I know for certain that I used to be able to increase/decrease text size in the iLogic code editor window, possibly with the ctrl + mouse scrollwheel similar to many other programs.
I tried showing this to a coworker this morning, and discovered it doesn't work any more. Was this functionality removed in IV2012?
I will start to explain what I want. I want to place an iLogic component in an assembly. When I place the component a window should appear where I can enter some dimensions. That's it basically.
I have created a user form in VBA. With two fields for dimensions, an OK and Cancel button. There is no code behind it because I don't know what to place. The code in the form should send the filled in value to the user parameter in the model. e.g. "width: 50mm" to WIDTH.
I have an iLogic component with its parameters.
I have IV 2011. And studied the iLogic examples. But the part where I'm interested in is hidden in the .dll file which is used for reference.
My Material Editor Appearance preview window is empty as you can see on attached picture.
All read only and custom libraries are represented in this way.
I am having a lag problem when quickly zooming in or using the selection window quickly. When quickly picking a window from left to right the first pick point lags and I would select some thing else. Iam using Cad 2012. Is there a command setting that has changed from Cad 2011 to 2012 ??

View 4 Replies View RelatedI decided to go ahead with the upgrade at $29 and then immediately installed the SP1. Well now I have an issue that I didn't have before. When I use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out the window does not resize anymore along with the image itself (not using tabbed mode), there are settings in preference just for this type of action so the window should resize with the image while zooming if the settings are checked properly. I did a reset and reinstall without any results. Of course the reinstall includes the updated version now so I can't be sure if the SP1 is the cause or not.
The only thing different since my free trial period is I updated Windows 8 - 8.1 and installed the SP1. Any issue with or without W8.1 or after installing SP1?
I'm trying to edit some material properties before rendering. But suddenly, I can no longer open up the Material Edit window. I searched and it said to look where it was last opened. Ok, I did that because I was using it this morning. But then it disappeared for good and I cannot figure out how to re-open it. I've cold booted my computer and restarted AutoCAD but the results are the same. So what am I missing. This copy is AutoCAD 2013 and it has SP1 and SP2 loaded.
UPDATE: OK...something weird happened. I finally found it but it was hidden beneath the other icons which I have anchored on the left. I was only able to get to it by carefully placing my mouse on a piece of it and dragging it out into the model space. So, what gives and how can I avoid this in the future?
I'm trying to change the BOM structure of some sub-assemblies from "Normal" to "Phantom". However, some are displayed as disabled and therefore do not allow any changes/overrides. How can I enable these in the BOM?

I opened a file I had been working on yesterday on a different Mac, and got the error message: "3D functionality is currently disabled due to OpenGL being disabled." I am currently using MacBook Pro (2008), running Mac OS 10.9, using PhotoShop CC. I've already looked at Ps Preferences>Performance and I see this.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have used a few times 'Stress analysis' before. Today I discovered it is disabled. I applied a software update (SP1, build 222), after which I could run a Stress analysis again. However, Inventor crashed soon, and after restarting it, Stress analysis is disabled again. In 'Add-In Manager' the 'Simulation: Stress analysis' is shown as 'Automatic/Loaded'.
UPDATE: I have unchecked the 'Load Automatically' option for this module, quit Inventor, started it again, loaded the module and now it seems to work. I don't know yet for how long...
UPDATE2: well I could start a Stress analysis, but everything is disabled there, I can not create a simulation for example.
Is there a way to drag pics right off the desktop into the editor window instead of using control -O; open???

It's not displaying the contours within my collection I must've tripped off setting for displaying them but I can't find where that setting is, or if it's even available anymore? I don't believe I've used it since CS 3 or4. I'm using CS6 now but contours seems to have changed.
I cannot close my editor window /screen in elements11 as it seems to be frozen and chimes everytime I hit a key.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a text editor window in Illustrator similar to Freehand? I want to be able to edit text without constantly having to zoom in so that I can see the text, then zoom out again to see the whole page.
In Freehand, you could select a Preference that would open a Text Editor window that was consistant in size no matter what the zoom level was. You could opt to show the text in 12pt Helvetica or in the actual font and size. This was enormously useful in organizing and shaping the size of the text.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I zoom in on a drawing, certain parts of the drawing will just disappear. Dimensions, title block, text...it doesn't matter, its different every time. It's not all the time but when it happens it's frustrating. Try dimensioning a part that isn't visible! When I zoom out to a full page view it always returns. When I zoom in again, parts will disappear. See attached screen captures and you will see the same file at different moments.

