If you model a spere, render it and drop the opacity, so that you can see anything which was inside. And give your 3d model the usual backgroung "The Sun"
The sun will cause a yellow shadow from the spere, is there a way of turning the shadow off for individual objects ?
p.s im using AutoCAD 2010
I use a simple opacity mask on some equally simple (but large) artwork. It slows down the screen rendering so much as to make the file almost unworkable with the preview turned on.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt does it every 4-6 times which is really really often since you brush about 10 times every 3 seconds or so when digital painting especially when shading, lighting, blending, etc with brushing.
Why does it do this? I cant recall when it started doing this but I think it was either when I updated from CS4 to CS6 or maybe it just randomly kicked in. I already updated my drivers and re-installed my tablet.
In the animation I am working on, I need an object to instantly go from 100% opacity to 0% opacity. The problem is, even if you use the opacity of the layer as a keyframe, the object will not instanlty vanish, even if it is only on for the timeruler for a quick amount of time.
I need a tool that will drop from 100% opacity to 0% instantly.
why i cannot change the color of the background when rendering? It is always black, and i cannot attached or make new material, if need to attach jpeg or new texture on my drawing, cannot create new material. what should i do? im currently using autocad for mac 2012.

Similar to when you can change the linetype and linewieght, is there a precentage that allows to dim lines? Like when you insert .pdf plans as underlay, and you can actualy reduce the opacity. So that when you plot the plan drawing, some lines look solid black, but some are almost impossible to see? Or should I just change the colour of the line to light gray?

When I view the drawing with autocad 2008 I get small dots or "x" all over my solids. Now Ive worked on the drawing on 2008 saved it and opened it in 2012 and now the dots or "x"s are happening in both versions. I used to think it was a video card issue but now that it's happening both places it can't be. How I get back the smooth glass look I had on 2012 version.

See my assumption was that 50% + 50% = 100%. So if you had a solid black layer set to 50% opacity and you duplicated that layer one would think that it would be solid black again... but no is only 75% black. WHAT?
The other thing is that solid black with and opacity level of 50% over solid white is a true 50% gray which is half black and half white - do to half's not make a whole?

Each box needs a 100% black stroke around it. But when I apply the stroke to the box and then lower the box opacity to 50%, the black stroke fades out as well. I can't find a way to allow the 100% stroke to remain 100% black around the 50% opacity box.

I'm trying to render some particles with a Standard material that has a gradient opacity map applied...the material also has Face Map enabled. The resulted render gives me a black background around the particles (see image 01.jpg) If I disable the fog it renders fine (see image 02.jpg). Also, it works fine with scaneline.

I'm trying to put a watermark on an image using the opacity bar for the text. However, the text remains 100% opaque until I get down to 50% opacity, at which point it completely disappears. I thought there may be something wrong with the text layer (not sure if that's the right term.. layers and paths, etc. are all new to me), so I tried it with other tools such as the eraser and the same problem occurs. Is there a bug in my program or am I just really new at this?
When I move the opacity slider, it doesn't change until it hits 50% - then it disappears. It also shows up as pure solid or purely missing, when I try to use it on my website.
How do I get 60% opacity on an image?
I've imported some linework from sketchbook, and despite the tool being set to draw at 100% opacity, my lines are partially transparent.
I want to increase their opacity, but drawing over all the lines again would be terrible.
The lines are all a solid black (although I have another layer with various colors) so there should be some simple operation I can do to adjust that opacity, but I can't figure out what.
