AutoCAD 2013 :: Fatal Error With DGN File Reference
Aug 27, 2013
AutoCAD 2014 creating "fatal error unhandled access violation reading 0x0010 exception at 65e3f417h" while attempting to reload a MicroStation file that worked previously in dwg.
When AutoCAD is closed and I try to open a drawing from the Windows Explorer I get a fatal error and when AutoCAD is opened before opening the file from Windows Explorer everything works fine. We have this problem with several stations at our office.
I recently installed Autocad 2014 with Carlson Survey 2014. When I use Etransmit or file conversion i get a Fatal Error. when i uninstall the civil 3d object enabler, the problem goes away, but i need the object enabler and i need to convert files. Is this not a major issue that Autodesk would consider important enough to address, or is the object enabler minor in comparison to other issues?
why when i want to import file sketchup by type "IMPORTSKP" in commadline box, i can't import file sketchup into autocad because AutoCad Error Aborting and fatal error, and after that my autocad suddenly closed by it self, so i can't use my auto cad.
I'm getting a fatal error everytime I click on the hatch command on the home ribbon and then just press ESC before I do anything. This happens on command.. everytime. AutoCAD LT 2013 to see if they also get the same error.
I have a user with AutoCAD 2013 installed on his work laptop. It is a Dell with Windows 7 64-bit. We don't have local IT any more and he was having problems with the computer, which is only 6 months old, so he had to send it from Michigan to Massachusettes, where our Global IT resides.
They "Imaged" the hard drive, installed a new hard drive and put the "Image" on the new hard drive. and sent it back without making sure things worked.
Now when he starts AutoCAD 2013 (vanillia), the Splash screen comes up and then he gets a Fatal Error. I have attached a capture of the error.
When he first got it back there were no drivers installed for his nVidia Quadro 1000M card, so he could not use his 2nd monitor. He found the driver and installed it and now he can use the 2nd monitor, but still had the problem with AutoCAD.
I have tried to import a DGN file into AutoCAD 2013 both plain jane and the verticals. I am trouble shooting at the moment gathering more information but so far this is happening to me and another computer in a different office as well.
today i had the third crash of Acad 2013 since i have installed it on my pc (I7-2600k 64 bit, 16g ram 250gb ssd /2gb hard drive, nvidia quadro 4000 graphics card) and whenever i try a and start Acad it comes up with "fatal error unhandled exception etc etc) after searching the web all i could do was reset to autocad defaults from the start menu but in turn i lost all my settings menus etc. is it my PC or software?
I have a Win7 X64 PC running C3D 2103. I recelty installed this for the first time and am seeing the following error message when I launch the application.
I've tried to do a repair and still get the message.
Everytime AutoCAD 2014 shuts down I get a fatal error with the d3b42920h. It doesn't seem to be the drawing that is erroring because it doesn't ask for a recovery file to be saved, but the program it'self.
When SDI is set to 1 everytime you open a new drawing the error occurs.
We do have a company wide network deployment with customised settings for over 40 machines and it only happens on certain machines. I don't want to restore default settings as and re-load our company settings on every machine this happens.
When I open my particular file and begin working AutoCad crashes. Then posts this " fatal error: unhandled e06d7363h Exception at fe07cacdh" then does "Autocad cannot continue. You can attempt to save changes into the following file up to the start of the last command: ....."
Every time I try to open my baloon notification settings AutoCAd 2013 Architecture crashes and gives me this error: Fatal Error: Unhandled e0434352h Exception at fd51940dh. I find this particularly odd because I changed my settings once on this machine not too long ago but it's not working now. I'm going to:
When ever I try to modify a hatch from a previous version I get a fatal error message and the program shuts down. I have opened the same files in 2012 and have no problem changing the hatch patterns.
so i've been getting this pop up window everytime i try to open autocad today. yesterday night i was using it fine.now whenever i try to open the program, it says "fatal error unhandled access violation reading b14c4b12h"..i sent an error report to autodesk and they suggested a patch. and after restarting my pc its still not working.
i have win8.1 with autocad2014.it pisses me off koz i have school assignments to do and it's not working
Users using Windows 7 -64bit with Architecture 2014
Mapped drives are used for both site to access NAS, but use different drive letters.
