AutoCAD Visual LISP / AutoLISP :: Select Multiple Instances Of Text (dtext) With Different Strings

I am trying to select multiple instances of text (dtext) with different strings but want to change all of the fomats to the same settngs. I have searched high and low on the web to no avail. I am using AutoCAD 2012.
For example: I want the routine to find all instances of "AA", "AB", "AC", "AD", "BA", "BB", "BC", "BD", etc... all the way up to "ZD".
Next I want all of those text entities to change to the following text formats:
Getting this to work with just finding one string at a time with the ssget function seems simple enough, but it's getting it to work with multiple strings that I can't get past.
Someday the light bulb is going off and I will understand mapcar and lambda. However.....I have a program that reads an excel file sheets. Sometimes the sheet only has 1 column, sometimes 2 or more.
I need to convert the saved values from the sheet to a list with the text spaced evenly. Unfortunately the text lengths vary. I would like a subroutine to pass the list to and return a list of strings with text aligned with padded spaces allowing for the longest text in each column. I am using the new list in a dialog box with fixed_width_font=true (so columns align).
How can I pass the contents of a cell value (text string) to Acad? I want the user to click on a cell, then have lisp use the string as the name of a block to insert.
Lisp program, by selecting on screen multiple block attribute and to change those selected (by picking) attributes to colour 252.
At the moment, I'm using a custom macro : ^C^C-ATTEDIT C;252;;
But if I've got a lot of attributes to change, it takes awhile to complete.
I know about BATTMAN but I do not want to change the block entities in that way. The reason I want to change the attributes to colour 252 is because here at this company we do existing drawing in colour 252 and any new equipment on its proper layer colours.
I am trying to select multiple objects and change them. However, the following code lets me only change one at a time. Even when I select a window around obejcts, it only changes a single item.

I'm making a program that reads a property file that follows the format:
"key=value" for each line on the text file.
One specific line has the key "file" and the value is some file path that includes a space.file=C:/my folder/my file.txt
Now I can extract what the key and value is for any given line in the file.However, I want to put all of the data into an Associative List so that I will not need to keep opening the file each time I search for information. I've been using the cons function in order to create a dotted list, which is successful. However I have an issue when I add this dotted list to the end of my associative list.
Suppose I have a key and a value already stored inside variables. Below I have two lines of code, first the dotted list portion is printed, and works as expected. The second line adds that dotted list to the associative list:
Now, the dotted list is inserted properly and looks like this after printing the whole associative list: ((version . 1.0.1) (file . C:my foldermy file.txt))
(layoutlist) ... returns a list of strings of the layout tabs in the drawing.I've used this ages... Isn't it a core lisp function, or is it coming from express tools or somewhere else?

I have some general knowledge in lisp coding. But I can't seem to figure this one out (even to get started). What I want to do is make a lisp that:
- selects a line
then
- select any amount of text (any type)
then
- moves all the text to that selected line without rotating the text
if a line is perfectly horizontal then move the text of the y axis.
if the line is vertical then move the text of the x axis.
or there can be a prompt asking the user to chose the angle or axis in which the text will move (say if they want to move the text to a slanted line, you can choose to move the text on an angle, while keeping the same format and not rotating the text, or you can ask the user if they want to move it only vertically or horizontally)
I would really like the code to integrate into my autocad.
I am looking for some code that would allow me to select a MTEXT Entity - or other entity - (as the DEFAULT option) but also to allow me to type in some text manually or to pick a point in the drawing. Something that would present the user with:
"Select an object or [P to pick a point]" or
"Select MTEXT or [M to type].
I can write some code to type in text manually as the default option and get the second option to select entity using get string and then write some condition of if code but I don't know how to do it having entsel as default option.
I need to be able to batch process a bunch of title block attributes automatically.
Block Name: Title Block
Tag Name: SH
Currently they come out with just the number 1, 2 , 3 etc I need to add a leading zero ie 01, 02, 03 etc
All the scripts I have will just replace the number with another
I just want to append the zero infront of the existing number
ie the code will need to read the existing number and decide if its less than 10. if it is less than 10, then the code just needs to append the leading 0. if its 10 or over, then do nothing.
I am trying to globally find and replace text in Autocad 2000 drawings. If I have a folder containing 10 Autocad files, I want to open every file in that folder, while in each file, search for a certain line of text and replace that text, then close that file, open the next and find/replace text in that file.
I've created an autolisp file that allows me to open all the files in a certain folder, but I can't find any way, either thru autolisp or scripts, to allow me to find and replace text in each autocad drawing without using Autocad's "find" command to manually enter the text when each drawing is open.
I want to setup the autolisp file to accept input up front, save the "old text" and "new text" to variables, then use those variables as the lisp routine is running.
This version was used to automate creating PDF files. The command 'PDF' is a command from another Lisp file.
Newbie here trying to learn LISP. My first program is to flip all arcs and circles that have a Normal Z property of -1. But I'm having trouble finding a detailed list of commands and functions for the LISP language that explain creating circles to selecting entities filtered by properties. I must be searching for the wrong terminology.
I have the following code, that for some reason the last created dimension is no being selected. That's the first problem. The second (and not as improtant) problem( becasue it does work), is that I'm using the "dimedit" command. I prefer to do a swap within the dxf codes, that I treid but didn't work, so I resorted to the "dimedit" command.
using autolisp or visual lisp I want to open "Select Color Dialog Box" URL....and get RGB color code to my lisp.If I enter "color" in command line, i get color dialog box, but if I use this command in (command "color") I get more promts and not color Dialog Box.
I want to make a lisp routine which would ask for first color, second color and range of colors. And will calculate color range from first color to second color.
I want to explode all anonymous blocks, but how do I create a selection set of them.?(ssget "x" '((2 . "*U*"))) doesn't work, and is dangerous if you have any blocks with the letter 'u' in them.
There is a very complecated drawing. Texts are on a line and crossing a line or something like that. Some texts has insertion points on the line. When the line is selected by LISP, only the specific texts with insertion points on the line are selected. Does it make sence?
I am interested in a program that can select layers by its color, and then change those layers to a different color and add a prefix of Z- in front of those layers.
I found a program (below) that works pretty close to what I am looking for but not quite.

what I'm trying to do is have the program select the block and then I want to get out of it what the Block Name is, so I can then compare it to the list of block names that I want the program to move. Here is what I was trying to use:
I need to wright a routine in autolisp that selects all 3Dpolylines with the same vertex Z value.Qselect as no transparent mode and filter doesn't work.
When you select similar using autocad it select similar in entire drawing. What i want is i am able to select similar using the same setting of selecting similar but with window selection instead of entire drawing ?
