The alart appears when I tried to open it.
We are facing a strange problem in Corel Draw X4 and X3.First Corel Draw X4 corrupted its color pallet so that all colors were shown completely wrong. After that I tried to instal Corel Draw X3 which seemed to work ok. After a while when opening some older files, Corel corrupts these files. After I have opened them they are completelty empty and the file size is something like 10kb.
View 11 Replies View RelatedFrom time to time when saving a file the file gets corrupted. When trying to open the file, only a blank page is visible. Trying to open the file as zip says "error in packed file..." This happens several times a day (we are 5 users and this happens to everyone).
The out of memory issue is also a huge problem for us. This happens several times a day, often during printing.
Are Corel taking these issues seriously or don't you care about professional users which are dependent on reliable tools?

I need to export on a regular basis parts of a X6 file to eps. The files are huge an can contain all sorts of filter. They are all powerclips, some with shadows and transparency and symbols containing JPG's.
When i export the first part of it most at the time it works well, exporting the second set I am ending up with only half the data. If I copy and past into a new document and try from there I might get lucky or some other parts are missing, if I reduce the size by 50 percent same thing.
When I export my CDR file to EPS, which I've done thousands of time, it seems to export, but when I try to open it, I get an error "The file.......is an unknown format and cannot be opened". When I look at the file profile in my documents, I can see that it says "0 KB"
I can open up older EPS files from my documents fine, but not able to do that now.
When I export an Eps file to my other program, the color is off quite a bit, and sometimes changes the color completely. How do I fix this?

View 5 Replies View RelatedThe best way to export Corel Draw files to a format that other non-Corel users can easily manipulate? I have had trouble saving as or exporting to other vector formats in the past. I use very large files with imported jpg graphics, etc.
Also, do any of the effects/actions (drop shadows, power clipping, grouping) that we use in Corel affect the ability of other users to at least open and manipulate the file? Even if it's not exactly the same in the converted file, what is the most convenient way to allow another artist to view & manipulate Ai or EPS exported from Corel Draw? (Specifically X6 if that applies)
I am attempting to export one of my files (3 color vector file) to an eps file from Corel x6. I am using the Pantone Solid Coated color palette. When I export the file as an EPS for my client the colors are all turning black or shades of very dark black. I downloaded the ghostscript file but no luck. I have all the updates for Corel X6 as well.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI would like to be able to use CorelDRAW X3to plot directly with my vinyl plotter without the need of exporting files etc... I recently trialled a program called CoCut by Eurosystems and it worked great but Im not real keen on shelling that much money on the program.
How to prevent other programs importing PLT files from Corel making all lines between nodes straight. It seems to only export the node location and not the info on curves or straight lines which means the other program simply fill in between the nodes with straight lines.
I am fairly inexperienced using Corel. I work with Corel in a technical capacity for my job. We use it to transform DXF (AutoCAD) files into image files that can then be imported into another very specialized program for weaving.
The problem I am having is this. I would like to be able to export image files from corel that have a specified height, in pixels, larger than 10,000. In the woven program, the pixels of the incoming drawing have a real, physical representation. Namely, the number of pixels wide and high in the drawing translates directly into the number of yarns wide and high in a woven cloth repeat (weft (pick count) and warp (end count) for those who are familiar). We have some designs that require the length be longer than the 10,000 limit, and until recently we have been working around this by resizing ("scaling") the image without keeping the aspect ratio in the woven image editing program. This does ok, but when the lines and curves in the drawing get "stretched," they become very uneven and this is frustrating.
We cannot use jpg file formats because when the lines and curves of a dxf file are converted to an image and then exported from corel as a jpg, the lines do not remain smooth and complete. In other words, they become a series of standalone dots. This severely complicates working with the image in other steps. Currently, our standard is to use .tif files, and .bmp files also seem to work. However, neither seems to allow the exportation of images in excess of 10,000 pixels long.
Is there a different way we could be creating these images in order to get the type of accuracy we are looking for? DXF files have to be successfully made into image files that maintain the proportions set out in AutoCAD and which also are longer than 10,000 pixels.
For some reason, my X6 crashes whenever I attempt to export an image to JPEG. What settings (if any) need to be changed?
View 12 Replies View RelatedCorel X5 has a real crash problem when exporting any type of PDF save for X1/X3. Hence, the files are enormous and can't be sent by email or put on the web.
I am using Corel X5 Home and student ( with last sp update) on Windows 7, On a brand new HP Pavillion.
I have CorelDraw16 loaded on a W7Pro 64 bit system it has all the latest updates, I use it to run my Roland vinyl cutter. I am trying to convert some drawings to a DXF format so they can be cut on a CNC Plasma Table as well. It is my understanding CD16 by default saves DXF files as "Splines" you have several options for what years of Autocad to save them as.
The two tables I have tried to upload my DXF (R11, R13,AC 2005 or AC 2008) files are a Koiki Aronson and a Retro Plasma System. Neither one could open the files. Further research shows that some CNC machine controllers prefers "Polylines" over the "Splines".
I have found an add on utility (Leonard CNC Pro Software) that will export the DXF file as a Polyline, Polyarc, Line/Arc or a Line only. I have other options such as toolpath directions ect.
exporting my CorelDrawX6 files as a high quality jpg for large scale printing purposes. In X4 it was very easy - just export as usual to the highest quality cmyk jpg and open in Photo Paint... now when I export this way it takes forever to bring up the preview page and most of the time it ends up being blank. Sometimes even crashes. I have played with all options in the filter dialog menu that I can find but nothing works. Thought it might be a file size problem but never had that problem in X4 and anything under 200dpi will not be high enough quality.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm using Photoshop 5.5 and OS Lion. The Finder crashed while doing a Search. When I rebooted and opened Photoshop, every Photoshop file I had worked on that afternoon, plus two from the day before, was corrupt - nothing else was affected. Desktop preview icons and file sizes looked fine, but when I opened the files they were just bands of color and noise. All layers were gone and the size was incorrect. The jpgs I had saved from the psd files were also corrupt. Adobe blames Apple and Apple blames Adobe.