At one point working the projects, users starting getting fatal errors opening from the share. All attempts to get past this failed and I thought the drawing or base files were corrrupt. However, when the files are moved locally to workstation and opened without issue. The users in one office are now working off this files using UNC \serverproject...
The interesting thing, is that users in the other office have no issues dealing with these drawings using on the NAS. The only difference is the WAN and drive mapping letter. This is how they have always worked and never had this issue. The only other thing I will add is they upgraded from 2010 two months ago, but no problems with any other projects.
Every time I attempt to insert a block with an attribute in it from my tool pallet I get the error FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Acess Violation Reading 0x0020 Exception at 4260af08u.
If I insert a block without attributes it works fine. I even tried building a block in 2013 and then inserting it from the toolpallet, still fatal error's out.
Inserting blocks from Design Center into model space causes the fatal error: access violation message to pop up.
This never happened in 2012, and I used it from day one.
My livelihood as a 2D drafting student depends on being able to use the blocks from DesignCenter, and now all of a sudden (I've been using 2013 since the day it released with no problems at all until about a week ago) it crashes every time I try to insert a block, regardless of which method I choose to insert with (i.e. right click insert or dragging into the model space window).
I'm on an Alienware M17x R3 running Windows 7 Home Premium with a Quad-core intel i7 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GTX 560M 1.5GB graphics chip.
I've tried system restore, program repair, clean uninstalls, and none of it fixes the problem. It seems that once the levee broke, so to speak, the bug is there to stay. Or perhaps more accurately, it was there the entire time and it was only a matter of time before it surfaced.
In either case, I would love, after having been a guinea pig, to see a patch issued for this if possible. Not being able to use the sample dynamic blocks is hell. Barring a patch sometime soon, I'm strongly leaning towards going back to 2012, which worked like a charm.
If you create a group, after that select it and click on the insertion point (grip) using a lot of time the space bar (to switch between move, rotate, scale and mirror) after a while autocad crash.
Tested in AutoCAD 2013 and 2014 in more the one installation.
We just installed 2014 on two work stations and saved a few Civil 3D files with it. When we try to open these Civil 3D drawings in 2013 they crash with a FATAL ERROR.
The last few lines on the command line shows: Loading Modeler DLLs.
Modeling Operation Error: Operation unsuccessful.
Modeling Operation Error: Operation unsuccessful.
This error seems to only happen with drawings that have infill grading. I tested it with a drawing with just poly lines and it worked fine. I then converted those poly lines into feature lines using 2014 and it opened fine in 2013. I then added an infill to the feature line region in 2014 and it crashes in 2013.

We're running Autodesk Product Design Suite Premium 2013 on computers specficially designed by chaps so they meet the required spec (Windows 7).For two months we have been running this product without any problem however over the weekend we moved offices and the computers have been "poked about" by the IT support team as they moved servers / changed admin rights / drank coffee. This problem however is only affecting the one computer - the other is running fine so I assume they've not broken anything.
It ran on Tuesday til Thursday without any problems however this morning AutoCAD is having an abortion hissy fit (fifth crash in two hours) and I am getting:
"Fatal Error: unhandled access violation 0xffffffff exception at e47fde0ah" crashing the system while moving lines on a very simple AutoCAD 2D drawing (500kb). This
I've turned Aero Theme off and am running no other computer programmes (CPU sits at 13% when it crashes and doesn't spike).
I have downloaded ArcGrid (ADF) files from the USGS and am trying to define a TIN surface in Civil 3D with those files. I have done this in the past without difficulty but now I get a fatal error and the system crashes in the middle of the process. The ADF files are large, approximately 465 meg, and cover an entire USGS quad area. Is there any tricks or sollutions that would allow me to use this data source to create surfaces without my system crashing?
The system I am using is a Dell Intel Xeon CPU, W365@3.20GHz with 24 GB RAM, 64 Bit OS.
