View 2 Repliesif I have a page of pics in a cdr, how can I export each one as its own stand alone tif? seems like I could do that at one time but now when I select an image and export it, it shows a weird dimensions size not like the image.
for example if I select a 5x7 image and export as a tif the dialog box shows it as 5.93 X 10.4 when the image is in fact 5x7.
we have just upgraded to x5 and now i have a big problem exporting tiff:
I work for print, not web. lets say i have a 50x50 cm layout. default dpi of document is set at 300. if i want to export that as a tif, it defaults at 300dpi in the export dialogue. until now, in x4, if i checked the maintain aspect ratio and just changed the dpi to lets say, 150dpi, it would only change the % of the size, not the actual size of the tif! now it changes somehow to double the size! but i want the same size to remain! also cm is selected, so no reason for it to keep the number of pixels!. i have to uncheck the maintain aspect and recheck it again to put the correct value in the size.
Also, i work with big documents, is there a way to stop previewing the jpegs in the export as jpg dialogue?
I create a new black document with rendering resolution set to 150dpi.
If I export the artwork as JPEG, and check "Maintain Size", I'll get the artwork in correct dimension and resolution. However, if I export as TIFF, the resolution by default is 72dpi, and if I increase the resolution to 150dpi, the dimension reduces accordingly, ending up with a smaller bitmap exported.
One page of my drawing just will not export as any type of raster/tiff/bitmap. All the subsequent pages will happily export, but one page just will not. The export option defaults to 2% and 240cm height and width.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a document with multiple pages. I need each page saved as a separate JPEG file.
I can do this by exporting each page individually, but this is painful - I have 29 pages to export.
Is there any way to export all pages in one step? I would like the JPEG files to be created with the page name as the file name.
When I want to search in connect, I select the folders I want to include in my search, that is fine. But when I close the progarm and restart it the selection is reset so nothing is selected except the X6 content on disc.
In X5, X6 it would keep the selected folders and they would remain selected and ready to go each time I started connect or CorelDraw. But in X6.1, it seems that each time I close the program it resets everything.
I select the folders I want to use in my search, favorites are locations I want to use in every search. But when I close down for the day and restart CorelDraw the next day and go to connect, this is what I get, all check boxes cleared.
is there a way to get it to keep my selections when I close the program? To me, at least, this is annoying to have to select the folders every time I start the program.

How to save as coreldraw file in .tiff format
View 6 Replies View Relatedif I create a new document, say A4, and then import a TIFF photo to that document, the photo appears much larger than my background A4 document. So, do I edit my photo and then export it as a TIFF again, or should I resize my background document from A4 to match the size of my photo before exporting? What I'm asking is that I don't want to lose the original size of my TIFF image, so when I export my image will CD save the TIFF image in it's original size or resize it to that of my created A4 document?
View 1 Replies View Related1. How to fit properly A4 size Rectangle in the document? because after finish work when I converted the the cdr file to TIFF, it shows the image is not fit in the document and also the print does not comes out properly.
2. An other problem I have is, when I converted cdr file to TIFF and even JPEG, color of drop shadows which was black, is appears as a white color....what should I do? how to change the color setting?
I am having issues with the batch process function with X6 photopaint.
that is a simple conversion of 20 or more images from TIF to CPT. i get the message
"Images failed to load. Some formats are not supported for batch processing". I have never encountered this problem before.
This was exported to tif and sent to the printer, the glow is a white outer glow.
As I usually do I exported the whole thing to a TIF and low and behold black lines in the print.
This was the bullet proof way of getting what you saw on the screen to hadcopy but sadly no more.
Can this be addressed in SP1, as it puts a serious hole in all the signies bag of tricks for that matter any body who wants to output special EFX from Corel.
I'm using Coral Draw Graphics suite X5 built 15.2.0.686 SP4 (all available updates installed) This is a bug I have detected.
Start a new CorelDrawFile and import a .jpg, after putting e.q. some arrows on it I choose "export" and exports a .tif - file to a folder.
