AutoCad :: Dimension Variable On Output Sheet

I have a plan that has a building that has portions at 25 and 60 degrees. I have it dimensioned. When I xref it into my output sheet and rotate the drawing so that the portion on that output sheet is at 0 degrees (the architect want it this way so each section fits on a sheet with minimal number of sheets), it rotates my text so that it now reads from the left.
Is there a systems variable that can be changed so that my designs will read from the bottom or the right on these drawings?

When scrolling through the list of variables (accessed through the commands prompt -> Setvar ->?
->*)
that all variables pointing to a path show backslashes except for SAVEFILEPATH.

Is there a variable to force dimension text line to show? I am using annotative dimensions and the placement for the text is forced to the outside of the dimension if it doesn't fit. I get annoyed on having to move the text to show the dimline above the dimension.

We are using 2011.I created a VBA tool that populates the FX Userparameters with a Thickness Variable..How do I set the Sheet Metal Rules Thickness to the new new FX UserParameter Thickness Variable?
for example:
The Userparamter variable name is "cab_thk"
Under Sheet Metal Defaults | Sheet Metal Rules | Sheet (Tab)
The Thickness entry should read "cab_thk"

I mirrored a sheet metal the length in the folded model carried on to the mirrored part, but i cant get the dimension of the flat part of the original part. Is there a way to do this.?

I tried to match the dimensions of the already existing product with new dimension through fx parameters(using link excel sheet), while conversion all the dimensions are changed except taper value (By default it comes with inch instead of degrees) It can be changed by adding user parameter but i want it to consider from excel sheet data itself. Is it possible? For reference i have attached the snap shots

Just upgraded to CS5.1 I see contact sheet II has changed and is handled by Bridge / Output module.I don't like that you can't print directly from Bridge, but have to save as a pdf, then reopen the doc and print from Reader or PS.I can only hope that changes.
I created a custom layout in Bridge, 3.9 inch x3.9 inch at 300ppi. 3 across and 3 down. Made the contact sheet, saved as pdf. Opened in CS5.1Here's the problem. The document which is suposed to be 3.9.x3.9 (square) is actually 3.092 inch x 2.318 inch (not square!).
The reason for the problem is that I drag and drop the contact sheet onto another document template (it has logo, name, etc.) to print. The other document is 4.5" x 4.5" So the contact pdf doesn't fit the template. (This used to work great in CS3 as you didn't have to save the contact sheet as it was created. It was a layered doc which you could drag onto another doc / template.) I can't see any reason the contact sheet would not be the same as created in Bridge / output mod. when opened up in CS5

I'm attempting to write a batch script to add some layers to a pre-existing image and save a copy. I've gone through the tutorial, and have run the demo code from Basic_Batch with no errors, but my (what I think of as simple) script throws an "Error: eval: unbound variable: ?" It also seems to cascade the error to other scripts, as I then get "unmatched parentheses: 2" errors from what I assume to be the script immediately following my own during Script-Fu load. This occurs whether running from batch or clicking "Refresh Scripts" from the Script-Fu menu.
What I could find on this forum and Google suggests that I may be required to 'define' one or more of my variables before using it, but for the life of me, I can't figure out which one that would be, and the error (reporting that '?' is undefined!?) I've quintuply (probably more ~_^) checked my parenthesis matching, but they look fine to me.
In case this was an encoding issue, I've tried saving my .scm file as both UTF-8 and ANSI. I should also note that I'm running Windows 7 x64 in English-US.

I'm trying to get the dimension text that I pull out to the side closer to the actual dimension marks. The 2 1/2" and 2" shown have a minimum distance they can get toward their dimensions. I would like it to be about half of what it is, but so far I haven't been able to find the property that changes that.

Is it possible to override a dimension with some sort of formula or function that relates to the length of the dimension?
A simple linear scaling might be possible by inventing a new unit with the appropriate conversion ratio, but that wouldn't work. What I need for the dimension to display a length 400 less than the actual length.

Is there a way to override a dimension and have it shown as a GD&T Basic dimension. I can override a dimension with the text option but not with a box around the letter. It sounds strange to do this but the letter represents a dimension in a chart format that are Basic dimensions.

When doing an angle dimension and trying to put text under the dimension line, the text types out straight which if long enough will extend over the dimension line. Other then creating text with arctext, is there no other way to get it curved? I am using AutoCAD 2010.

I have done this lot of time in my previous job an year back. but I can't seem to remember what to type between dimension text & the word I want to add in edit text box, so that it appers below dimension line.

I'm inserting dimensions and the tics keep coming out huge and not on the dimension line, in fact there's one on either side 20 ft out. If I change the drawing scale in the tab at a the bottom the tics get smaller and closer in, but they are still off the dimension string by a long shot.

I am having a problem opening older sheet sets from AutoCAD 2014.
I can select the .dst file, but when it "opens" I onlly have the icon in the seet set manager and nothing else, it is entirely blank.
I made a new sheet set, but now older versions of AutoCAD cannot read that one.

A collegue asked me about this as he has been given a part to model and the details are for the flat sheet not the finished model. Is this possible in 'sheet metal'? I have a dwg file with three sheets in, just default names, I can access sheets 2 and 3 but get the attached errors when trying to access sheet 1 form either sheet 2 or 3
This file was originally created in IV2009 I've had no problems then or with the various conversions of it.
It seems to be memory related so here's the sitrep as for memory 8GB DDR2 RAM, and Virtual Memory set at min of 8192MB and a Max of 16384MB, I did have it set a systems managed but that gave a warning of low virtual memory with almost every drawing file that I opened.

I am using AutoCAD 2013 and I working on a project of approxamitely 80 pages and I have a Sheet Set Manager set up.There are about 40 pages that have text saying Continuation on Sheet XX of YY. I managed to use a field for the total count (YY) however I need to link the XX to the another drawing. I have researched and failed miserably.

I'm trying to set up a title block template that will be used between several different sheet sets. I have entered the custom properties, then when I go to the title block and try to insert the fields with current sheet set custom the drop down box is empty and then when I try to type in the custom property name the link still does not function. Is there some trick that I'm missing, or is this function broken on AutoCad 2013?
