I have decided I don't want to have callout blocks in the sheet set. How do I remove this option from my sheet set template? I am hoping I will not need to re-enter all my custom properties in a new template just to not have the callout block.

But when I go to sheet views and right click a view, only the 1st callout block that I used is available under place callout block.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having difficulty figuring out how to get my detail callout block to work properly. What I would like the block to do is scale/stretch the circle so a larger area can be detailed. Linked to this function I would like the attributed tag with line to stay on the outside of the circle once it's adjusted.
Another function I can't figure out is rotating the the text/line so it can be located anywhere around the circle. I currently have a vertical and horizontal flip but the attributed text doesn't remain on top of the line. So, I guess there are 2 things I can't get to work in that one.

I am having a problem opening older sheet sets from AutoCAD 2014.
I can select the .dst file, but when it "opens" I onlly have the icon in the seet set manager and nothing else, it is entirely blank.
I made a new sheet set, but now older versions of AutoCAD cannot read that one.
I am using AutoCAD 2013 and I working on a project of approxamitely 80 pages and I have a Sheet Set Manager set up.There are about 40 pages that have text saying Continuation on Sheet XX of YY. I managed to use a field for the total count (YY) however I need to link the XX to the another drawing. I have researched and failed miserably.

I have entered the custom properties, then when I go to the title block and try to insert the fields with current sheet set custom the drop down box is empty and then when I try to type in the custom property name the link still does not function. Is there some trick that I'm missing, or is this function broken on AutoCad 2013?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm fairly new to Autocad and getting used to using sheet set manager. What I'm experiencing is, when you insert a model view it brings in an xref of that model, but i'm then unsure how to add additional xref models into the same view.
For example I have a separate ground floor plan file and OS data file which I want to show in the one sheet view without nesting the OS data to the original ground floor file.
I received a file that has a large number of blocks with unnamed blocks inside. I need them all to be by layer, and i really don't want to explode it.
How can I can do it?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have run into a problem with AutoCAD 2010 while trying to copy paste within 2 different drawings. Copying blocks from 1 sheet to another causes this error message "_pasteclip *Invalid*" It wont let me copy in the blocks. Sometimes after that happens all i need to do is a regen command and it fixes it. Other times im forced to switch to model space and then back to paperspace which then lets me paste the objects. This is not isolated to my computer, it happens on other computers here in the office.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWe recently updated all of our software at my company from 2010 architectural desktop to 2013 autocad. We do a lot of architectural work where we use the "wall" functions to draw our floorplans. I have noticed that the walls are disappearing on some files and not on others. Or we will only be able to see the outside line of the wall, but not the interior, which results in an undesirable appearance to the floorplans.
I have also run across these error messages when opening the files, I dont know if they are related or not:
"Unhandled exception C0000005 (access violation reading 0xffffffff) at address E43AA180h"
and
"Unhandled exception C0000005 (access violation reading 0xffffffff) at address D41218AEh"
On my border, I have a compass with a rotation parameter to rotate the angle for north. How to set this angle from a field in the sheet set manager?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am attempting to create a series of drawing templates in Inventor 2013.
I have successfully created four unique Sheet Formats with Border, Title Blocks, Revision Table, and text populated by iProperties.
I have a bunch of text that I want to have inside a square on the first page of a series of drawings. I draw the square in sketch mode, Create Sheet Format, and the sketch ends up as a separate AutoCAD Block ("SheetTemplates_XXX_Sketch1") rather than in the Sheet Format. I can place the block on the new sheet, but it can be placed anywhere as the block floats.
In fact, some of the things I've found online refer that you cannot automatically replace entire Titleblock Templates for existing Sheets in the Sheet Set Manager. So, here's my question:
Can you replace all existing Sheets in a Sheet Set with an entirely new Template file automatically, without opening each Sheet and re-inserting the Title block?
Example:
Let's say I have a Sheet Set. Inside the Sheet Set, I already have 20 sheets created. I then realize that my Template file is missing our company logo. I then have to open the Template file and insert my company logo. Well, this works for all newly created sheets from that point forward, but how can I get this change to automatically populate in the existing 20 Sheets that are already in the Sheet Set?
I'm having an error with Ilogic parameters.I just wanna change the border and the title blocks with Ilogic. This should be simple. Isn't this?