For further manipulations I also save the .cdr - file to another Folder. Insofar everything works well. But if I reopen the .cdr-file and do my manipulations at my picture and then I try to export the .tif - file to the folder, where the before exported .tif is situated, corel well notice that the old file exists and asks for replacement,BUT instead of exporting the .tif - file the .cdr file will be saved. Got this failure reproducible by doing it the same way.
not till I exported a other file type .jpg or any other and switches back to .tif, exporting the .tif file works and the old .tif - file will be replaced by the new one.
I came across an interesting problem. I was using PaintShop Pro to import a RAW image from my camera, then export as a TIF for use in CDGS X6. When I tried to import the file into CorelDRAW or PhotoPaint, I got an error message:
(X) Invalid compress data
I could see a thumbnail image in WIndows, and I could open the file in IrfanView. Re-saving the TIF from IrfanView allowed me to open it in CDGS.
I thought the problem was with PSP, and reported the issue to the product team, but then I tried exporting the same TIF from PhotoPaint (from the same RAW image file), and when I tried to re-open the TIF, I got the same error. So PhotoPaint could not read the TIF exported from... PhotoPaint!
Smaller files don't seem to be an issue, but my camera files are in the neighborhood of 5000x3000 pixels, and the TIF files weigh in at around 50MB.
Will Corel6 (or later) ever be able to export to a web page directly since the HTLM export doesn't work (drops links). The Corel Web program, or what ever its name is, was a joke. Its amazing that Corel work puts its name on a program that you could not open a CorelDraw file.
My current work around is to export to a JPG and then import that into dreamweaver and add the links there, then post. A pain but it works.
I have this script that basically makes a shape expand by adding an outline, conveting the outline to an object, and then welding the whole thing together.
I have the script set to execute with hotkey ctrl+numpad+
The odd thing is, when I run it once, it seems to work fine and only one object is left, but when I hold down ctrl and press numoad+ over and over again, it seems to produce a new copy of the object everytime.
I'm not sure why this is happening, but I need to get it to stop.
Sub Expand() EventsEnabled = False 'Dim vars Dim c1 As New Color Dim OrigSelection As ShapeRange Dim OrigColor As Shape Dim width1 As Double Dim height1 As Double Dim minSize As Double Dim Thickness As Double 'copy color of current selection Set OrigColor = ActiveShape If OrigColor Is Nothing Then Exit Sub If OrigColor.Fill.Type <> cdrUniformFill Then Exit Sub c1.CopyAssign OrigColor.Fill.UniformColor 'get thickness to increase by Set OrigSelection = ActiveSelectionRange OrigSelection.GetSize width1, height1 If width1 <= height1 Then minSize = width1 If width1 > height1 Then minSize = height1 Thickness = minSize * 0.035 OrigSelection.SetOutlineProperties Color:=CreateRGBColor(0, 0, 0) OrigSelection.SetOutlineProperties Thickness, ScaleWithShape:=True 'weld Dim s1 As Shape Set s1 = OrigSelection(1).Outline.ConvertToObject Dim s2 As Shape Set s2 = s1.Weld(OrigSelection(1), True, True) 'auto reduce 's2.Curve.Nodes.All.AutoReduce 0.001 's2.Fill.ApplyUniformFill c1 'delete remnants OrigSelection.Delete s1.Delete 'OrigColor.Delete EventsEnabled = TrueEnd Sub
why (sometimes) when I export text or graphics as .eps files to my cutter it cuts the same outline up to four to five times and ends up cutting right through the backing paper. I have been using postcut with various corel editions since 1997 with no problems until recently. It also cuts random lines through lines of text which is such an expensive pain in the ass.
I started to use the production manager in flexi sign to cut my designs and same thing happens, except for the random lines but it will make up to five cuts on some objects. All text and graphics are exported the same. Has something in corel newer versions changed in relation to this?
i´m using CRD since X3 so I think i´m quite experienced with all the crashes and uncompatibilities but now I have a problem which I can´t solve.
