Had the Layers window open adding a layer. I don't know what I did, but now All that is showing is a 1/4 inch window along the top that shows All 57 layers displayed of 57 layer. What can I do to restore the full layers window.
I have a customize form to use in AutoCAD. If I minimize the form, I can not see it anymore in the AutoCAD application tray. I want to minimize my form and later restore it after editing in .dwg file.
I know this is a very ignorant question, but when I minimize a window (that contains, say, 1 particular image that I'm putting on the "back burner" for a moment while I work on another image), there is no apparent way to re-open it.
Don't know if it matters or not, but I'm in "Photography" view. There is no "status bar" (as on a web browser) at the bottom. In fact, there are no tools or anything else at the bottom of Photoshop when it's open.
Well, I take that back, there are the ones at the very bottom right that look like a "chain", an "fx", what looks like a "camera", a circle split with black and white, a "folder", a piece of paper, and a trash can, all of which are grayed out.
I know that Paint Shop Pro and previous versions of Photoshop had tabs at the very bottom left of the window, representing windows that were minimized and clicking any one of them would bring the image to the forefront.
A co-worker asked how to display the full drawing path in the window header. He said that it used to, now doesn't. I have never seen the full path of the drawing in the header before. Mine just says "AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013 (Drawing File Name) [Project Folder]"
Change to the grid view and resize the LR window by double-clicking the frame title - the window will be resized but the grid view is not updated -
maximing the windows --> blank area to the right of the thumbnails (the images in the grid view)press tab two times to if fix the problemrestore the window--> some thumbnails are only half visible or not visisble at all because there is no horizontal scrollbar and the thumbnails have not been wrappedpress tab two times to if fix the problem
I think I did not have this issue with LR 3.5 - or same problem with LR 3.6?
When I saved my file, I saved it as a jpeg because I hadn't saved it until done with it. But since I saved it as a JPEG, I closed out and it notified me about the flattening process, which I am familiar with, so I ignored it because it said something about being able to undo the process.
I recently installed / upgraded to CS5.1, set up all my preferences, keyboard shortcuts, presets, plugins. All worked fine, day in - day out, for the last three weeks. About three days ago this anomaly appeared...
When I zoom in (cmd +/), the window will resize, but only part way. The window will move over flush right on the monitor, but leave about one inch of space between the window and the left side of the monitor, and increase in size until it fits aprox 2/3rds of the monitor / screen. It stops enlarging and leaves about 3 inches of space between the window and the bottom of the screen. At that point I get scroll bars. So I end up with a much smaller window to work in.
I can grab the bottom right corner of the window, pull it open to fill the screen, but as soon as I go to zoom in or out, the window jumps back to the smaller size with the gap on the left side and bottom.
Option bar is "Standard Screen Mode"
All my pallets are on a separate monitor, so nothing else is on my main monitor that would limit the size of my window as I zoom in.
My preferences are set to: • Zoom Resizes Windows • Enable Flick Panning (works fine) • Animated Zoom OS 10.5x 10GB ram
I don't know if I inadvertently changed something to cause this.
When I open illustrator CS6 or InDesign I always want to be able to view my desktop so I can access files. Why has CS4, 5 and 6 gone full screen when you open files. Is there a way to prevent full screen mode? I am getting so tired of dragging the bottom right corner to make the window smaller. I'm using a mac, 10.7.5
I have never been able to use Full Screen Mode / Full Screen Mode with Menu Bar because my Window Tabs disappear.
Until now I have ignored this but I really want to start making the most of my screen space. I don't understand how people can go into full screen mode without tabs of their open documents. It makes the experience completely useless to me and I can't believe I can't find any solutions online. I feel like I am overlooking a simple button somewhere on the screen thinking "surely Adobe would include this!?"
I am currently on 13 inch MacBook Pro using CS6 beta.
The title just about says it all. I usually edit in Full Editor mode, but normally there is an Explorer-like ribbon running across the bottom, much like the one in Express Lab. I opened PSP ProX3 today and it was gone. I'm guessing it disappeared when i did some editing for my daughter in a non-standard (for me) mode.
How do I get it back? I swear I have hunted and even RTFM'd.
When I try to open a autocad 2004 dwg in AI cs6 the board is blank, but all of the 20 layers of the autocad dwg appear in the AI layers window. There is no text in the dwg, and I selected scaled to fit box.
Due to my familiarity with Inkscape, I did this in Gimp. I chose the Select tool ( R ) and selected several images in one column. I thought, that I would see all the boxed-in layers selected for easy duplication, but nope.
So how can I quickly/easily select a box-full of layers at once, a la Inkscape?
