If I understand it correctly, when you use the path tool...it allows you to make an image round (from rectangular) is that true?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to build a mine-tunnel for a mine-cart game. So I thought of creating three tunnelframes for the motion. I attached those three different wall elements I've got:
decke 1, decke 2, decke 3
I tried a couple of times to align them, but the result is just not right. I can't get them in the same shape (frame1, frame2, frame3).
I can't really get three frames done so that it looks like you're moving forward in a mine-tunnel. Is my approach just wrong? how I could get three frames done in psd?
I've to make a tunnel on my project. I get some subassembly on web but all the tunnel subassemblies have the target point on Width or Offset Target and Slop or Elevation Target. I don't know whats happens but only my region that owns the tunnel subassembly isn't recognizing on corridor, and isn't drawing on my sections too.

How do I make a 4 x 6 picture? I went to resize and converted to inches. i then put in 4 x 6, but it kept popping back to 4 x 4.
I have never used this program before, and I thought it looked easy, but I am evidently not doing something right.
The picture itself looks like a rectangular picture before I pulled it up in Gimp.
Is there an easy (or not) way to make a picture of two colors? I mean instead of black and white an image in yellow and blue or red and blue.

I have an almost finished picture but I need to make it night and just darkening the picture doesn't really make it look like it is night... what can I do to the picture to make it look like it is night outside?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI found this image of my great grandparents( I think that's who it is) in albums from the estate of my uncle. Imbedded in the pages of hundreds of photographs was this one negative.
I don’t have a negative scanner, but I scanned it into my computer with my regular flatbed scanner, hoping I could figure how to work some magic with Gimp and get a regular picture out of the deal.
The best I could come up with was colors>invert. But that produced less than satisfactory results. In fact, in made it look more like a negative.
How I can take my jpeg, and make it into a thumbnail picture that looks like its on a boxed framed canvas, at the moment when advertising my work, I simply put up a jpeg of my work before it goes to print and gets put on a wooden boxed canvas.
Other people somehow have their pictures on websites like they have already been framed. How to get this look, Im aiming at getting my pictures to look like they have a side on it so it looks like its on a boxed canvas. like the ones on e bay.
how would I make a clear glass effect, like when you look at a framed picture
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhat I want to do is take a design and automatically filter it to divide it into four parts that are moved into the corners of the image for tiling, like the Make Seamless feature. But I don't want any image-changing effects other than that, like gradients, which can't be turned off when using Make Seamless. What can I do?
If I have to do it manually, how do I do this? I can't seem to understand how to use the grid or ruler to find the exact center or divide the image into four equal parts.
A water reflection like this hopefully: [URL]

What effects should i apply?
I obviously got far enough to add the images together and get the correct size. I just cant find any tutorials to show me how to make the layers blend and look more natural. I added a new background to an image and I want it to look like it belongs there:

I am trying to make the warp effect of the texts from postcards. A perfect tutorial for this is here. However i it is for photoshop and i am having difficulty trying to mimic this using gimp. i come very close. but each step is slightly off.

I must say that the instructions are not very clear. It says: "Place the Picture-In-Picture effect on the clip that should be inserted in the background and place the background track behind it." ?
How do I place the background behind the clip afterwards? That's not possible.
Is there a relatively simple, automated tool in gimp to apply one picture's environment lighting properties to another picture?
So for example if i cut out an object from one picture that has pretty warm lighting environment, and put it in a cold light background it will look pretty out of place obviously, and this is what I would like to resolve.
or how to position a picture in a specific location within a background picture.

on it. how i can make this effect (only the effect with the persons)?
I'm making background image for myself, and i know how i want it to be, but i cannot do it with my skills.
I have this "base" image that is 1920x1080 and i have to place there several (10-12) photos.
i want those photos to be different sizes and rotations and i also want them to have white border and some shadow.
I want those photos to be like in this image that i found from Google: What is the best and fastest way to do this in a gimp.
I am fairly new to 3ds max and I am having trouble creating a tunnel, this will eventually be used for a cave.
I created a plane and converted to poly then extruded and moved some vertices to create a circular shape, then I deleted the polygon so it is hollow.
However it only appears at certain angles, I want the inside and the outside to be seen at both times, you can see what I mean in this picture: [URL] ....
I flip the normals and it switches from the outside shown to inside vice versa.
What would be the best way to create a wind tunnel model that you can then put different shapes into to see how aerodynamic they are and look at the friction and turbulence?
