Mar 7, 2008I just bought photoshop CS3. I have been working with Adobe Photo Deluxe 4.0. I know how to use that software, but I am completely lost in Photoshop. I'm trying to bring up two differet pictures. I want to crop out the head of someone in one picture, and place it on the body of my second picture. I know how to do it in Adobe Photo Deluxe 4.0, but I am completely lost on how to do it in PhotoShop.

Jun 16, 2011I've got a head and a body mesh.I selected both of them at the same time, and applied the skin modifier.
And then put in a lot of work skinning the body.I'd like to be able to replace the low poly head with a higher poly head from Mudbox, that has blendshapes (that I could hopefully use as morphs by moving sliders).
I needed to select both the body and head so that one skin was applied to both so that they would deform properly.
1. How can I replace the low-poly head with the hi-poly head (FBX from Mudbox).
The weighting on the head can be done again, but I can't loose all the weighting work on the body.
2. Any issues with getting the blendhshape morphs from Mudbox to work on the head?

Dec 12, 2011I'm trying to remove the blitz shadow from head and body on a white/grey background, with the Lasso tool. The adjustments with Brightness/Contrast in the chosen area works like a charm, however I always get a nasty pixeled or whitelined boarder going constantly around the edited area; no matter if it boarders to a black area (shoulder) or a gray one (wall behind person).
I've tried to edit the primary/secondary color, with no luck. Any way to make this boarder "blend in" to the new brightness area - or to just remove it? The edited area is somewhat identical to the old background, so there is no natural reason to why it should be a constant boarder.
Or is it a better (and easy!) way to remove blitz shadow from a black and white picture?

They're two different files but when I copy the picture from the first file and paste it to the second one the first one is so much bigger than the second. How do I fix this?

Jan 31, 2011After migrating my project from MDT2009 to Inventor 2010, every solid body in MDT became a part file in INV. If I were modeling from scratch, some of the .IPTs should be multibody parts. Is there any way to cut & paste a solid from one part to another to create a multibody part? I’m not talking about deriving a new part from the source parts. The end result should be a multibody part with all sketches intact and all solids fully editable, as if I had modeled them as a multibody part right from the beginning.
I’ve attached a simple example of two separate parts that should be combined into one multibody part, as shown in the .JPG file. Can it be done without deriving the parts?

Aug 4, 2012I am missing a crop tool which can rotate the crop rectangle. Similar to photoshop's tool. I found no way to rotate the crop rectangle in gimp. How do you cut out something from an image if it needs to be rotated while cropping? I tried rotating first then cropping but it does not give me enough precision so I end up with transparent areas at the border.

GIMP :: Cannot Paste From One Text Box To Another
Jan 16, 2014I am currently trying to copy some text I entered from one text box to another text box and GIMP not allowing it. I can paste the text just fine into any other application, word, browser, etc. so I know the copy/cut function is working fine. I've even tried opening the Text Box Editor from the text box itself and no luck there.
What gives? And why does it seem like I have to jump through ten times as many hoops for basic functions as I would with another program?
I'm trying really hard not to bash on GIMP after only using it for a few days but I would be lying if I said my blood pressure is damn near through the roof.

Feb 10, 2013It is my first time using Gimp and although i have figured everything i needed by myself, but i have a doubt, well im adapting a bunch of sprite work from one rpg maker engine (unknown name) to RPG Maker VX ACE, i have no problem there , the thing is that now i have 3 images that are exactly the same except from the color scheme and i was wondering if it is possible the put all them on a canvas and cut and paste the 3 layers at the same time on another canvas, something like this:

Paste

And after that i "pell off" each layer and get 3 pictures.

How do i do i copy and paste text from one jpg to create another. I have tried Ctl + c to copy but when i click the other layer to then Ctrl + A and then CTRL + P to paste like a youtbe video suggests, instead of the copied text being pasted on i get a dialogue window for the printer.

Dec 13, 2013What is the best way to paste an image into a background and have it blend nicely with the background to avoid jaggies.
I've been playing with the blur and smudge icon but then it depends on my eye and I lose resolution around the edges. I guess what I would want ideally is for a way to paste my image then have a slider or a way to select the amount of anti aliasing from image to background.