I have a new computer and want to move the databse catalog over. I backed up in PSE 9 to an external hard drive. I connected to HD to the new computer and tried a resotre catalog. I chose "New Location" since I was going from XP to Windows 7 and was unsure if there would be a conflict with file locations. I also chose "Restore Original Floder Strucure". Very quickly I recieve an error message "Could not restor file .xml". I have run Restore Catalog several times and each time a DIFFERENT FILE receives the error message. I then disabled Norton Anti Virus Auto-Protect. I then disabled several programs running in the background. Same problem. I then copied the Backup Catalog to the new computer and tried to Restore it from there. Same Problem. I have now run a Repair Catalog on the original file. PSE states there is no error. I want to purchas PSE 11, but wanted to install/restore the database with the same version 9 first.
1-if i select any selection tools( marquee or lasso or any )and then select or draw on any layer (including image also ) and then right click it wil shows to select linear or radial or path and add to shows no of copies and distance and scale input box in properties bar.
2- if i right click to select invert selection on selected image or layer and then right click it will shows to select linear or radial or path and add to shows no of copies and distance and scale input box in properties bar.and if i create radial copies,it will shows additionally inward and outward direction input box in properties bar.
3- if we select eyedropper tool using alt key and press + ability to select inner and outer ring color with feather value.
4- if we select isolate layer and then press p to shows full preview of all layers.
I was wondering if it will be possible to rearrange layers by simply dragging them?I'm asking this because clicking on the move up/down buttons can become tedious when you have a lot of layers. Also will it be possible to auto hide the toolbar or enter a fullscreen mode?
I have a capstone lab project due tomorrow for my graphic arts class and I made a HUGE mistake!!! I created an image using 20 something layers and did SAVE AS as a .xcf image (with all layers open). Part of the project was to save in different formats: .xcf (with open layers), a .png, and a .jpeg (optimized). So, I did the first save and then flattened the image to SAVE AS a .png with a different file name.
Long story short, I was tired and had way too many images open at once. When I was closing all of the images I accidentally saved the changes (flatten image) to my original .xcf (with open layers)!!!! Now, my .xcf that is supposed to have open layers only has one layer...the finished project!! I tried going to the file properties to restore a previous version, but it says that no previous versions were found! I also downloaded a norton "unerase" utility, but maybe I am not scanning properly to locate the file!?!
When using the Filter Window, we would like to see the other layers at the same time. At the moment, we only see the active layer on a transparency checker background.
This is my first time using this program, and I accidentally closed the 'layers' window that shows the layers and lets you move them around. I can't find where to open it again.
im having this problem with the "File > Import > Video Frames to Layers" the box comes up like this:
as you can see the box is white, the file i have imported if MP4 and iv tryed this with 2 files now, and get the smae thing, iv also tryed ans mov file the which dose show a preview but it still showd the black bar at the bottom and no time bar and such

it's Photshop CS5 that im useing running on 64bit windows 8, i was priviously runing 32bit windows 8 and and this worked fine, then upgraded to 64bit and now this problem has occoured
I've been using CS2 Photoshop 9 for some time on an iMac running 10.4.11. all of a sudden, the Layers window will not stay open. It'll open with F7 but as soon as I click on the image I'm working on, the Layers window closes! All the other windows seem to work OK. Did I mistakenly hit something to cause this to happen? It's almost like an automatic window closer.
Is there a way to select all the layers in the Layers Window? is: I've got a GIF animation that's comprised of 590 individual layers, and to work on specific layers, It'd be convenient to be able to hide all the layers other than the layer I'm working on - maybe with a dialog under Layers>>Stack>>Select all Layers>>Hide, or an "eye" checkbox at the top or bottom of the Layers window that would select all layers, thereby allowing me to "unhide" the selected layer by checking the "eye" ,(show), checkbox of the relevant layer.
Currently, the only way I know of to work on a specific layer within such a stack is to move the layer to the top of the stack so it becomes the visible layer, perform the work, then return the layer to its original location.
My layers dock has gone missing. According to the list in my 'Windows' tab, it claims to be open. I have looked all over the screen. I have switched on and off again etc. I have even deliberately thrown other docks off the screen to see if they come back to normal screen area if I close and reopen Gimp- and they do. so it isn't lost off screen.
I have unistalled and re-insalled and it has not come back.
1. Go to Windows>recently closed docks - Mine says 'empty'
2. File>create docks - I don't have this option- mine choices are 'new', 'create', 'open', 'open as layers', ''open location', 'open recent'... then a few which pertain to having an image open that you're working on... then 'quit'.
3. I went to Youtube and the tutorials on how to make your Gimp like Photoshop and how to get back closed windows also haven't worked.
While I was first working with CorelDraw13, I tried exporting a file that had a layer that was hidden, but printable. I got a warning/error window notifying my of the problem. In the corner, there was a check box option to not display that warning/error message.
Now, I am trying to get that window to show up again.