I made a graphic project which is quite large (2,6m x 2,0m @ 300dpi) and including raster grahics. The CDR file itself has about 400MB. When I tried to export this graphic to the png or jpg at the current size Corel X5 always crashes. I tried almost everything on many computers but always the same problem.
It looks like the project is too large for export. At this moment I desperately need to export the file to jpg or png at full resolution. Maybe X6 is more stable when exports or I have to simplify the project somehow but...
FILE IS UPLOADED here and I need to have it 2,6m x 2,0m: [URL]
Client supplies me with word document, I make a PDF from it and then from Acrobat create an ESP file, this is done as an eps file is much less likely to cause probs then importing a PDF, I then print from the Coreldraw file with the EPS pages no problem. The problem then arises when I have to then create a PDF file from COreldraw for the client - any EPS files in the document do not appear in the PDF - so there lies the problem.I cannot alway directly import a PDF file (often screws up) even if I save fonts as outlines. Saving as EPS overcomes most/all issues.

Do you have any clue about that?
After upgrade from X4 to X6.4 noticed that AI export filter in version 7 is not present. It is very important - only ver 7 is readable for my software for laser machine and I really need this funkction. Maybe detail, but without this small point big X6.4 is like garbage
View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to export a page I am creating as a jpg. Right now, I have one object on the page, and its a .jpg object. When I export from the File menu, only the jpg is exported. How can I export the entire page? If I add text to the object (which will be a banner). it only exports the jpg, and and the exact space required by the text, not the entire page. I have been unable to find setting for exporting selected objects or entire page. I have another less powerful drawing program that gives options to export object, selection, or page.
If I create a box, and place it on the document, the whole thing will export, but if the pox is larger than the page, then entire box is still exported, where I only want the page dimensions exported so I can eventually arrange objects ont he box that will overlap the page dimesnsions, but only the page area should be exported as a jpg.
Should I be doing this as a powerclip? I haven't used that feature yet in CD. Then export the powerclip object?
I would like to export my Corel Draw X6 file to a .pdf., but is there an option that will make it non-vectored? I'm a sign designer and often need to create multi-paged .pdf's to submit to architects and customers. But in giving the customer the .pdf I've now basically given away all of my vectored art. Anyone with Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator can simply import the .pdf and now they have all of my artwork in vectored form. Obviously I can export single pages as .jpg to solve this issue, but for multiple pages, and for contractual reasons I'm required to submit .pdf's to the architect or customer.
Is there a way/setting to export to .pdf, and have it be a simple, rastor-like image, that contains no vectored information?
I've seen PDF files with layers (the same as it comes in Corel Draw - you can hide or show something etc.). Probably they were created with AutoCAD.
Is it possible to export/save CorelDraw file to such PDF with layers? For example, if I got 3 layers in my CDR then I'd like to have them in my PDF.
I tried option PUBLISH TO PDF but I didn't find (or I wasn't careful enough) any option to do this.
we use CorelDraw for all our design and day-to-day artwork requirements, and for preparing artwork for our laser engraving machinery. We have recently upgraded to X6 and have found problems exporting to .plt.
First we noticed that a page border surrounding artwork, where we use the page border for positioning, and the art to engrave, the page border would export, but anything inside it would not. So we tried all the obvious workarounds - grouping etc, but found that the only way to get it all across was to combine the artwork.
Now we are noting that anywhere there is artwork surrounded by a closed curve - eg a rectangular block with a phone number reversed out - the art that is surrounded (eg the phone number) will not export if un-grouped or grouped, it has to be combined into one object.
I tried almost all the options to export a color coreldraw to a grayscale image, in EPS.
With the X4 I have, I did not succed, the eps image is never grayscale, but stays colored.

CorelDraw X5 v. 15.2.0.686 Hot Fix 4 - Windows 7-64
I have just upgraded to X6 from X5.
When I export a PDF the dialog window no longer opens and offers me the choices for crop marks, bleeds and so on!
This all use to work fine in X5.
How can I get this to start working properly again.
For some strange reason I no longer have the option to export to ai. I am not running 6.4 (latest update) and was hoping that when this update was installed that it would have fixed the issue, but it did not.
