke say with two anchor points, and then expand that brush stroke. Illustrator CS2 would convert the outlined tapered brush stroke back to the the original 4 anchor point path that I had originally created with maybe one extra point if the stroke curved drastically. Now is CS6 illustrator creates that same expanded brush with 9 to 12 anchor points in the path. This makes the program completly useless for my task. Is there anyway to correct this?

Window means that it scales up to the entire window, however it only goes up to 100%.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to expand a translucent image and keep the coloration even throughout. The original image is flat on top and fades to a darker color near the edge. I've tried everything I know how to do (admittedly not much) with no success. I attached a portion of the image to make it easier to understand what I'm dealing with.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHow do you rearrange the brushes in the brushes box?
I've seen they are arranged by name, so how do you rename the brushes since renaming the file name don't rename the brush.
As a new user I really prefer the single window mode but have a real problem in that every time I open a filter the window/box that open opens up underneath the single window and I cant see it without minimising the main gimp window. I've played with the preferences windows management options and seem to have all the file options curves etc on top now (these were opening under the single window at one point) but nothing I do seems to want to make the filter boxes open where I can see them - It's making GIMP quite unpleasant to use.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've loaded a set of brushes I created into CS6. They show up fine in the menu bar brush window, in the Preset Manager, in the Brush Preset palette above my layers palette, but they will not appear in the brush preset fly-out window. This is where I do all the manipulating of my brushes, of course, so this is essential. I have created many, many brushes and done this many, many times and have never had this problem.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI try to resize an image, Photoshop opens the resize image window where it is unviewable, on the top of the screen.
I tried making my resolution higher so i could get more viewable screen, but it's already maxed.
I have gone through the correct procedure for downloading new brushes from Deviantart. On my computer they appear now in my Gimp/brushes folder with the Gimp icon, so I know the file format is correct. I have closed Gimp and restarted..even restarted the computer and cannot get them to show in Brushes with Gimp open on a new project.

Open two images that are large enough to not fit on your monitor at 100% view.
Maximize both windows. (Do not use F to change to Fullscreen, just maximize the windows.)
Set both to 100% (CTRL-ALT-0)
Use the hand tool to move to another position in the first image. Make sure that Scroll All Windows is NOT turned on.
Switch to the second image. At this point you can use the hand tool to move around, or not. It doesn't seem to affect the outcome.
Switch back to the first image. Notice that it is now not viewing the same portion of the image as you set it to before you switched. I would expect the view to remain the same, there is no reason for Photoshop to reposition the image in the window just because I switched to a different document.
Note that if I perform the same steps, but in either of the two Fullscreen modes, the view position remains as I left it.
if I run this test in Fullscreen mode and then switch back to Maximized, sometimes the windows will behave as they did in Fullscreen mode (i.e. not repositioning), but sometimes they go back to the odd behavior.
I'm a relatively new user to Revit (almost a year). My issue is that all of a sudden my view control bar is located so far to the left in the view window, the project browser almost covers it. I know that I can move the project browser window so that isn't all that critical. My concern is that when I want to look at a schedule it also is so far to the left of the screen I have to move the other windows to see it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm starting to learn a bit about GIMP and in this process I downloaded some brushes.
For the most part I found brushes with file type gbr and gih. These are recognized by GIMP 2.8.10
Some of the brushes come with file type abr and ggr. These are not recognized by GIMP 2.8.10
Is there some way to make abr and ggr file types work under GIMP?

View 6 Replies View RelatedSo I've finally upgraded to GIMP 2.8, finding that .abr was native. I've downloaded thousands of brushes, only a hundred work, MAYBE. I'm confused because even the brushes that are not in .abr form do not work. Also, sometimes if I try to fix the brushes by uninstalling and reinstalling there will be random ones that work and then old ones disappear?
