They are currently just an outline..see attached.
I'm currently learning Inventor and going through the tutorials. At present I am learning about drawings. For some reason the scale (e.g 1:1) and dimension numbers do not appear in the drawings. I can see the arrows that make the dimensions but that is all. How to turn these on? I have tried every setting I can find but it appears that I can't figure this out.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an opportunity to make a good impression at a new job, but ive never had the initiative to learn how to write a lisp routine. at my work we make walk-in coolers and freezers. these coolers are modular with a standard wall piece measuring a certain length. these wall sections have to be numbered sequentially. is there any way to automate this? sometimes we get change order from the client and it means going back and manually changing multiple texts (sometimes in the hundreds), but i thought if there was a way these wall sections could be scheduled somehow that when a new wall panel is inserted in the beginning of the sequence it would update everything after it automatically.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIm trying to show some measurements in layout view. But when i dimension between 2 points i get the number 71,84. When i use the measure tool in model view i get 1150mm which is the correct length.
Sure there is some simple reason why the two arnt coming in with the same value. Also it isnt an issue with Units as i have checked both and they are both in millimetres.
Is there a way to restrict a dimension line to only measure vertical or horizontal?
I am trying to put in the vertical dimension from the center of circle "A" to the center of circle "B", however, when I select the center of "A" and move to "B" the dimension flips to Horizontal.
Is there a way to restrict this tool to Horizontal or Vertical?
I have subroutine that retrieves a list of detail numbers in a drawing. Sometimes there are missing numbers. I am looking to find a list of any missing numbers.
Example -
(setq List_DN (list 1 2 3 5 6 7 10 11 12 17))
Missing numbers are - 4,8,9,13,14,15,16
I would like a subroutine to take the List_DN are return the following missing numbers as text
(Get_Missing List_DN)
return
4,8-9,13-16
I am trying to link my parts list to a drawing however all balloons have different numbers.
I open the assembly and check everything out from vault I open my bom and change item numbers. When I get back to my drawing and apply for auto balloon I get completely different item numbers in my balloons. We just updated our software to a new 2012 version so it's maybe something with set up.
Is there a way to sync callout numbers to correspond with note numbers. When I add or delete notes in my drawings it takes to much time to update the callout number in the drawings. I need to figure out a way for the note and corresponding callout to change at the same time.

Basically, I scanned his 3th period notes and I would like to change some and add some

Made few viewports (3d) in paperspace, set scale & locked. Zoom in and out from paperspace is fine, scale in the viewports stay as set until after I double-click inside the viewport to check or alter things and return to paperspace.
Now when zooming in from paperspace, subjects inside the viewport keep enlarging (not scale increase) and things go out of space ...zooming out everything come back to place. This makes doing other task very difficult.
I'm trying to get the dimension text that I pull out to the side closer to the actual dimension marks. The 2 1/2" and 2" shown have a minimum distance they can get toward their dimensions. I would like it to be about half of what it is, but so far I haven't been able to find the property that changes that.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to override a dimension with some sort of formula or function that relates to the length of the dimension?
A simple linear scaling might be possible by inventing a new unit with the appropriate conversion ratio, but that wouldn't work. What I need for the dimension to display a length 400 less than the actual length.

I have an image I would like to enlarge but not lose (much) resolution.
Here is the picture...
I have to enlarge quite a few high-res images for a catalog project. My rule of thumb has always been 120% of actual size max and I'm still safe.
However, the client wants some images to cover spreads, which would force me to blow those pics sometimes past 200% of their actual size.
I called the printer who's printing the job to get their thoughts on fractiles software and they said that they typically go to 200% of actual size with little or no pixilation/degradation. I find that hard to believe...
I've got a pic of...say...my son. I place a pic of a transparent CD on a layer on top of the son. I select the cd (that is a circle selection...) and I now want to sort of magnify what shows of my son within that selection...

I've tried simply blurring them, but there are some layer styles used and those don't blur. What should I do?
