I'm trying to change the white background on a picture of myself to be transparent. When I use the "Color to Alpha" tool, it works, but when I paste the photo into word/powerpoint/etc not only does it turn the white background 100% transparent but it also makes the whole image slightly transparent.
How can I make the white background disappear without making the whole image transparent? I want to use color to alpha because if I simply use the magic wand tool and delete the white area there is still some white showing through my hair.
What is the best way to change the background completely? The people in the foreground are OK but there is quite a flash glare on the wall directly behind the subjects.
I want to Change the title on this picture with out changing the background color or dameging the picture. If you can tell me, i think all i have to do is add a new layer.
I'm an exotic automobile photographer in the Houston area, and I edit tons of photos of mine a day. New challenge, me trying to change a background. I'm having trouble doing so.
How to change the background behind the green Ferrari in the picture? I was thinking in the middle of a rural road or something similar. Making it look very realistic as if it was there.
I am trying to whiten my photo background .I used the levels tool but now i want to adjust the tone on my photograph to make the picture brighter .I am using the instructions on this link URL.... but i am lost on the instructions to fix the tone.
how to make my image brighter. i am trying to change the background on .
I took a pic of my kitty against a pretty white wall but it was late at night so the wall came out very gray. I had to catch it before she moved. Can I change the color of the background and not the kitty or the hat?
however i want to edit a few pics of mine but i don't know how to open a pic in a gimp background ..i mean how to cut and paste and image from one gimp document to another...
as an example using a earlier post "Changing a white background to transparent (.png)" I have zoomed part of the edge of the logo.It varies from white through grey then up to the logo colour. My Query how do you decide at what point in this change do you stop the transparent section? As when you put colours or pictures as a background you would I think have to reblend the edges for each type of background.
I have a .png file of a WordPress logo that has a white background. I would like to take the white background and convert it to a transparent background. I am having a spot of trouble making it happen.
First time using GIMP. Following the directions here: ......
Using, "Color to Alpha," I tried to select the background of my .jpg image. The background is white, the picture (logo) portion is silver. Because of the closeness in color, when I select white, the software selects the entire image to become alpha (transparent).
When I select the color of the picture, silver, I am able to select just the logo portion. How can I take the logo portion, which is now converted to transparent, and give it a black or transparent background, and then return the logo back to its former color silver. The logo is perfect, it is just that I recently switched my site from a white header to a black header and the image has a white background, so that does not look good.
There are trees in the right of my picture that I want to spread across the entire background. I can't find anything that tells me how or if I can do it
I just want to cut out/lasso an item in a pic and not have a black or white background..just the item itself..
I have *picked a photo *click layer *chose transparency *added alpha channel* *cut/lasso item out *selected invert *pressed delete on keyboard *pressed select and none
I then get this picture which looks perfect right???
But when I copy and paste it or open file in paint or anywhere else it ends up like this? I want just the cut out and not the background too but no matter what I do the stupid thing comes with..
I used to work in Photoshop and GIMP, but then became sidetracked. I've forgotten half of it. I used to make siggies for others all the time, although I really was guessing my way through some of it. I knew I could do better.
Anyway, I figured it'd be wise to start with a really basic question. I'll use the pic below as an example.
In a pic such as this one, how would you go about seamlessly blending the edge of the picture with the background? (All I did so far was have 2 separate layers; the picture of the hottie, and then behind it of course was just the template where I tried to match the pink from the hotty pic).
I'm also curious about just blending 2 or more photographs together to create a collage. I've done this before, but I know I made it harder and more tedious than it had to be. So.... would a collage have to be done a little differently.
I used to go about all this various ways way back when, but like I said... I've forgotten half my little tricks which I know really weren't the correct and easiest route to go about it.
I have a bddy that's seen me do some fun things with PS, and I'm always looking for a challenge so he asked me if I could turn him into a white guy to see what he'd look like. My first thought was to use the color replacement tool, i used all the default setting for it but hanged the color part to background swatch. I then used the background swatch from his skin tone, and for the front color I chose a peach colored tone, but the problem is al it does it slightly lighten up his skin tone. I tried alternative colors such as blue, and it hanged his skin tone to blue right away...
How to make it blend in so you can't even tell it was Photoshopped into the picture. I use the magnetic lasso but there are always areas where it isn't smooth or part of the background is showing. Especially the hair.
On top of that it will be better or worse quality than the picture I'm adding it to. Or it will be darker or lighter, etc etc.
I have a picture that I like to change the colors on. I have attached the picture. I used the tool select by color which seemed to work but then the instructions I have found said to use the Color Exchange tool but that does not work.
I'm new to photoshop cc and I'm trying to cut and paste a picture of a person from one photo to fit in with other people in a different photo. They're two different files but when I copy the picture from the first file and paste it to the second one the first one is so much bigger than the second. How do I fix this?
I've tried looking for a tutorial about this but so far I've had no luck. I'm sorry if its been asked before, I tried searching but I couldn't find anything about it. Maybe I'm not typing the right words because I doubt nobody has ever wondered how to do this effect. I tried google too.. so I really think I'm not the right search.
