I have been having a few 3dpline's with the last vertex being in a different layer. I saw a site mention that this is an AutoCAD 14 bug that could be caused if a program does not end the pline with the layer being set properly before doing a seqend command. If I move the entity to another layer and then back to the correct one it will fix it. Audit in R14 will not show any errors. If I export the file to AutoCAD 12 , audit will detect and fix the problem. I would like to find a Lisp, ARX, etc. that would check for this problem and fix, change color or layer, or whatever.
I have a program that makes 3d polylines from various data. That 3d pline then gets added to a civil 3d surface as a breakline. I want to modify the pline with my program, but preserve the handle, as I think that is what C3D uses to decide if its part of the surface. I tried this as a sample with no luck:
;DELETE 3RD VERTEXT FROM 3D PLINE (DEFUN C:T3 ( / EN ENAME ENT ENTL) ;GET 3D PLINE (SETQ ENT (ENTSEL " Select 3D Pline:")
[Code] .....
I know you can modify a vertex, but what about add and delete with entmake and entmod? I also considered using activex for this task, but you can only add verticies from what I could tell in the object browser of VBA, not delete them.
What I will be doing is deleting all the verticies and adding back the correct ones. Or if there was a way to transfer a handle to a new entity after deleting the old, that would suffice too.
I have LWPOLYLINEs that represent a cross section of a train tunnel. Each LWPOLYLINE lists its 2D points in an Object Coordinate System. My task is to create 3D Polylines in WorldCoordinateSystem using those LWPOLYLINEs.I have posted a drawing with sample objects.
I have attached a sample drawing. Drawing was created with Civil 3D 2013, but I exporttoautocadr12dxf'd it and then save to 2004 dwg so most should be able to open it.

I have been using one routine very successfully to create a pline in modelspace that has the outline of the chosen viewports in the drawing. This one works great.
Now I am trying add other routines that I've done to better fit my needs. If I use each routine individually at the command line they work, but when I use all in a single command I got the following errors:
The routine SetColor - does not change color to Bylayer The routine RectWidth - ; error: bad SSGET list
Why?
See the attached file for more details and be free to improve whatever you want in my routines because they are very basic.
And, if I am not asking to much, is that possible to not be prompt to select objects? I mean, the routine could automatically select all viewports in the drawing...
Now I have all block instances rounded into a 5mm-accuracy. How to also round in Line start and end points (and maybe even polyline vertices) into a 1mm (or custom) accuracy. There are hundreds of inaccurate line elements within the drawing .
the resulting arc-fit pline has each pline segment converted into two arcs, the common radii of which are perpendicular to the original segment (unless direction of curverature changes)
the resulting arcs can be calculated given the angle of the tangents for each segment.
the factors for determining the tangents at vertex N are:
deflection angle at N
deflection angle at N+1 (90° or non-extant = not a factor, 0° or 180° = segment is the tangent)
deflection angle at N-1 (90° or non-extant = not a factor, 0° or 180° = segment is the tangent)
ratio of lengths of segments (N , N+1) and (N , N-1)
I can find the tangents when N±1 = 90° and when the segment lengths are equal but i can't figure out how to compute the tangent if these 3 factors are varied.
I don't want to use (command"._PEDIT" pl "_FIT""") because i need to collect the arc data anyway and at a high frame rate. The data will be used to further compute a spline frame that best fits a quadratic spline to the arcs. That part i know how to do!
I need to change the color of all lines/plines that intersect a given pline. How would I go about making the selection set of all lines that intersect that given pline.
I am using acad 2010. I have the ability to draw a 3d polyline on the screen with a different xyz value for each vertex using a digitizing puck. I need a lisp routine that will allow me to adjust the z value only (not the x and y values) on any 3d polyline. I just need to raise or lower the z value at any vertex and repeat if nessasary but I don't want to type it in, I want to raise/lower the z using digitizing puck (with z wheel)....example: I draw a 3d polyline which has 9 vertices with different elevations - vertex #6 is 22.6 (too high) in the z value so I need to drop it to 22.4 without typing it in. Vertex #8 is 12.2 (too low) so I need to raise the z to 12.6 without typing it in and using the z wheel on my digitizing puck. Others have tried and but this is a bit complicated and I may have not expressed it correctly.
I need to wright a routine in autolisp that selects all 3Dpolylines with the same vertex Z value.Qselect as no transparent mode and filter doesn't work.
lisp..It work fine but just that i need some minor modificatio to it...At moment, when i activate the lisp, it will automatic select all dimension, leader and multileader to a layer call "DIMENSION"...Anyway i wonder if it is possible to prevent any dimension, leader or multileader in layer "Section" will not be change to layer "Dimension"?
Say I have 2 items, one is on layer "M-Duct" and the other on "M-Pipe" (they are in the same drawing). Any lisp routine that would create the layers "M-Duct-New" and "M-Pipe-New" (based on the same color and LT as the original layers) and then move those objects to the newly created layers?
Possible to link an xref layer and local layer so they display the same (eg. sync viewport colour, linewieght, line type)?
I insert xref's for my base drawing but legend is on local layers and I would like to be able to ensure that the line colour and linetype always match...
I have a customized button to draw an ‘ac-arrow’. I created a lisp to create the layer “G-ANNO-LEDR”
if the layer name is not found. The advanced part I would like is:
Current layer: E-ANNO-WIRE
Ac-Arrow Leader: G-ANNO-LEDR
OPTION 1:
If, say I am on current layer “E-ANNO-WIRE” and need to draw my “ac-arrow” leader, and continue working
on the original layer “E-ANN-WIRE” (and have the leader be drawn [remain] on the layer “G-ANNO-WIRE”).
With this option, I have the block “ac-arrow” imbedded in my template drawing file to have the block at hand.
With this option, the layer “G-ANNO-LEDR” will be created IF it is not on the drawing.
OPTION 2:
- Currently be on layer “E-ANNO-WIRE”
- Bring in the block “ac-arrow” from my block library “L:AutoCADSymbols”
- Draw the “ac-arrow” leader which will be on layer “G-ANNO-LEDR” (this layer created IF it is not
on the current drawing).
- After the leader is drawn’
- Be put back to the layer I was, “E-ANNO-WIRE”, and continue working.
The OPTION 2 is what I would really like to have. A while back, I happen to see one like OPTION 2, but I cannot
find it anymore on the users groups. I have been searching for a while now.
Currently, I use the button in my customized toolbar (see image) and have to have the “ac-arrow” block in my drawing and have its layer created in the drawing.
Any script that when ran will set lineweights of a layer based on what color the layer is assigned. For instance if I have 3 lines that are green on 3 different layers. I need the script to change all 3 layers lineweight to .015mm. I have drawings that are inconsistant with layer names so layer translator and methods of that nature will not work because I do not know all the layer names and I have 100 drawings to do this to.
I am trying to improve quality of exported drawings from Revit. We had troubles with lines and setting „by layer“. We found solution, but unfortunately we have to do it manually for each drawing.
how to program (by using LISP for instance) following commands?
Start Layer Translator (command „laytrans“)In Layer Translator, load the same drawing in section „Translate To“In Settings check only „force object colour to ByLayer“ and „Translate objects in blocks“Click on „map same“Click on „translate“Done
When selecting any dimension type (from the standard AutoCAD toolbars) i would like it to already be in the layer "dimensions". Currently it starts in layer 0.
I've been browsing the web a bit and found a lot about it but people are talking about LISP's?? I can do magic things in AutoCAD but i am a complete stranger to LISP's, Macro's, etc... Would like to learn but where to start..
Anyway i can cover this with something else then writing an LISP?
