Recently upgraded from X3 to X6. Just discovered there is no place on the property bar to change the size by entering a percent of original size. It was located next to the actual size in inches.
I did Ctrl-J and tried to find it in the customization, but came up empty. Surely this feature still exists?
I just upgraded to x5 and can no longer export a file as an eps and hold the custom page size. In x4 I could export as an eps to a custom page size of 2.5" by 2.5". Every time I try to upload the file it is seeing it as an 8.5' by 11". I am selecting page size in advanced tab
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have upgraded to X5 from X3 , and now when i Export EPS files, they are MASSIVE, I work in a company that does signs, and car vinyls and other graphics /vector related work, and It is important that i use EPS as file format for out " plotter" but a size of 800 mb and 2,2 GB now when it used to be 10 mb is insane.
I also use POSTSCRIPT 2, as 3, makes the file over 2 GBs.
When I export or publish to pdf from CorelDraw X6 the document size changes. If lets say i export an A4 page and then inport it again the size of the page has changed from 210x297 to 209,903 x 296,686 !
View 4 Replies View Relatedwe have just upgraded to x5 and now i have a big problem exporting tiff:
I work for print, not web. lets say i have a 50x50 cm layout. default dpi of document is set at 300. if i want to export that as a tif, it defaults at 300dpi in the export dialogue. until now, in x4, if i checked the maintain aspect ratio and just changed the dpi to lets say, 150dpi, it would only change the % of the size, not the actual size of the tif! now it changes somehow to double the size! but i want the same size to remain! also cm is selected, so no reason for it to keep the number of pixels!. i have to uncheck the maintain aspect and recheck it again to put the correct value in the size.
Also, i work with big documents, is there a way to stop previewing the jpegs in the export as jpg dialogue?
I prepared my drawing for size A0 (841 mm / 1189 mm) but when exporting it in Jpg or Tiff format for printing, it happens something very strange. In the dialogue window it doesn't allow a bigger size than A1 (594 mm / 841 mm). It shows me 74 % for width and height parameters. I try to change it to 100 % but it turns back to 74. Now I cannot print it because I need the bigger size.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am creating my files in 5x. The final product will be a printed 8.5 x 11 calendar. The company requires 300dpi resolution, and a bleed size of 1/16".
Product 8.5" x 11" Calendar
Final Size 8.5" x 11"
Bleed Size 1/16"
Resolution to Submit 8.627" x 11.127", 2588 x 3338 px, 300dpi
My page is letter size. The image is a bitmap composed of numerous photographs and vector graphics.
I have saved them to a CMYK BITMAP 300DPI.In Corel the image reads as 11.125" x 8.625"
When I export to a pdf or jpg the image size changes to 11.293" x 8.796" which will not work for the printer. It sets the design elements outside the 'safe zone'.
I have PDF map created with latest PDF Creator. Originally it was made with GIS software Geo Media Professional (v6). Document looks good while previewing with Reader. When importing to Photoshop CS5 - looks good to (but raster). But when I'm trying to import it to CorelDrawX5 strange things happens:
Import takes a lot of time After hitting [Enter] file (group name.pdf) origin is about 5000mm;6400mm (width 45720mm, height 45720mm) - so it is definitely far from any page and much much bigger than original - in this case original was 2500mm width and 1067mm height landscape prepared to print on HP DesignJet 800PS 42'' roll hitting F4 - max range warning appears. I was trying to move group somewhere in visible work area using X,Y - strange results - negative position appears after hitting Enter
In CorelDRAW X4 I didn't get such "feature". There is no additional font embedded in document (ARIAL, HELVETICA).

