when I use publish to pdf with bitmap downsample image in cdr file deleted in pdf file. I am using Coreldraw X6 and another problem is that I have checked preserve pure black in color management. but i noticed that r0b0g0 in rgb bitmap also converted into Black100.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am currently using this method, creating a 1-bit bitmap from a grayscale "distress" texture bitmap, choosing transparent fill or outline depending on which area i need trasparent and powerclip it in text or other vector object.
Is there a way to achieve the same distress effect with transparency with FILL ? pattern fill maybe? eg can i save in some format this bitmap to use it maybe as a pattern in pattern fill and retain transparency ?

Corel Crashes after I applied the updates 1-3 & 4 in CorelDRAW X5.
Every time I go to combine a powerclip (basically recombine a previously broken apart powerclip) Corel Crashes. Again, there were no issues until I installed the hot fix (SP 3 & 4)Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, 16gb Ram, 280gb solid state drive..net Framework is all up to date.I sit here all day designing websites.

I've received floorplans from a client in PDF format. When I import or open the PDF, all of the outlines are coming in with a transparency applied to them (see attached png). I can't work with the file like this because DRAW is just choking. There are thousands of these lines and I can't figure a way to remove the transparency from all the outlines.
After applying drop shadow to a text, I find no direct way to edit the text without removing the drop shadow. I've tried the text tool, Ctrl-Click, Alt-Click, Shift-Click, etc, maybe I missed something.

Now the pdf is empty by opening acrobat and zoom is set to 5603%. I get this error when I try to change zoom to 100% "document (14)."
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a multi page document that contains links to various large tiffs. The filesize of cdr is decent to work with and it preserves them until I publish it to pdf .
Any changes made to document after this operation will increase the document file (at the next save) like the images are embedded , not linked. However, in the links panel still show up as links, but properties of images mention their full resolution instead of a thumbnail size, and working space enhanced view show that.
I tried for test with one page and only one image and confirmed this behaviour.I couldn't find any solution to this and I keep closing the document after publishing and open it again for changes.
When I use the Publish to PDF, it either creates a PDF file that is corrupt, or Corel itself crashes (Windows 7 64) give me a "this program has stopped working" error.
I tried uninstalling / reinstalling but it still does the same thing.
One of our tech writers has a handful of screenshots (mostly JPEGs and TIFFs) that he wants to use in a manual. However, the customer requires that the graphics provided to them be in .cgm format.
Despite all of my attempts (using CorelDraw X5) to import the bitmaps and then save as or export to .cgm, the customer says the files are "blank" and unusable. When I try and open the .cgm files I created using a web-based file viewer, the graphics show up as completely black. I have opened known good .cgm files with this same viewer, and the graphics show up as expected.
I have tried all of the different options avaialble to me (to the best of my knowledge; to call me a novice with Corel would be an understatement), with no success. Am I missing something? Or is there some other way I should try and accomplish this?
I might be missing something when searching for macros that allow you to do this but I thought I'd give this a shot.
Is there a way to copy a graphic from Photoshop using Cntrl+C and then use Cntrl+V to paste it into CorelDraw as an actual Bitmap and not a Photoshop object that I will have to then use the Convert to Bitmap?
Is there a way to set the "convert to bitmap" defaults? Specifically, in X5 I find it defaults to "transparent background" checked and I'd like it to default to no transparent background by default.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm using CorelDraw X4 on a Windows Vista Home Basic System. Trying to "Publish to PDF" produces empty PDF Files, with a page size of 0 mm x 0 mm. The original File has a layout of (German) A4 and a textbox with "Test".
There are no error messages.Even using a PDF Printer (FreePDF XP) doesn't produce a file, but gaves the error message
"%%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: -0,15789 ]%%GhostScript Error 1. Error, no PDF file produced! (False)".
I am a musician doing the CD cover of my band's 3rd CD.
On the CD back I have images, text and the usual barcode. How can I publich to pdf from X5 so my images keep CMYK and my barcodes keep Black & White? My CD label gave this comment after the pdf I sent them:
"I think you do not understand that the barcodes and codes in general HAVE TO BE IN BLACK/WHITE. You cannot just integrate it in the 4 colour artwork as if it is a picture."

