AutoCAD 2010 :: Pixilated Image On Export To PDF?
Mar 28, 2012
when exporting drawings to pdf, i get pixilated images of my drawings. though not all of the items are pixilated. the ones that are pixilated are the items in the viewport with conceptual visual style and SE view.
i tried scaling the linetypes but nothing happens,i really dont have any clue on this one. by the way the other items are made by "solid view procedure"
i also tried the solid profile but the drawing has many broken lines. so I wanted only to have a isometric view of the item as a overview.

i've managed to layer a scanned drawing (and edit it and all) over the given template... but when i drag it over, it's HUGE. so of course, i haev to decrease the size so it fits on the t shirt template...
and when i decrease the size, it gets grainy and pixilated... and i can't have that happen! especially on a t shirt design... it's supposed to be a a solid, single line...

We recently got a couple new computers and now any gray line or gray hatch plots out pixilated. Even when I make a PDF the anything gray comes out pixilated. The old machines in the office plot fine, I just have not been able to find a setting to change on the new computers.

I have a client who updated to AutoCAD Arch 2014 and now is having trouble with his grey lines printing pixilated.
He is using the same .ctb file from 2013 (moved up from 2012) also his pc3 file (from 2012). When he moved to 2013 he had this issue and went back to his 2012 pc3 and everything was working fine again.
So when he had the issue in 2014 he started using the 2012 pc3 file. But this time - no change.

This is actually a fireworks quetion, but I can use photoshop as well if it works better there. I've seen people asking questions dealing with transparent png files and the fact that text becomes very pixilated, as I have found.
Earlier suggestions were to create slices and simply create more gif files. I really don't want to do this though. I would like to use the transparent pngs, I just want them to look good. Is there a way I can export these images (not thinking about size right now) where they will look good?
Point me in the direction of a previous thread where this was answered if I glossed over it.

I'm wondering why all my vector images are rendering pixilated in my CC CS6 Illustrator (v 17.1). I'm using a macbook with retina and am assuming that's the issue but can't find any info on what settings/etc I need to adjust/download to make it display properly.

For a while now I've been struggling to understand why my Gradient Tool is like this? I don't recall making any changes to it in the past and now it's stuck like this. I've searched high and low online for answers but I've been unsuccessful so far.

I've got a dodgy Google Earth screenshot that I've chucked into CAD to scale it (approximately) and more importantly align it to the correct coordinate system as per the survey. However, I need to use that image in another modelling program (which only accepts image files).
Question is - is it possible to export just an image from Autocad back to an image file? I obviously don't want to plot the entire drawing to PDF/BMP or anything, simply extract the image that I have resized. Or any other way of getting an image from Google Maps or the like and scaling it correctly?

I normally do my traditional drawing with orhtographic views. in conjunction with this, I use flatshot to create the required drawings. but then when I export my drawing. I encoutered this annoying problem. my dimensions aare there but my flatshot drawing is not visible. need to end this problem once and for all. I'm new to this export thing. so I dont have much exposure on this field.

I've looked through some of the other threads but haven't seen a good or easy answer for this one. We export our DWG's to PDF and it keeps all the layers that are on. Is it possible to export the DWG to PDF and have the PDF show layers that were turned off in the PDF? Our drawing are easily changed to include beveled glass or a raised panel, some customers want this while others don't, we currently have to create a seperate DWG for each version of this. We'd like to prodce the DWG to PDF, and in the PDF have the option of turning on the layers.

I'm trying to export 3D models from AutoCAD 2011 to AutoMod Simulation software. However, every different export filetype that I try does not allow me to bring the model into AutoMod and still have the colors that the model had in AutoCAD. For example, If I create a car and it has several colors for the metal, the wheels, and the windshield, it brings it over as a single block, all in red. I'm not sure how to fix this. In the old models, I used to use 3DSOUT command, but that doesn't look like an option any longer.

We are instaling Windows 8 this evening and I am trying to export the settings from C3D/map 2011.1) Is it possible to export your setup, which would capture a screenshot, so thal your toolbars and menus that you have set can be imported into your 2011 re-install? 2) In Options the Profile "Export" is the setup for your File path defaults under "Options" "File"? 3) SYSDVLG will export all my default settings, which I can import into my initial "Drawing 1" after re-install?