When I'm in photo shop doing photo editing, zooming in/out and doing lots of processor heavy maneuvers, my file once in a while becomes garbelled and corrupt. Why is this happening? Is there a way of preventing it? It's annoying having to start over epsecially when you have a PSD file with many layers.
I bought an HP Photosmart 320 and found out too late that there was a bug in the firmware that caused problems when writing to large memory cards. I have fixed the firmware but I have over 100 photos taken before the fix that I would like to salvage. I have found many services that will recover deleted files but none that fix corrupted ones.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using Gimp on very very large image files, my current image is 22000 x 23000. Gimp has 24GB of memory assigned in the Preferences menu (out of 32) and is fine while editing. However whenever I save the image as an XCF or PSD it corrupts. Occasionally with an XCF it will be recoverable but only one layer will recover. If it's exported as a PSD next time I try to open the image it says there are too many layers and is corrupt.
Is this a bug or is there a way I can preserve my large images with layers?
When importing some JPG files into Lightroom 5, it is claiming it cannot generate a preview, and then on import claiming they are corrupt. However, these files import with LR3, and open with Photoshop, Picasa, OSX Preview. The images and metadata all appear to be fine. Other photos from the same camera and shoot import correctly into LR 5.
And how do I get LR5 to correctly import these files?
Unfortunately I have found some corrupt CR2 files in my library (less than 1% so not general problem, files have been moved to my current machine from other source).
Inside Lightroom the photos (Library Grid view) are marked with an exclamation mark in the upper right corner.
Is there a way in Lightroom to search for all files which have such corruption problems? It is a rather large library to scroll through manually.
After apparently successfully capturing dv from Sony Cam (V1P) and Panasonic NVGS400 via firewire, I get message 'capture failed, corrupt files'. This happens with VS4 and VS5 both of which are installed on this computer. Settings are lower field first, dv1. All patches are installed.

View 6 Replies View RelatedThe camera files seem to be just fine, but my jpg files frequently get corrupt on export. They get these random horizontal lines through them, as well as big gray sections that begin part way through the file. If I re-export them, they usually come out all right. I would like to pin down the cause. I'll change the process priority from normal to realtime for now and see how it goes.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI opened my CorelDRAW X3 to find that the colours on screen look corrupted.
I use the "Optimised for professional output setting" in Colour Management which I never change.
Now, rather than looking fairly close to printed colours, they look very bright... too bright! (see screen shot)
I think that i have had this problem before and i ended up uninstalling and reinstalling. I would like to avoid this if i can as have have a lot of custom settings that i would have to re-do.
we are developing a Website where users can design individual labels and other print materials. Server-sided "PDFlib" creates the PDF files. We would like to import these PDF's into Corel X6.
File: [URL]........
Created with: PDFlib Personalization Server 8.0.4p2 (PHP5/Linux-X86_64)
PDF-Version: 1.6
Compression: FlateDecode/
Fonts: no fonts embedded
In the pdf are vector objects, graphics and text
I can open the PDF easily with Adobe Illustrator, Reader, Adobe Acrobat X Pro and other software.
But if I try to import the PDF into Corel: "Corrupt file"
how to fix a corrupted CDR file? I was working on a file of 159+ MB file when the power suddenly went off and I couldn't open the file when the power was back. I know the file could have been corrupted and I don't have a backup of the file also.
BTW, an interesting thing to note is that I tried to open the file is 7zip as if it were a zip file. To my surprise there was the file along with some xml files, but unfortunately I could not extract it as it showed up a message File is corrupt.
When I try to import a pdf file that I have scanned with my printer, corel X6 says either "file is corrupt" or something about not enough memory to perform the action. I have 2 different work stations with 2 separate printers (both the same brand and model) and have tried scanning and importing and get the same message from both now.
It always worked before. I can open the pdf document in Adobe and it is fine, so I don't think the file is corrupt, rather it is something in corel that is stopping it from importing. There are no updates outstanding for my computer.
