I can view a thumbnail of the file, but the file will not open.
I created it in Corel 11, and tried to open it also in 13 and X5, but I get a message Error Reading
In Corel draw, I click file, open, and the location is not the folder I want. I have created shortcuts. How to change this.

A An EPS file is a Postscript (PS) file and meant to be printed to a PostScript printer. When printed to a non-PostScript printer, it will only print the file header which is a low resolution preview of the actual file. If you wish to print the actual contents of the EPS file to a non-PostScript printer, import the file it into CorelDRAW using the PostScript Interpreted (PS, PRN, EPS) filter.So, apparently it can be done, but when I try to import this file into my Coreldraw, there is no option to import with that type of filter that I can see. Is this something that is missing in v12? If v12 wont do it, is there any other way to import this file without it coming in all pixellated? Or is there another way to convert the file into a format such as .plt?

It seems it cant be opened or something like that. But anyway it still sizes 2,94MB, so I am hopeful to recover it.It was a lot of work for me wasted. I tried to convert it to x5 format in URL....
When I want to flick from one file to another in X5 draw the tab to bring up the second file is hidden behind the open one, is there a way or a short cut to save me having to minimise my open file to see the tab to maximise the second?

I can't see where the problem come from. When I re-open the version X3 file with Corel X5, the file look fine and everything is there.The supplier keep saying that the problem is on my side. I asked him to upgrade to X5 as I think it should solve the problem.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm running Coreldra X4 on a windows vista machine. Lately I started having a courious problem with Coreldraw x4. When a try to open a cdr file before opening CDX4 i get an error message saying that the file dos not exist. after this CDX4 crashes.
On the other side if I open CDX4 and then try to open the very same cdr file everything is ok.
I have just discovered after installing CorelDraw X6 update 3, that opening previous files containing cloned objects results in:
I should add that this is far more than a minor irritation. We have thousands of files with cloned objects which need to be accessed and modified over the next few weeks - it will be devastating if there is no quick workaround or fix.
Every time when i open a .cdr, coreldraw open the file in same file that i have been open before.

Existing cdr files are taking up to an hour to load. I've deinstalled and reinstalled, to no avail.
Any project I save cannot be opened later. When I try to open .cdr or template file I get the message ''CorelDRAW X6 (64-Bit) has stopped working. A problem...etc...please close the program''
I noticed that this first happened in projects that had text on them but now I can't open any .cdr file.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
Since installing the X6 Trial I have lost the images for my cdr and cpt thumbnails. I haven't decided to upgrade yet but would like my thumbnails images back in the meantime. Do I do a repair with X5?

I used Apple Mail 5.2 to attach the jpeg file but my problem is the client cannot open the file. It just turns out blank with a little cross. I cannot figure out what is the problem during the export process. I have no problem at all with X3.

Problem is this time it happened with a file I spend a long time working on. I tried unzipping and opening riffData.cdr with no luck. I've uploaded the file. View 2 Replies View Relatedin Corel Draw X4, we can use the scrapbook docker to see thumbnail of locals files, but when this files are on a network share or if this network share is mapped to local drive, thumbnails does not show up. But when I use File/Open to this network share or mapped drive, thumbnails are ok.
I also heard that in X5 scrapbook is depreciated, is there an alternative?
Draw freezes upon file 'Open'. Status bar locks indefinitely.
Solution Attempts:
1. PRESSED F8!!!!
2. deleted all macros
3. rebooted
4. cleaned out temp files
5. checked for bad fonts
If I double click a CDR file and CorelDraw X5 is not open, it will open and the file will be loaded. But once Draw is open and minimized and I double click a second file from Explorer or on my desktop, the second file refuses to open in Draw. I have to Restore Draw and either use the file open command or double click the file again from Explorer once it's restored.

View 8 Replies View Relatedwe upgraded to CorelDraw X6. Since yesterday we have been struggling with thumbnail previews under Windows 7 - the feature we loved and got well accustomed to. Earlier we have used X3 version with this preview feature, but with X6 it seems no longer to work.
We have checked the related windows directories as well as the CorelDraw Shell Extension - all things (dlls and exes) look just fine in their places and installed but still we cannot get the thumbnail preview work.
I have saved a file in corel. on the second day, when i want to open the file,is writting: "File Copy Error" TEMP Drive or Output Drive may be Full" Is there any posibility to recover the file. The recovery toolbox can not recover the file.

About a month and a half ago, after a microsoft update, I cannot open .cdr files from the file/open list. When going to file/open, the programs hangs up, cannot even use "cancel", and have to go to Windows Task Manager to shut down the program. All is well until I try to open a file from file/open.
I can import .eps, and everything else seems fine.My work around is to open from My Documents --Which works fine. Just is a silly little aggravation.
I have uninstalled, reinstalled, repaired, etc....all the normal fixes.