I cannot open AutoCAD 2010 because there is an "Export in Progress". A window pops up that says, "The license for this product is currently being exported. You may not use a product whose license has been or is being exported. To use this product, import the license back to this computer when the export has completed."
After talking to my technical department at the office, I confirmed that no one was trying to export the license on my laptop. I'm not sure how this has happened. Did I or someone mistakenly hit export on my computer? I have never seen this before.
With this, is there a way to stop the license export process? It appears that I can resume work if the process is cancelled. Please note that I do not have admin privileges.

I'm using the exporttoautocad command to convert a 3D drawing with a proposed surface (a TIN object) into a drawing with just contours (polylines with elevations). My original drawing is in feet and has a NAD83 state plane coordinate system.
Everything seems great in the exported dwg, except it is converting the elevation units from feet to inches!? A contour that was originally at an elevation of 7.0 feet, ends up at 7 inches in the exported drawing. Spatial coordinates are preserved.

I recently changed PCs and installed AutoCAD 2012 to the new machine. I was working on a patent and exported to PDF like I always do. The problem is that when I do that it automatically opens up the pdf in Acrobat after I've exported. I want to turn that feature off. I export dozens and dozens so the opening of every pdf would be very cumbersome.

I just had to rebuild a large toolbar after upgrading to Autocad 2011. I had to scroll through the old version's MNU file to locate and extract the information. Then I had to copy/paste the information from the text to the new toolbar. Luckily I had the Icon bitmaps saved and didn't have to recreate them.
Is there a way to export the code from a custom toolbar that can then be imported into another version or copy of Autocad?

I'm using AutoCAD 2010 32bit on Windows XP with built-in video - so no hardware rendering, etc. I have a situation where a 3D solid that I have created looses its fillets while creating a PDF.
The solid was built using Union, Subtraction, Slicing and Fillet operations. I have attached the DWG and two PDFs - one with fillets, the other without. Both PDFs were created within moments of each other from the same DWG. Notice in the DWG that the solid model has rounded edges (fillets) along most edges, but they are missing in the bad PDF, and show in the good PDF. I create the PDFs using ACAD's Output | Export PDF feature on a single Layout in Paperspace. When the PDF is generating, for about two seconds you see the solid edges loose their fillets, and then sometimes return to normal, but other times the DWG changes and I have to add the fillets again.
BTW: I tried a fresh OS and ACAD install and problem persists.

Is this functionality still available. I have seen several threads that mention it being available on some people layer manager, but I don't have it on either. See attachment. I remember there being a registry key you could add or change to the tools, but when I did that I always got two errors in drawings that would appear every audit.

I never saw it prior to installing SP2 on 2012... (currently downloading SP2.1 to see if it fixes the issue...)
I have two viewports on the same sheet, one at 1"=30', and one at 1"=100'. Cogo Point symbols/labels will print correctly on one viewport, but not on the other. It seems to be related to whichever one I went into last. If I go into the main viewport at 1"=30', then the Cogo Point labels/symbols in the 1"=100' viewport turn very tiny when issuing "Export to Autocad 2010". If I go into the 1"=100' viewport last, then the Cogo Point labels/symbols in the other viewport blow up into huge gigantic things.
I've NEVER seen this behavior before. It's getting incredibly frustrating, since our client requires a plain AutoCAD 2010 drawing, and the Export feature is flat-out not working anymore. And if I try exploding Cogo Points prior to exporting, then they disappear from the Point Table.

I have been trying to export my annotation settings using the profile function on Autocad 2010. I can't get it to work, and I don't think this is the best way to achieve my goal. I've made a template file, but I don't know how to import it.
My goal is to, as quickly as possible, give 8 drawings the same annotation settings.

I've recently had to export DWG files to PDF and the lines print in black whether they are angled/curved or straight. The problem I'm experiencing is that a number of objects that have been rotated at an angle or lines that are curved appear dark grey on the screen in PDF format. I'm using the DWG to PDF. pc3 with monochrome setting selected. I've checked the Plot Style Table Editor and all colours have been selected to print 'black'; greyscale is 'off' and screening is at 100%. Is this a 'bug' or is there a fix for this problem?
