I am having trouble importing a tt text style called neuropol into my autocad LT 2009 fonts I have done this before using windows xp os.I have a new computer using windows 7 and cant get it.I have the new text style on my desktop and have tried to drag it but no luck I have tried to import the file as well but no luck it looks like it doesn't like dgn files or ?
I read that it's not possible to import a style (styxml file) into the style editor through the API, there is no dedicated command.
However I'm wondering if there's a a way to have the internal name corresponding to the button as we can do for the ribbon buttons (there's a sample code which does this).
So is it possible ot get the internal name of a button inside a dialog box (style editor here) or is it really hopeless to think I can import a style with a macro ?
I am looking for a way to change the text style used by a table style with Visual LISP. So far I have been able to get the IAcadTableStyle object from the acad_tablestyle dictionary, but there is no property for text style. Is this even possible? Code and results are below.
I am getting font style(like regular, bold, italic etc) like this-
while (count < fontCount) {//loop , which iterate throgh used fonts. ATE::IFont currentFont = fontRefArray.Item(count); if (!currentFont.IsNull()) { FontRef fontRef = currentFont.GetRef(); AIFontKey fontKey = NULL; result = sAIFont->FontKeyFromFont(fontRef, &fontKey); result = sAIFont->GetUserFontName(fontKey, fontname, 50); result = sAIFont->GetPostScriptFontName(fontKey, psname, 50); result = sAIFont->GetFontStyleName(fontKey, stylename, 50); result = sAIFont->GetFontFamilyUIName(fontKey, familyname, 50); }
For some fonts(not all the fonts) , Style name is comming as empty string, however for other fonts its working. Not sure why its working for some fonts and not for others. Other font properties are coming fine for all fonts. When its failing, result is not kNoErr, but i dont know that how to get the exact error?
Basically, I've tried downloading fonts to windows, but Photoshop couldn't pick them up, and I'm wondering if there's an easier way to do it. Haven't found any answers in the forums as most people don't seem to have 7.0 ME.
Im looking for some block style numbers for race cars. What fonts do you recommend or what websites do you recommend me to look at? I do a lot of graphics for race cars, go karts, dirt bikes etc. so im looking for some numbers that will really stand out and look good.
For labels, is the font decided in the general tab under text style or in the text component editor under the format tab? Are there overrides? There seems to be multiple locations for fonts choices when creating a label and I can't find a nice black and white answer.

I have inside every text,Mtext contents different text style like Arial_1 , Arial_2.
How i can give all the contents inside one style ? the normal procedure i will enter inside text to enter editing mode and changing text format style one by one. I want it once.
I want to save my routing of entering every text to change its content text style.
(Notice:select all from outside without editing mode will not do the job)
I recently completed a new parts list style - which I thought would be nice to use in some other idw's. So I exported it and saved it as "XXX BBB". Its original name was "XXX AAA".
When I go into another idw and import it I get it coming in as "XXX AAA" - even though I'm importing "XXX BBB".
Any way to automate the import of Style Definition files into the style and standard manager in the drawing environment? If not is there some other way to do it?
Is there a way to search for a text style in a civil style? I have a text style that our company is trying to get rid of and I would very much like to not have to go through our 72 company styles.

one would think that you could just export the .stm file into hydraflow, make some changes, and import, and all would be fine. when i export, all of the structures in hydraflow come up as drop curb. how can they come in as what they actually are.. aka, when the part i use is a 2x4 box, it should come into hydraflow as a "grate inlet", or a st-mh will come in as a "manhole".
and then likewise, when the changes are made, and its brought back into autocad, they all come in as a "standard" style. except the outfalls, which show as a "standard" style, but come in with a different block, and get a whole new label (outfal - x)
How to export an appearance like "metallic paint" in an xml style and then import it in another way. My real target is to have my RAL colours imported as paint.
If i import my styxml file with the style editor it imports me all the RAL like generic. Instead for example, "metallic paint" appearance has a lot of properties that regards paint.
I want to make a new file (by script) to import, that can add me all the RAL colours as painted ral. I don't find any import/export button.
(Anyway, why RAL colours are not inside the default libraries? Copyright issue?)
I have a font that I downloaded afte looking at over 300 fonts and finding the one I needed. Now, Photoshop won't allow me to import it. It keeps telling me that it's the wrong type of file. I've imported it into word but, I can't seem to get it into photoshop. download another file to open the zip file because that didn't work.
I created some graphics with text using Arial Narrow Bold in PS CS before I reformatted the HD on the same machine with the same XP OS disk. When I reinstalled Arial Narrow didn't appear in the Fonts list but was in the Windows Fonts List and available to other Folders. I am running XP, not Vista.I have tried dragging Arial Narrow into Program FilesCommon FilesAdobeFonts etc to no avail. I have also tried removing and reinstalling the Arial Narrow fonts without success. I have not worked out how to edit the Adobe Fonts File to include Arial Narrow.I have reinstalled CS, trialled CS3, and even reinstalled an earlier version of PS 7 which used to support Arial Narrow as a dedicated font, but not any more.Granted, in PS CS3 you can select Arial, then select <Narrow> in the adjacent drop down menu, but you can't select Arial Narrow Bold which makes it impossible to edit or alter the text in the earlier graphic that I created, something that is essential for either letterheads or business cards. If anybody has a fix on how to be able to create / edit / alter Arial Narrow Bold in either PS CS or PS7 I would be very grateful.
Coreldraw has a user-selectable option to export text "As text" (with or without font embedding) or "As curves". But if the text has a transparency applied to it, then Coreldraw always exports it as curves regardless.
This is a bug. The SVG spec clearly states that text is painted like any other path and so can have SVG opacity applied to it.
We have several similar installation in our office, but I am the only one with this problem. All of the annotative text on drawings is unreadable because it is jumbled - in this case Helvetica. We have upgraded clean install from AutoCad 2010 to 2014 - no luck. We reinstalled all of the fonts in both the system and AudtoCad (TrueType and SHX files) - no luck. Changing size or scale - no luck. I have not seen this specific issue before and don't have font issues in any other program.
See attached image - typical of all text on drawing, even within blocks.
I am trying to set the text style of a DB Text object.
The following code fails when it gets to the line where I try to set the text style (this is done using VB.NET 4.0 and AutoCAD 2012 64-bit).
Error reads as follows:
Method not found: 'Void
Autodesk.AutoCAD.DatabaseServices.DBText.set_TextStyle (Autodesk.AutoCAD.DatabaseServices.ObjectId)'. Dim acDoc As Document = Autodesk.AutoCAD.ApplicationServices.Application.DocumentManager.MdiActiveDocument [code].......
In CD X5 is there a "PLACE" feature similar to what Illustrator has to import a PDF into a document without opening or checking for fonts. I've used the import feature in CD but that always scan the pdf for fonts and compatibility.
When I type the TEXT command, even in a new (empty) drawing, I get the error message "The current text style is not valid" in reference to the <STANDARD> style.
This happens randomly when AutoCAD is started the first time after the computer is turned on, but If I close and reopen Autocad, the error always appears.
