View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm in paint module (desktop tool) then i want to use autopaint combined with tracking. The problem i only can get single tracker inside the stabilize module. Am i really limited to use only 1 tracker ?
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I enter Stabilize/Track through the Axis editor I arrive at a blank viewer screen with no footage. I get tracker target boxes, but no footage to track. Stabilizer/Stabilize works fine, but the tracker does not seem to work.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIm trying to use the add point tracking feature in the MK/Gmask in action. Is this a bug or has the software changed? I used to be able to add a tracking point, scrub media to where the point falls off, select add, hold down control and move the tracker to a new point and it would work fine.
Today no matter what I do when the tracker jumps to the second selected position it just jumps off screen. It even does this if I dont use the add function and stop a track, move to new location and hit snap? Whats up with that?
It is possible to duplicate/copy a clip/gap effect on the timeline? Or do you *have to* drag/copy it to a Source Area first? In this particular case, I've got 3 gap effects that I'm essentially using as adjustment layers...for some reason I thought I could hold down F & drag them somewhere else in the timeline which would create a duplicate and drag them to wherever I dropped them. But maybe not...? In the meantime, I just copied them to a Source Area, and then dropped them back on the timeline where I needed them, which worked just fine.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to preserve labels on gap effects that are dragged into the timeline from the media browser, or copied and pasted from clip to clip, so that they don't revert back to "Gap" when pasted?
View 4 Replies View RelatedHow about implementing precomps (like AfterEffects)? You comp on a source clip. Every time you modify the precomp it will be reflected in all the places/edits it is used.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I take a clip from Premeire Pro with no effects on it, replace with after effects composition --> then try to apply the 3D camera tracker in After Effects (CS6) I get the error message "3D Camera Tracker analysis doesn't work with Collapse Transformations (514) ( 25 :: 101 ).
View 2 Replies View RelatedYesterday while playing with Smoke 2013 I activated the audio desk whiles in the standard player. It showed up as expected on the left side of the player BUT the Audio FX desk we used to see in the classic interface showed up on the right side of the player. That was awesome but today I activated the audio desk and only the mixer on the left showed up.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAt the moment I am in action building a composite. We I am viewing the entire comp via the default camera, I can see all the effects applied to the comp, but when I switch to perspective view. All the effects are gone.
Is there a way to see the effects why in perspective view?
Is it possible to render timeline effects in the background on a single machine given the right licenses? I'm finding that CFX in particular take a lot of time to render.
Is there anyway to speed things up? Do multiple graphics cards work? I have a Quadro 4000 and some kind of ATi card installed (in a mac pro) - does it make a difference which one the monitor is plugged into?
I have a video clip of a train moving across the tracks. The camera also pans to follow the path of the train. I want text to sit on the top of the first car of the train as its travels from left to right.
I used Track Camera and then parented text to the Null object.
The problem is that the text has to adjust in size and perspective as the train moves along.
I have tried keyframing these options but the result appears jittery and jumpy as if the text is dancing on top of the train.
The text should be the exact width of the first train.
Tiny in the distance and then large as it approaches cameras.
Also, there appears to be a bug with the text object not displaying the font correctly. I have tried many fonts and each appears inconsistent. I have attached a screen grab.
The red text is how the characters should appear given my font choice. The red is NOT tied to the null object; its just a text layer. The black font is tied to the null object. You can obserce that certain characters are bold and others not. Overall this looks nothing like the font is supposed to appear.
Please note that both titles are the same font. password for the vimeo clip is : train-tracker
I have a 3D Camera Tracker and 3D Text that I would like to have a shadow for in AE CC (CS6)
I created a light and a white solid. I oriented the white solid to the plane of the footage and positioned the light such that I see the shadow cast on the white solid layer. However, I can still see the white solid (obviously, I only want to see the shadow) If I change the white solid layer settings to "Accept Shadows" from "On" to "Only" the shadow disappears along with the opacity of the solid.
I'm using the Ray-traced 3D renderer.
So I've been trying to follow some 3d camera tracker tutorials to the tee but I keep having the same problem. When I go to render the video instead of the character staying in a fixed spot it starts to bounce all over the video.
This is the main tutorial I've been trying to follow; [URL]
My error rate is only .73.
I don't know how to phrase it correctly but the 3d camera tracker inside of After Effects will only apply key frames to the null object. This causes the footage to rotate around itself.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI use After Effects CC and am having trouble with the 3D camera tracker. Here is a link to the video where you can see my problem.URL....
The video works fine, until at the end, when the camera moves through the text. When it moves through the text, it starts to "shake" the text. When the camera moves back away from the text, it stops shaking again.
I am working on a project where I am incorporating 3d text into a shot with an onscreen talent speaking to the camera. I am trying to get the text to only move when the camera moves such as a pan or a hand held shake, making it look like it's part of the environment. It will track with the camera and looks great until my talent /subject moves, then the text moves with the subject. What am I doing wrong in my tracking? I have looked up tutorials and articles searching for others who have had this problem and cannot find anything that replicates my issue. Every tutorial I've seen does the same thing with fantastic results but I can never get the text to not move with my subject.

1. If I have a layered Photoshop file or png with an alpha channel (a still frame lower third), I see that I can import it as a multi layered clip, but what is the best way to have it in the sequence to show up properly?
2. If I have a QuickTime in animation format or Pro Res4444 format with an embedded alpha, how can I import that file to show and cut it on a top layer to animate above my video?
Can Smoke support the OFX architecture?
View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes Smoke have selection functionality similar to that of Combustion? As an example, you might want to selectively blur part of an image. In Combustion, you would draw a selection and then apply an operator above the selection to achieve this. I don't see a similar selection tool function in Smoke, but I imagine you could achieve the same effect by duplicating a layer and using a Gmask via the Wipe timeline FX.does Smoke not have a selection tool similar to Combustion?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've made a fabulous Smoke Text effect that I then insert the .mov file into Final Cut Pro. The smoke effect I downloaded from the tutorial has a black background and therefore when rendered out, it's a basic white text against a black background. Once in FCP, I have to turn the file's opacity down in order for it to layer over a video file and not black out what I layer over it.
How can I make the file transparent? A simple toggle of the transparency grid isn't going to do it. I need to make or find a video of smoke that is transparent?

OS X 10.8.5

Is that normal?
I have RED footage which I exported as EXR. When I import them back in, they look exactly like the RED footage. But when I import the EXR in Fusion, export it back out, and then import that EXR into Smoke, it looks brighter, although I didn't change anything in Fusion. (when I compare the EXR from Smoke and the EXR from fusion in my finder on my desktop, they look exactly the same). So what is Smoke doing with the "foreign" exr on import?I was also playing with the LUT settings. I get a result which is close, but I need to be exact.