I accidentally click/dragged the sheet set manager palette really quickly and it totally vanished...The thing is I googled this, and every solution involved going to the CUI, expanding "Palettes" in the workspace and realigning it etc
However there is no Sheet set manager in my palettes menu..Is it called something other than "sheet set manager"?Also I've tried typing every command, even did a repair install.
My company just purchased AutoCAD 2013 and I'm in the process of converting our titleblock to work with the sheet set manager. Here are my steps I've taken:
1. Edit existed titleblock to add fields. Example: set our existing project name field to "CurrentSheetSetProjectName"
2. Create a sheet set using the titlbock DWT as my template for new sheets.
3. Typed "Test" into the default project name field that is created with new sheet sets
4. Clicked "Update fields" in the ribbon
After following those steps, I expected the project name to update to "Test". Am I missing something?
At first I thought it was user error, but its happening while I'm editing the sheet set.
As I'm numbering the sheets, it gets stuck and won't allow me to advance to the next sheet. Next thing I know the sheet is greyed out and then the DWG file disappears from the foolder. Different sheet sets, different jobs, different drives on the network.
having major issues with sheet sets in Autocad 2013 (actually we're using Autocad MEP 2013... but haven't gotten any responses to my post over in that forum so trying it here too). We use them constantly, and up til now they've worked great. In 2013, we can't get a .dst file to stay valid for more than 2 hours. You can create them & work with them just fine, but once you close & reopen AMEP it says the .dst is invalid, and it creates a new .dst of the same name in the same directory w/ 0kb file size. After that, nothing works... view names, sheet titles, etc., everything that is driven off the sheet set. And of course every time you have to recreate a sheet set, you have to recreate every detail callout, sheet title, detail title, etc. in the set of drawings.
We've installed AMEP 2013 SP1, doesn't make a difference.
All of our machines are Win7 Pro, mixed 32- & 64-bit, with plenty of processor/memory/graphics capability. Our standardization stuff runs off of our network/NAS drive.
I am trying to solve a problem. My company uses AutoCAD 2013. We set up a sheet set manager template that has custom properties linked to fields in an attribute block. Now we want to finish configuring a sheet list table. The problem is that we cannot get the sheet list table to look the way we want it.
In the sheet list table we add the drawing number, the revision, and then three titles (all from left to right). The three titles come from three separate attributes in the title block. The titles say the discipline (electrical) then the system type, then the particular drawing itself. We want to figure out how if possible, to have these three separate attributes in the same sheet list table cell.
We tried to do a multi-line text, which did place all three titles into one table cell, but then had issues with the multi-line text placing the three different titles into position on the title block.
Subject pretty much sums it up. AutoCAD will crash 8 out of 10 times when I close a sheet set. This problem just recently started and the only thing I've installed was AutoCAD Map 3D.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am frustrated at the design of sheetsets. There is no way to "lock" sheets to a particular sheet set.
When I have a sheet open with a sheet set verything is great but, if I close that sheet and open another w/o closing the sheet set, the new dwg will associate all of its fields with the other sheet set. Is there a way to lock the sheets with a sheet set? OR is there a way to automatically close a sheetset that is associated with a a file or files when they are closed?
I have been sent a drawing of a building site plan...how do i cut out the area i need and then copy that new area into a new sheet
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy autocad gets a fatal error unhandled exeption error and crashes when I etransmit from the sheet set manager. it hangs for awhile then crashes, and I have to close the application. This is a very xref heavy job with files from all diciplines culminating to create a zip file for the project. It worked with Acad 2012, took a long time, but worked. By the way this is accross all our our new AutoCAD 2013 installations who try to transmit from this project. I've tried others and it works fine. Just this project. Is there any way to recover the shet set dst file?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI thought when a person uses a field named CREATEDATE it would be a creation date time stamp. When creating a new drawing by layout and you check the creation date by using the time command you get the correct date of creation. The Sheet set manager field called CREATEDATE is not consistant. If I save the drawing this field changes the date to the current date. So I ask is this a flaw or should the field be renamed to lastsaveddate? Just asking because when I look for the Create Date I need the date I actually created the drawing not the last time I saved it. Just saying.