I am attempting to publish a pdf of a booklet I've been working on. It is currently set up with facing pages.
I want to publish it as a pdf, but so that it maintains the booklet format. That is, when it opens as a pdf, one should see both left and right hand pages, as one would browsing through a regular book.
How does one do this with Corel? I know once one has published, one can open the pdf and change the view setting to 'two page display.' I want this to happen automatically when the viewer opens the document though.
i have a problem with corel draw x4.
So: i create a document and publish it as a pdf. That works.
But when i open the pdf with acrobat the document is empty. Just a white paper.
I am working in CorelDraw X3 and when I publish to PDF they are coming out blank? I have made many before and they are fine, I know to position it in the page, but still nothing? I am using Windows 7? By doing it through the 'prepare to bureau service' they work fine except the file size is massive?

When I publish something to PDF (in order to send it to a professional presser) the cutting lines are set on the 'bleed edge' instead of excluding the neccesary bleed margin of 3mm. In other words I am not able to provide any PDF document with a bleed margin which is (obviously) very frustrating for the pressing company as well as for me.
- In Publish to PDF > Settings > Pre-press I checked the cutting-line box ( I work with a dutch version so excuse me if the the right translations aren't used. Check attached file for the settings).
- When I check the box 'Aflopen' (just above the cutting line box) the PDF file turns out white.
I am using Corel X5 in Windows 7 OS having 4GB RAM with Intel Core i3 processor. When I converting cdr file to PDF with prepress PDF preset will resulted a crashed PDF file. But with 'web' PDF preset may results fine. But the resolution goes high or custom , output is a crashed file.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy CorelDraw suddenly stopped to produce PDFs. The dialog "Publish To PDF" opens fine, but when pressing "Save" it won't do anything after a while of loading. Usually it starts to process the file and a progress bar is shown, but no such is shown and no file is produced. The settings opens fine and no problems there.
Re-installing has been tried without resolving the issue. Different files has been tried, same problem.
i cant rotate barcode and bitmap here
my previous file contains barcode it 90 deg position. when i open it with X4 it rotated to 0 deg and full stretch
i resize it to normal size but cant rotate it to 90 deg like used to before. i tried it with transform tool, but the apply button is closed
the problem with embedded bitmap are similar, can't rotate it too.
I have a bunch of objects on a CorelDraw page that together make up a button for a web page. I select all the objects: the toolbar tells me that the selection is 281px x 59px.
I press Export, selected only, the preview comes up. My button suddenly is 283px x 61px. Looking closely I can see a faint border around the actual button image.
What setting do I have to change to make it export what I tell him and not what he thinks?

I recently jumped from C-12 to X5, and now I simply can not work properly.
After creating an image and converting it to a bitmap, if it is converted to RGB I get the "failed to launch server application" error, while in CMYK everything works fine.
Frequently, I want to copy a bitmap from PhotoPaint X6 and paste into Corel Draw X6. I want to avoid exporting or saving the bitmap - just copy and paste. So what I'm copying is a CPT. I am having no luck pasting into Corel Draw from Photo Paint. I can copy and paste from Photo Paint into WordPerfect X4 although I do get the message that the "OLE object could not be created".
I've used the Copy/Paste from Edit and also the Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V. The option to Paste Special is not available in Corel Draw under these circumstances.
I'm running Vista Home Premium and have installed all updates to the Windows system.

If I draw a shape (or select an already existing shape) and choose "Bitmap Fill" or "Full Color Pattern" CDX6 freezes and then after several seconds throws the "CorelDRAW X6 has stopped working" error at me with the only options to "Check online for a solution..." or "Close the program"
Prior to the 16.2 update CDX6 would freeze in the above circumstances but eventually come out of it and apply the fill (program wouldn't have to be closed).
All other fills work as expected. This is a Win7 32-bit system.

when im working a bitmap in corel draw and then finish them and i need to savi it in CMYK,how can i do that?? when i go to the simple way and just export them i lose my initial colors of the image.

Have already tried F8 on both DRAW and Paint to no avail.
(CorelDRAW X6 x64 on Win 8.1 x64)
If I export an image out of CDx5 as a tiff or jpg and print it on the Roland VS640 any white areas are off grey.
If I export an image as eps or pdf with a bitmap with a white background in the content the white background is off grey...eg. client supplies their logo as jpg format to go onto a white banner.
Is there some macro, script, add-in to resample all bitmaps in a document to a desired resolution and color mode ?
