i downloaded this version of cad and before i had only worked with the 2007 version at school and its very different. But what i need is a cool ribbon so i can work but for some bizarre reason all of my pallets in my ribbon is completely weird and funky and the cad came like this

I have CS6 and a Savin printer. I have recently run into issues of it turning my projects a funky shade. I took the file to the office store and it printed fine for them. My printer is printing other jobs great but the trouble just appears with PShop.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe Eye Dropper tool is acting funky. It was preventing me from picking up the color of my template when in outline mode - instead selecting no fill and no stroke. I finally got it to work by unchecking "Appearance" in the tool options. I didn't actually change any settings inside appearance (everything inside is still checked). That did allow me to select the templates color, but now it is also selecting my "path color". If my layer's color is set to Cyan for example, eye dropper actually selects cyan if i click on the path.
Is there a way to allow template color selection but avoid path color selection?
EDIT: I just discovered that these settings don't even pick up the template color correctly. They choose the color of the auto-dim/opacity that occurs when setting a template.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to customize Autocad 2012 ribbon tab. I can't seem to find how to mimic the small arrow that appears in several of the standard menus. For example, in the 3D Solids - Home Tab, the second panel from the left is "3D Solids Home - Mesh" It has a small arrow in the corner that opens up a preferences dialogue box.
How can I add that arrow to a custom panel with that little arrow so that I can add my command to it?
I was messing around the other day and I came up with this effect. In my haste to get something done I just saved the picture and moved on. Unfortunately now I am unable to remember the name or location of the effect I used. I am not sure if it is a filter or not. I am sure this is just a silly little thing and I am being dumb, however I have gone through every menu and every filter and I can't seem to figure it out. This image I believe I had inverted and maybe changed the color layout a little bit, but the effect changed both color and style.

I saw some source that hinted you could use panel1Panel.AddSlideout() but in the search I do not see any Ribbon API that allows for any slideout functionality?Do you *have* to use the CUI API for this?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI created my own tools of own content on my own pallets and then found . you can drag a whole tab into the browser to quickly archive your tools. Having reinstalled I have 'dropped the collections back to ACA12 and all my tools restored.
However I can no longer edit or add to these tool pallets. I cannot edit any properties within tools either. There is no lock symbol on the pallet that I can see, only a refresh symbol.
The .atc file they reference (found from the Content Browser location they came from) is not set to read only. Permissions seem to be set to allow read, modify, write etc. I first used the 'My Tool Catalog' provided but also copied it all back to a new catalog but it's still locked.
We are working together whit another firm and we would like to share our tool pallets and lisp routines. The pallets and lisp files we would like to share are quite large so we would like to simply send them a USB stick whit all the files and a title "executable" program that automatically puts them on the right place and changes the appropriate information.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy CorelMacros.CreateColorSwatch macro has stopped dumping the swatches into whatever blank Letter-sized document I have open (which is how it used to work) and instead it is creating a new document, at 4.25" wide x 7" high, and dumping the swatches into that. Using Pantone Solid Coated, but it's doing this regardless of what palette I choose.
There is no option in the Macro's dialog box to alter or even instantiate a page size, and I cannot find in the code of the macro where to set this variable.
In CS4 the image covers pallets I wish to use. I need to either move the image or make it smaller to get to the pallets that are open. Is there any way to have the pallets on top of the image? I am thinking that this is a change from CS3, as I do not remember this annoying behavior.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've always layout my floor plans three dimensional with the tools pallets commands such as walls, rails, door, windows & ect. I always have my walls pre-hatched with the solid pattern which is really effective to the floor plan. Normally when I put windows in the wall the window is clearly shown without the hatch in the wall but for some reason my wall's hatch started covering the windows and I can't seem to solve this problem.

so every time i launch psp, literally every time i have to move the pallets around. then sometimes, if i drag in a large image it does this:

