View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to apply a color to selected objects without having to search for the color in the color palette. So say if I am working with an image that has multiple colors but want to use only one of the colors in that image, is there a way to apply it without having to create or add it to the palette.

Specifically I'm trying to change the color, I'd like the enirety of my weld callout to be a different color...just for visually tracking and locating on the drawings.
So if I change it to orange...right now the leader and text are orange but the weld symbol itself and the tail are still black.

Im trying to weld text into the inside of a circle. I can weld the base lines of my text to the circle's edge but i can get the base line to follow the curve of the circle.
This is a practice design for a laser engraver. Im new to Corel and laser engraving. The shop I work at has the equiptment and software for the process and I've recently been granted access to do some personal stuff.
I am new to Corel Draw. I am attempting to recreate a logo with 2 letters, but I need them to overlap and then outline. It is apparently not possible to weld them, but is there another way to accomplish this?

I am practising filling objects with color. I have attached a file of a design drawn freehand, completely as a random shape. Why I am unable to fill the top left part of the design (above the dark blue) with any color?
So far as I can tell, there are no gaps. Also I have used arrange/join curves to close any gaps. Whatever I try, I cannot get any color in to that area of the design.
1. Artistic Media tool must draw in color! That's why we call it "Artistic" - first choose color, and then draw. It is natural.
2. After the object was created and COLORED by me, everything was fine, I try to reduce the size of the work and realize that I was forgot to mark "Scale stroke with object" option and there comes two problems:
2.1. I can't select multiple AMT-objects and change this COMMON option for them.
2.2. When I change this option FOR EVERY SINGLE OBJECT I previously made, it turns strokes back to black color!
And now comes the third and fourth problems:
3. Now I must SELECT OBJECTS ONE-BY-ONE AGAIN to re-color them!
4. And I have to remember every color for every stroke?!
I have a large group of objects, all one color. I need to make a subtle change to the color. Is there a easy way to change all the colors in a group of object to another specific color? Some objects only have an outline, and some only have a fill without having to go through each object one by one in the object manager?

