Ex: I draw a Circle, and a line , ( in VBA).

Next, I want draw a new line between center of Circle and Endpoint of Line . If I can use Grapping Point in VBA, it will be more easy.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Matching Up Point Clouds Using Alignment Tool / Smooth Object From Point Cloud

May 30, 2012

how to match up certain points. I have imported 2 point clouds and have tried to use the 'align' tool to specify three points from the source object (cloud) and three points from the destination object (cloud). When doing this, it does not properly align them. The point cloud makes it difficult to select the exact point I would like to align, since there may not be a point at that exact location, but close to it. Does AutoCAD require the points in alignment to match up perfectly or is it capable of doing a best fit?

Also, is AutoCAD capable of creating a solid 3D piece from the point cloud? I would like to take all of my points and make a smooth object.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Point Of Intersection

May 9, 2013

Isn't there a command that allows you to pick 2 lines and snap to the point of intersection when dimensioning an object with a fillet/chamfer? Typically I o-track it with apparent intersection with no issues, but its a little more difficult when your working with sloped lines, tracking doesnt like to follow angled lines. (Maybe its inventor that I'm think of that can do this?)

AutoCAD 2010 :: Can't Snap To Intersection Point

Jul 10, 2012

Form Autocad 2000 to 2012, there is always with this problem. It happens sometimes in object snap, it does not work to snap a intersection point (two crossed lines) when drawing a line or arc or others. For sure, these two lines are in the same plan and can be filleted or chamfered. So I turned on the Apparent intersection, it works with apparent intersection point, I am not sure if this apparent intersection will cause other problem. I am working on pure 2-D drawing, do not want to get any 3D objects inside the drawing.

AutoCAD 2010 :: How To Stretch A Line That Have A Point

Apr 24, 2013

I accidentally got constraints in my present drawing and could not get rid of them. pls give me a hand on how to delete them. it is causing me a problem when for example i need to stretch a line that have a point (which makes part of the line) the point moves together with the line which means the original coordinate of the point is lost. THIS MUST NOT HAPPEN. i work with precise coordinates which means the coordinates of points should be kept as originals and NOT TO MOVE ELSEWHERE.

I notice i was using the multiple stretch with C option when I noticed the problem started and after that i had constraints sticked on all the lines.

How to get rid of constraints?

AutoCAD 2010 :: Distance Command Using Y Point Filters?

Mar 4, 2010

I use point filters allot when measuring distances. I noticed today using Full CAD 2010 that when i measured a distance (Say 2m) using a "Y" point filter, between two objects not directly below one another the answer i got was wrong. It seemed to give me the distance of where my crosshairs where at the time of finishing the command.

I have tried this on another full system of CAD 2010 and a light version. Problem occurs on all.

I know that if you just measure between the points CAD will give you the (-Y) answer in the command line, but using point filters is an old habbit hard to kick.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Changing 0.050 Dia Circles To Two Lines (x On The Center Point)

Feb 19, 2013

change all circles of a certain diameter in a .dxf file to points. I received the following lisp file. For the last 10-12 years it has worked great. We create many custom sized parts that could be cut on a plasma (utilizing the circles for holes) or punched, assigning a crosshair tool to the point. Now we are switching to a laser, and want to etch a crosshair at this same location. Our solution has been to draw the crosshair and copy to each required location. Sometimes this may be 20 to 30 locations. Now I would like to know if there is a way to replace all of these circles with a crosshair. This could be a similar lisp file, or an easier manual operation. I know that I can select all of the circles using the filter command and specifying the radius. But I don't know how to assign the 'crosshair' to these locations. (defun c:ctopt ( / ename cnt ss) (setq ss (ssget "x" '((0 . "CIRCLE")))) (if ss (progn (setq cnt 0) (repeat (sslength ss) (setq ename (ssname ss cnt)) (if (equal (cdr (assoc 40 (entget ename))) 0.025 0.005) ;use this line for a radius 0.025 +/- 0.00015 ;(<= (cdr (assoc 40 (entget ename))) 0.05) ;use this line for a radius of 0.05 or less (progn (entmake (list '(0 . "POINT") (assoc 10 (entget ename))(assoc 8 (entget ename)))) (entdel ename) )) (setq cnt (1+ cnt)) ) ) ) (princ) )

AutoCAD 2010 :: Moving Multiple Objects With A Point Filter Macro?

Mar 1, 2013

I am attempting to do a macro that will allow me to select multiple objects and then move them in only ONE axis. For example, If I want to move a wall, the door and the window in the Y axis to align with another wall across the hall. I have attempted to do this in a button macro, but so far its limited. Here is the macro

^c^c_move;\.xz;@;

This will allow me to click the customized button, then select ONE object by a displacement, and it will only move it in the Y axis and allows me to choose the point with a mouse click of the final location.

When I try to select more than one object, it kicks me ahead in the commands and prompts for (needs Y). how I can figure out the correct macro?
