View 6 Replies View RelatedHow do you make a button do multiple functions....?
Example:
1. Clicking button multiple times to do something different. Example: for practice.
* Click Once for one action
* Twice for another
Again... Then back to original..And or, add a Hold shift option to do function? Is this complicated?
I was just fooling around with it one day and I made 2 guidlines intersect (one at 0 degrees and one at 90). I added a third one at 45 and tried to center it at the intersection of the first 2. It made a tiny tiny microscopic right triangle for some reason.
Also, sometimes the center is off on either the object or on the page. Like when I rotate copies of an object around another object (like making a clock face) the copies don't go perfectly all the way around. I redo it and it works fine.
Is precision an issue in CoreDRAW?
Want to make a swirl or swish design. found curly q stuff and smoke effects,
I want something with several lines close together in a wavy effect.
i found two effects on ps7...
one metalic>
easy peasy, grab a brush about a 20th th height of your piece.
default colours go mad making left and right stripes up and down the page.
Add motion blur horizontally.
repeat in new layers until nice metalic effect achieved.
add cntl+f to each layer.
maybe some noise throughout layers and levels and diluted chrome may help?...
two swirl>
not a tut. but fun newayz, add some black shapes on white background.
add polar coordinates repeatedly on the first setting.
add black as you go nice swirls.
(try a black box on the left, one at the bottom and one at right - it makes a face )
I am trying to create text along a spiral path, and I need the text to get smaller as the spiral gets smaller towards the center. Something like this...
I have read that there has been a script called "ChangeSizesOfTextSelection.js" but it's for a much older version of Illustrator.
I am currently on CS6.
how to create a segmented circle as shown in the attached image. I have it as a jpg but I want to create it in Illustrator so I can have greater control over the parts. For example, while the image shows three segments, I may have to add another one into the image (it's part of a process demo).
View 7 Replies View RelatedI work on Mac and would like to print a design over multiple pages. The recurring problem however is that the printed sheets have a thin unprinted, blank border. I've tried various options in the print dialogue box, including all the borderless page setup options. This 2mm border keeps appearing in my prints. This is for silkscreening, so even though its only a 2mm border, this gap prevents me from putting all the printed sheets together as one design. The design, via the print dialogue box, is being saved as a PostScript file due to doing colour separations.

I am trying to make a perfect circle that is the size of a CD.
I have made guides that are 5" x 5" wide (a little wider than an actual CD) and 5"x5" tall. When I try to create a circle shape or marquis inside of my lines, I can't. I have to make an oval in order to meet my guides.
I thought it was an issue with my units in my rulers. No dice. I tried creating a marquis fixed at 5"x5". No dice. Still an oval. Shouldn't 5"x5" be a perfect circle? A circle with a circumference of 5" would be the same all the way around, right? Or do I need to go back to geometry class?
I have a square that I want to make into a circle, without distorting it. I want to create a circle using it as a stroke... I"m using CS2, can anyone help
I used the transform and the warp tool and got it into a circle, but there were points where it was pinched and it looked stupid.
I thought maybe there was a way to make a circle and use that "pattern" as a stroke for it, but so far I can't figure it out.
i tried making it a brush and needless to say...
We use that square to put around all of our letterhead and official station documents. I've created a CD-Rom media kit of our stuff and want to put it around the edge of the cd label, but unfortunately for me, cd's are round which is not condusive to the template I have....
how to make the circle part of this graphic?
I would like to make something similiar on a black background with silvery gray circle.
I was using a tut on how to make a circle. I clicked file then new then I picked circle and went to drag it to do the circle and the icon was a hand. When I tried to use other shapes the same thing happened. I just bought Creative Suite 4 (Web Premium) and I'm using PS CS4 Extended.

If there is a way to create multiple instances of bolted connections using design accelerator instead of having to add one by one which takes forever ? All the bolted connections are of the same specification.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have created multiple sections and produced drawings, but now need to amend the design and provide 1 additional section on the drawings. I added an additional sample line to the sample line group and then updated the secion view layout but the additional section did not show in the multiple section view. Is there a way to add the additional section to the existing multiple section view? or do I need to go through the process of deleting the current sections and creating a new multiple section view that includes the new sample line?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAre there any tutorials (a video, or with images) or any good book or readings on how to create a package design (packaging) with illustrator from start to finish? (From the beginning creating the dielines to the end product of a finished package, mockup examples.)

Now with PSP it was very easy to take a screen shot and highlight a button or area on the image by drawing a hollow circle or oval and set the border color and width.
I am struggling to find the best way to achieve this in Photoshop?
All I have found so far, shows me how to hand draw a complex shape. I just need a circle. I can do this in a few minutes in CorelDRAW and Illustrator.
You must be able to do it in PhotoShop. The end result is - I want it to work like a ship porthole. All you can see is what is behind the port window.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was merrily cloning away and somehow or another my clone tool changed into a very thin elipse rather than a circle. I didn't knowingly do anything to make it change.
I then made sure it was on the round fuzzy tool brush - but it insisted on making an elipse.
I've been trying to alter a photo to make it look like a crop circle - as in, getting the texture of the (headshot) photo to resemble a crop circle, but still be recognizeable. After several frankly laughable attempts with combinations of fx, ( pastel, pencil sketch, twisty stuff, etc)