If I'm able to do from using CD's tools external to the program, or do I need to download a third party program to do it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen i use margue select i get the blue dotted line but it disapears when i let go of the mouse and nothing is selected, this happens no mater what i'm trying to select. Do i not understanding how it works?
Second dumb question.
I have hit or miss luck with the weld feature some times it works and other times it simply will not work. I'm trying to make a small metal sign and need solid numbers (not Stencil) I draw a rectangle and add text above it and move it down to the top of the rectangle and select both and hit weld, some times it works and some times it doesn't. I have also tried to weld text to a 2 point line and cant do that at all, I suspect the 2 poing line is considered a demensional line so that may be my problem there. I have spent the greater part of a day trying to figue out thes two problems I have watched Graphics unleshed and read all i can find and still haven't figured out if it is me or the program. I have the problem with any of the fonts that come with X5.
I know my code below wont work, just putting here to hopefully explain more exactly what im trying to do
Sub FindbyFill()
Dim sh As Shape
dim findColor
ActiveSlection.GetColor = findColor
For Each sh In ActiveLayer.Shapes If sh.FillColor = findColor Then ActiveSlection + sh
End If
Next sh
It makes very serios color shift. how can I prevent this.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI often produce graphics in CorelDRAW, export it as en eps file and insert it inside a MS Word document as an image and finally convert it to pdf. This way my vector graphics (often linedrawings with or without fill) usually is preserved in the final pdf document. I can zoom in and the lines keep on displaying perfectly sharp. This is important, since it easily looks bad when thin lines are turned into bitmaps, even when watched from a distance.
Now, in some graphics I created today, I had a circle with fountain fill and outline (symbolizing a sphere) put behind a filled rectangle, which had a uniform transparency applied to it. In the resulting pdf file, the 'sphere' was turned into bitmap. Inside CorelDRAW everything was vector graphics, but something was loast in the process. what happens with the graphics in the different steps in the process and eventually could explain a workaround to make everything look as vector in the final pdf file.
I still use Corel Draw 12 and my question is is there an easy or automatic way to make the outline color of an object the same color as the fill color? I do it the hard way of trial and error until I get the right outline color from the color dock/pallette.
View 10 Replies View RelatedSet the Trace Bitmap so that the outline color defaults to the same as the fill color on the resulting curves? Currently, resulting curves have to be edited one color at a time to give them hairline outlines with the same color as the fill. It's mighty tedious for complex vector art.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm having a major issue here, I use custom colors (created in my custom palette), X^ used to hold it very nicely, even in PDF exports etc.
Now - with the latest update, X6 "forgets" the custom colors, it resets it to default color, I have to manually set every object to the custom color all over again.
We print out spot color seps every day using CorelDraw X4. After we print out the plates, I have to cut down the vellum that we print on so that we do not have a bunch of extra blank vellum on the sheet.
We make use of the info that is printed on the lower left of every page where it states something like the following:
S:DirectoryWhereTheArtworkisLocatedfilename.cdr
Wednesday, December 23, 2011 8:00 AM
Plate: 1 of 3
After I cut down the sheet, I then have to hand write the name of the spot color onto the sheet of vellum in marker.
Is there any way at all, to make it so that CorelDraw would actually add the name of the spot color that is printed on each page to the information that is already being printed to the lower left? Ideally, it could be placed in the same area where it's already printing the plate information on the last line.
Could it read:
Plate: 1 of 3 Color: Pantone 375
I have try Coreldraw X6 64bit in Windows 7, After use Color Harmony, I have a question about it, How to change color for selected object only, because color harmony change all color in object even it in different page ?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to transform a 4-color CorelDraw picture into a 2-color one at reasonably good quality?
The problem I met is at the galley.
I could, or might, only be able to get a 2-color printer at reasonably good price.
The original design is 4-color. But the actual detail is not very important.
They are book covers, which only need to protect the book.
The exported picture is shown below:
To create 2-color artwork from any colored vector clipart I used to be able to:
import colored clipart convert to CMYK if needed select entire graphic and create new styles with 2 parents change (edit) the colored parent to a named Pantone spot color (the child colors automatically become percentages of the Pantone spot color) "find and change" the remaining CMYK to Grayscale, and then back to CMYK (this ignors the spot color and converts the annoying rich blacks to percentages of K) export to a PDF file--which when imported into, say, InDesign, will separate on the K and Spot Color Plates only, in all its glorious shades of gray and tints of Pantone spot color.
I'm completely at a loss on how to do this in X6, and I'm on a short deadline.
All files that have "almost" a white background in coreldraw are not identified by contacogge of corel. The minimum percentage of magenta or yellow 1% 2% is M = 0 y = 0 while the same file in photoshop it appears correctly. la'llegato explains well what I mean. When i print image i see red in background and this is a great problem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a 3D model that I tried applying turbosmooth to. Everything was chaotic, and after looking into it, I found that 1/2 of the vertices are unconnected (yet in the right place). Is there a maxscript or something I can use to weld all vertices within a certain distance (a very small distance)?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently decided to restart on an older project, made in some older software long ago, a somewhat simple racetrack.
I decided to load this model into 3DS, and modify it to add several alterations and some heavy modifications. In order to retain it's original shape. I had decided to convert it to a Spline. According to my plans, this was the best solution, apparently.
And that's where the issue settles in. Due to the fact that the model was triangulated, when I selected the "Select Edges" and "Convert to editable Spline", the model became a skeleton of it's former self, and when you delete the un needed vertices the remaining spline consists of many un connected points, thus making Path deform and Sweeping impossible.
I cannot weld the vertices together, every attempt made thus far had been un productive, the vertices remain un connected and un usable. The spline in question can be viewed in the attachment.
I have seen several people with pictures that have the entire image in grayscale but they have one color or one object in the picture that remains in color.

In my iAssembly, I have placed a weld. In one of the members, I am suppressing the weld. When I change to that member, I get an error "Weld No Spine: could not compute Weld: Possible intersection failure". Inventor complains a little, but it does not show that Red Cross after the member is selected.
Why do I see that even though the weld is suppressed for that member?

I'm trying to model glasses. I have completed the frame and the handle. They are different parts of the 3D object. [URL] ...
Now I would like to connect them together. I tried to choose some vertixes and use cap poly tool to cap them. But it doesn't work: [URL] ....
Then I tried to move those vertixes close to each other and use the weld tool but it doesn't work either.
I have had many problems connecting different objects together with cap poly and weld vertixes tools in the past and now I would like to know is this a bug or what I'm doing wrong?
I am trying to weld two vertex's together but they just won't budge. Yes the vertex counter says "2 Vertices Selected" and yes i am presses the "Weld" button and yes i have tried to use "Target Weld" and that did not work ether. And the 2 Vertices belong to the same object so it is not possible to use the "Boolean" Feature of 3ds max because the objects would have to different to use the "Boolean" Feature but in my case they are within the same object. So what do i do now? I have exhausted all the ideas and thoughts that i could possibly try. The only thing that i can think of right now is that that 3ds max 7 won't weld because one of the Vertices belongs to a closed face. Or is there a script that overrides that feature?
