CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X3 :: Font Size Not Accurate While Doing Stencils
Jun 20, 2013I was wondering on font size, in the font list size I put in 1.5 inches in the object size box its 1.146. I was doing stencils for an officer (Army) to mark his clothing for a school and he called me on it. Is there someway to change to actual size or do i need to just deal with it .

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: Coordinates Not Accurate When Using Pixel Units?
Nov 5, 2012When using "pixel units" the position and sizes are reported rounded to the nearest pixel.
The two squares below are both reported as 2 pixels square. One is actually 1.5 pixels square:
can the pixel coordinates and sizes not be rounded?
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Default Fill And Outline Colors Automatically Set To Last Colors Used
Apr 3, 2012CDX5: Whatever color I select for fill or outline is now set as the default color for fills and outlines without expressly setting it as such. Until now when I left or right click a color with nothing selected it allowed me to set it as a default fill or outline color for graphics, artistic text, or paragraph text. It does not do that now.
Is this a "feature" that's been added that I somehow enabled? In any event, how do I turn it off?
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Missing Text Or Graphics When Printing?
May 9, 2011X5 Recently have begun missing parts of print out. Tried to duplicate but appears completely random.
Output to both Full colour laser and Wide Format printers will miss either text or part of objects. Today printed the text but not the text effects. Initially closed and reopened, rebooted, However this has become a now daily feature so regardless tried reprint from the same screen so next print has everything included.
Very costly and time consuming - print preview shows all correct but output is not the same.
Running Win 7 64bit 8GB Ram

I have Outsourced these Business cards to the same company. See attached.
One is more vibrant than the other, which were done at different dates.
The process consist of Publishing to PDF and noticing after we received them, both came out Different.
Soon after I opened both PDFs and they were different on my end.
What can I do to maximize color and make them vibrant like the one on the left?

Oct 18, 2012The kind of graphics I do are used for a web site and also for printing with a Roland Versacamm wide format printer. My question is for graphics for a web site do you design in RGB colors and when you design for printing are you using CMYK colors.
Or are you using one type of color over the other for both purposes?

Apr 23, 2012In X6 it appears the option that X4 had (is not available) was I could right click the arrow at the top of one of my Palettes and go down to (Palette) and then there, their was an option for find color. X6 doesn't have that. Also the eye dropper is shaded so I can not use it.

I went to print>misc.>proofing options: but I only see full color proof and no addition level setting.

When i open a file, made in X3 using one of these spot colors, with my new X5, the spot color will be replaced with turquoise. I have no problems opening x3 files in x5 when i used a color from the CMYK palette.
Is there a solution to retrieve my spot colors?

Aug 14, 2013when I select "all objects" via the menu and remove the setting "scale with object" from the object properties the color changes from CMYK to RGB. I cannot even redo. All actions are redone but not the color. The primary color of the document is CMYK. This happens only to the borders and not to the fillings.

A color shows up different in version 14 [ that is the correct display ] . it is incorrectly being showed in version 12. i've put up screenshots of both versions. CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: Pantone Colors When Saving Down To X4
Aug 31, 2012I just upgraded to X6 from X4 about 2 weeks ago. I do all of my work in spot colors since i'm in the screen printing industry. Since not all of my clients have upgraded I still have to save down my work to X4. This is where the problem begins. When its been saved down it's creating a LOT of extra colors in the print separations. It's a lot of the same color. For instance I used black, Pantone Rhodamine Red and Pantone Yellow...when I save it down to X4 it's giving me 2 blacks, 3 Rhodamine Reds and about 10 Pantone Yellows. When I export to pdf and open in Corel X4 it doesn't do this...only when I save down. I don't want to have to export and open each time I have to send a file.

Jun 3, 2013My problem is when I design something on CorelDraw X6, the CMYK colors look good but when I print the project at Walmart, the colors are richer/darker looking and or some of the colors are off. The Walmart I send my files to uses an Epson 7890 printer and Kodak Color Edge EKTA photo paper.
I've calibrated my monitor so I don't believe that is the issue. The color profile it's set to now is sRGB and the preset is North American General Purpose. I've also called Epson and they told me to call Kodak which I did and the Kodak person told me to contact the Corel People. I figured I'd tap into the CorelDraw Forum collective wisdom first before trying support.

May 11, 2011I have a design on one layer, and a boundary line around the design on another layer. visually on the screen they both line up . However, when I print the images, they do not line up - they are significantly out of line with each other. It is as if they have been printed to different paper settings., for example the registration marks are not line up.

Jan 12, 2012I have just had to install Windows 7 64 bit and now find that when I print to my HP Business Inkjet 2300, I can only print 1 page. If I set the quantity to 5, I still get just 1 page. HP won't be updating the driver as they say that the printer is obsolete although they are still selling it.

Jun 18, 2012Have created a customised label equivalent to Avery L6008 - very small labels 7 across and 27 labels down. Prints perfectly. However, I would like to be able to vary the design and print different labels across the 7 columns. Either at the creation stage - use the template and select which column is utilised or at the printing stage restrict the printing to 1 column only. Does this make sense?
These are for some Geocaching buddies who want their own name on the labels and a full sheet of 189 labels is too much.

May 7, 2011I'm using Corel X3 graphics. Windows Vista. HP officejet pro 8500a premium printer. I'm trying to print a file I used to print all the time. It's a map with bitmaps. I must have accidently changed some settings in CDX3 because now it prints too large--it won't even fit on the page. I've tried changing every print setting that relates...Fit to Page, etc. I also restarted corel while holding down the F8 key to reset the factory defaults. I've re-installed Corel 3 times! I'm at my wits end.

Nov 14, 2013I am using X4 for use in my dye sublimation business. I have an image that was provided to me from my customer. I created a template in Coreldraw, sized the photo to fit and power clipped it into the template. I than created the text the customer wanted and placed it over the image. I than grouped everything together and printed the image. When it prints, the only thing that prints is the template border and the text. I than took the same template and text and power clipped a completely different image into it. Sent it to the printer and voila, no problem.
The image the customer sent to me is a .jpg image. I don't understand why it won't print. Is it possible there is some sort of code or something within the image that is preventing it from printing ? It sounds far fetched to me but I had to ask. If I export the completed image as seen on the screen to a Jpeg and view it on the screen, the powerclipped background is there.

system: windows 7, coreldraw x6
problem: once imported into CorelDraw, in the print dialog the pre flight will analyze the document and it takes forever; if it does not crash, once completed every other function takes forever to edit (Ex: to deselect a spot color will take 15-20 seconds to implement)- then when printing, errors occur.
1) previous versions of Coreldraw does not have this problem
2) this happens with all printers, even pdf print driver.
3) workaround that works: save the channeled eps file as a Photoshop file.

Aug 28, 2013I do not understand the process to print my document on A3 printer.My document is a small A5 booklet of 8 pages . My layout options are as follows. Map folds Side 105 x 148.5 Binding left.CorelDraw on my desk I have a document giving the property the following 210 x 297 min (A4). When I send my document to print on A3 printer (HP 2800 pcl), I end up with four pages on the first fold of my A3 though logically I should end up with two pages per folds.So what is the right method for this type of work?