I need to make the gradient fill look just like the original. I already created the vector (attached)
(Next to the blue arrow it is actually a green gradient.)
I am adjusting colours on photos with Photo Paint X6. When I try to save with original settings the OK button in the "Export to JPEG" dialog box is grayed out. There are no error messages or hints on the screen as to what to do to proceed with the save JPEG with orginal settings.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm using Corel Draw 12 and on some of my computers, if I resize or flip an image the original image remains on screen as well as the resized or flipped version. On other computers it doesn't happen.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWill Corel6 (or later) ever be able to export to a web page directly since the HTLM export doesn't work (drops links). The Corel Web program, or what ever its name is, was a joke. Its amazing that Corel work puts its name on a program that you could not open a CorelDraw file.
My current work around is to export to a JPG and then import that into dreamweaver and add the links there, then post. A pain but it works.
Export is weird, maintain size is checked but it dose not give the proper size. My page size is 922x1344, but the image exported is half that size.
View 14 Replies View Relatedwhy (sometimes) when I export text or graphics as .eps files to my cutter it cuts the same outline up to four to five times and ends up cutting right through the backing paper. I have been using postcut with various corel editions since 1997 with no problems until recently. It also cuts random lines through lines of text which is such an expensive pain in the ass.
I started to use the production manager in flexi sign to cut my designs and same thing happens, except for the random lines but it will make up to five cuts on some objects. All text and graphics are exported the same. Has something in corel newer versions changed in relation to this?
i´m using CRD since X3 so I think i´m quite experienced with all the crashes and uncompatibilities but now I have a problem which I can´t solve.
I made a graphic project which is quite large (2,6m x 2,0m @ 300dpi) and including raster grahics. The CDR file itself has about 400MB. When I tried to export this graphic to the png or jpg at the current size Corel X5 always crashes. I tried almost everything on many computers but always the same problem.
It looks like the project is too large for export. At this moment I desperately need to export the file to jpg or png at full resolution. Maybe X6 is more stable when exports or I have to simplify the project somehow but...
FILE IS UPLOADED here and I need to have it 2,6m x 2,0m: [URL]
I have a 900 x 500 px image in Adobe Illustrator, which overlaps a bit the canvas on the left side.
When I open this file with Corel, it adjusts my graphics so that it's centered on the screen. The AI file is centered on another point. Also, the canvas Corel creates is A4 sized. I always have to resize the canvas and then manually adjust the position of my graphics.
Question: How can I save an AI file so that when I open it at Corel, the position and size of the canvas will be exactly the same?
How on earth do you export bitmaps cropped to the size of the canvas? This seems like the simplest functionality ever but i can't get it to work. For example, I am designing an advert for use online. It needs to be 600px wide x 150px high. I may want to use a background image or a photo that when placed goes beyond the edge of the canvas. Logic dictates i would only want to export the canvas with a web image (otherwise why would i have set an exact number of pixels.) However, Corel insists on exporting everything on the canvas and desktop. Surely it should allow us to choose the bounding area of the exported bitmap.
Just to clarify what I mean, i've included a screen shot showing and example original graphic and the export result. I'm sure there must be an easy way to do this. If it's one like this i can crop it easily, but sometimes a print customer will ask me to send them, for example, a 32pp booklet we have designed for them with each page as a JPG and to crop each one manually is a right pain.
Client supplies me with word document, I make a PDF from it and then from Acrobat create an ESP file, this is done as an eps file is much less likely to cause probs then importing a PDF, I then print from the Coreldraw file with the EPS pages no problem. The problem then arises when I have to then create a PDF file from COreldraw for the client - any EPS files in the document do not appear in the PDF - so there lies the problem.I cannot alway directly import a PDF file (often screws up) even if I save fonts as outlines. Saving as EPS overcomes most/all issues.

Do you have any clue about that?
After upgrade from X4 to X6.4 noticed that AI export filter in version 7 is not present. It is very important - only ver 7 is readable for my software for laser machine and I really need this funkction. Maybe detail, but without this small point big X6.4 is like garbage

View 3 Replies View RelatedI would like to export a page I am creating as a jpg. Right now, I have one object on the page, and its a .jpg object. When I export from the File menu, only the jpg is exported. How can I export the entire page? If I add text to the object (which will be a banner). it only exports the jpg, and and the exact space required by the text, not the entire page. I have been unable to find setting for exporting selected objects or entire page. I have another less powerful drawing program that gives options to export object, selection, or page.
If I create a box, and place it on the document, the whole thing will export, but if the pox is larger than the page, then entire box is still exported, where I only want the page dimensions exported so I can eventually arrange objects ont he box that will overlap the page dimesnsions, but only the page area should be exported as a jpg.
Should I be doing this as a powerclip? I haven't used that feature yet in CD. Then export the powerclip object?
I would like to export my Corel Draw X6 file to a .pdf., but is there an option that will make it non-vectored? I'm a sign designer and often need to create multi-paged .pdf's to submit to architects and customers. But in giving the customer the .pdf I've now basically given away all of my vectored art. Anyone with Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator can simply import the .pdf and now they have all of my artwork in vectored form. Obviously I can export single pages as .jpg to solve this issue, but for multiple pages, and for contractual reasons I'm required to submit .pdf's to the architect or customer.
Is there a way/setting to export to .pdf, and have it be a simple, rastor-like image, that contains no vectored information?
I've seen PDF files with layers (the same as it comes in Corel Draw - you can hide or show something etc.). Probably they were created with AutoCAD.
Is it possible to export/save CorelDraw file to such PDF with layers? For example, if I got 3 layers in my CDR then I'd like to have them in my PDF.
I tried option PUBLISH TO PDF but I didn't find (or I wasn't careful enough) any option to do this.
we use CorelDraw for all our design and day-to-day artwork requirements, and for preparing artwork for our laser engraving machinery. We have recently upgraded to X6 and have found problems exporting to .plt.
First we noticed that a page border surrounding artwork, where we use the page border for positioning, and the art to engrave, the page border would export, but anything inside it would not. So we tried all the obvious workarounds - grouping etc, but found that the only way to get it all across was to combine the artwork.
Now we are noting that anywhere there is artwork surrounded by a closed curve - eg a rectangular block with a phone number reversed out - the art that is surrounded (eg the phone number) will not export if un-grouped or grouped, it has to be combined into one object.
I tried almost all the options to export a color coreldraw to a grayscale image, in EPS.
With the X4 I have, I did not succed, the eps image is never grayscale, but stays colored.