I have two monitors and would like to be able to have another window / view open on the other monitor.
The title just about says it all. I usually edit in Full Editor mode, but normally there is an Explorer-like ribbon running across the bottom, much like the one in Express Lab. I opened PSP ProX3 today and it was gone. I'm guessing it disappeared when i did some editing for my daughter in a non-standard (for me) mode.
How do I get it back? I swear I have hunted and even RTFM'd.
I am trying to use a shared project with my other colleagues. Problem we are having that we are not getting into how to change the File Check in/out Status (option is disabled/greyed) . Do we required administrative rights to do that?
Note: We don't have vault.
When zooming in and out using the mouse wheel, the increments used in zooming are rather course.
I've tried changing the windows mouse options to no effect within Inventor. I've also looked around the application settings and could not readily find any options which adjusts zooming increment.
Is there even such an option, or am I out of luck on this one?
So recently I started making something in Inventor, and like most programs you can press the middle mouse button and it will pan or orbit. Well I'm pretty sure that in the past if I pressed the middle mpuse button it would pan or orbit. But now it is zooming all for the model, and only when it is zoomed to the whole model does it let me pan or rotate. If I were to zoom in on a line for example and wanted to pan to the right, it zooms me out to the whole model, and then I can pan. I have tried multiple mouse buttona all combinations of shift ctrl and alt and middle mosue, but nothing is working. How can I make it so it does not zoom all when clicking the middle mouse?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to use iLogic Design Copy to copy an assembly and all its associated parts to another directory. The assembly contains content center parts. Inventor warns me that the destination file of one of the CC parts (and 18 others) will be overwritten. When I go ahead and copy anyway, the copying process stops at that specific CC part. The Design Copy Progress dialog box states there is an error copying that CC part. When I close the Design Copy Progress dialog box, Inventor crashes.
The error copying the CC part: I'm allowed to use content center parts in iLogic Design Copied stuff, right? I searched some related topics and I'm under the impression that Inventor keeps the CC parts in its own directory and shouldn't be trying to overwrite them.
We've just started using an attribute in a dynamic block and I'm curious if there is a faster way to edit the text, like how you just click outside the dtext or mtext editor to save and exit. the editor.
We only need to edit the value field, not any of the other attritubes. I really like how the dynamic block is saving us some time, but the outdated editor is really irritating, and it's not always convenient to hit Tab then Enter on the keyboard.
Is there perhaps an alternate editor, or a way I can edit the value text in the mtext editor by default rather than opening up the Enhanced Attribute Editor?

I have Autodesk Inventor 2011 and I cannot open the VBA Editor. I have tried to reinstall inventor and that has not worked. I have already looked at this thread and tried some of the solutions but none of them have worked. The Inventor32bitHost.exe starts up and then closes once I click the button. I have Windows 64-bit professional.

In the projects folder there is supposed to be Projects called iLogic 2011 Samples, iLogic 2011 Tutorials, iLogic 2012 Samples, Railing iLogic Sample Advanced, and Railing iLogic Sample Base. None of these PROJECTS show up in my projects editor. Do I have to completely uninstall and reinstall Inventor 2014 to get these projects to hopefully load?

Once they were in the CC I setup the proper code allowing these members when placed in an assembly to show up as shown in the parts list.
Now sometimes when the member is an odd length it will show up with the decimal places in the part number (i.e. P1001--46.621) This is fine when it comes to the part number showing up as a decimal. In the description we are now wanting to show this in fractional form such that 46.621 in the part number shows up as 46-5/8 in the description.
When I edit the family table for these members, specifically the columns that house this coding, I am not seeing anywhere on how to change this. Does this can be done and if so what the coding is to accomplish this? Without changing the global units of the drawing?