When I open a Threshold layer (or any other Adjustment layer), CS4 opens an Adjustment Layers pallet (or Tab Group or whatever it's called) and leaves it there, even if I delete the Threshold layer. To get rid of the Tab Group, I have to manually close it. That's annoying.
CS3 let me add a Threshold layer (or any other Adjustment layer) without opening the Adjustment Layers pallet.
Is there a place I can click in CS4 to tell it to not open the Adjustment Layers pallet whenever I add an Adjustment layer?
Ok i am not exactly new to Ai but i can only do certain things. So i took a cource and i am just having a helluva time finding a simple section on that tut.
Panels like color swatches and graphic styles have 3 appearances. 1 is fully open, 2 is colapsed with icons and then there is collapsed with label names.
How do i get the layer names collapse?
I just loaded CS6 and the tools pallets are all in black? Whats the deal?

After the last issue with ACAD and Vista my IT director has finally decided I can have a new computer... In April. So I need to know what people think would be good graphics cards, processors, etc. for ACAD 2012 & 2013. I say 12 because most times I'm in 13 something goes wrong (Vista). So I have gone back to 12.how to use the Ribbon now and I guess I'll have to learn Windows 7 too. I like my XP and toolbars and I'll miss them.

However. To make it work i had to do a workaround because IExtensionApplication.Initialize is apparently run before the Ribbon is created in AutoCAD. To make it work i created a time that runs until the ribbon is created.
But i think this is implementation is flawed since i had to do the workaround, but also because the ribbon disappearse when the ribbon is updated. Say when the user changes something in the CUI menu.

I am using ACAD MEP 2012. While i was working on a drawing my AutoCAD session locked up and terminated the program, not thinking anything of it i just restarted ACAD and started working on the same drawing. I noticed the ribbon looks different and now all the command buttons are not showing up under the tabs they are ALL in dropdown windows now. I don't know what happened to the original ribbon setup but it is definitely not what it used to be. Attached below are pics of what i am referring to. The first picture is what it used to look like, the second and third pictures are what they look like now.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have successfully created the ribbon tab in Autocad2010 and its load on start up of Autocad. When i change my workspace my ribbon tab disappear is there any way i can make my tab available in all workspaces.
I am not using CUI Customization.
I have Cad 2013 and don't know how to set up the ribbon style workspace. Ihad set it up a while ago in 2011 and labeled my workspace as KPRIBBON. This workspaceis selected, but the classic CAD Is still the view now in 2013.

I am on chapter 3 and was following the suggestions for moving the ribbon by undocking it. Great, but now I can't get it back to the top where it started. It moves left and right just fine. I tried undo 100, no luck. I tried restarting my computer but it has now transfered to all of my practice drawings as well, all have the ribbon on the side.

If I go into the CUI settings dialogue, I don't see this plug-in listed anywhere where it should appear. It had occurred to me that maybe the only way this app works is from the plug-in tab and not from the command line, but I'm not sure that makes any sense, either seems it should work either way, if I'm interpreting the documentation correctly. But, I cannot make my ribbon tab appear to check out my probably mistaken theory (see above). Navigating around the CUI dialogue and checking the settings for my tab, I see that it is set to "show" and there is every indication that it should appear, but there seems to be something buggy or suspicious going on with the
Control-0 (clean screen) toggle and/or the Control-9 (command line) toggle as well?I don't see how either of these would have any affect on the visibility of my tab, if they were toggled to the correct setting. In the Default.ivb I have created a function that creates a new panel and adds some buttons in the panel.
I see the panel and the buttons, but nothing happens when I click on them.
The documentation says that in order to listen to the events of my buttons I should declare a "Private WithEvents ButDef As ButtonDefinition", but it when I try I get an error message "Only valid in object module"
Another question, still related to the events, I would expect to find a _StartUp event where I should run my function, but I can't find that event.
A sample code for creating a dropdown menu for a AutoCAD ribbon toolbar? I can attach buttons and so on to the toolbar, but I cannot make a drop down menu.
