In Ch. 6: Practical Experience: Modeling A Red Wagon pg's 245-247 I am having an issue with panel A's wedged face getting distorted in level 3 smooth mesh preview. The book recommends adding edges using the Insert Edge Loop tool as a solution but for some reason the Insert Edge Loop tool doesn't loop around the body of panel A as it's supposed to.[URL]

Oct 10, 2012I was trained in Maya 2008, and recently made the leap to Maya 2013.
When I try to use the Insert Edge Loop Tool, it seems to only select an existing edge loop, and will not allow me to slide along an edge to place the new one. I have even tried to use the Insert Edge Loop Tool on a simple polygon cube, to make sure this isn't a complex mesh issue.

Everytime I need to insert some illustrations, I just click the mouse on the current drawing, I want the illustration inserted. These means the following points:
(1) Import the blocks to the current drawing, if the blocks have already been imported, then do nothing.
(2) Specify the insert point by clicking the mouse, and I want the block's insert point to coincide with the mouse clicking point.

Dec 11, 2013I have a simple snowflake animation where 4 different snowflakes are falling down the screen. These are all contained in a symbol which is set to loop. The goal is that when the user clicks a snowflake it will pause the animation, populate a popup text box (in another symbol) then resume playing after 5 seconds. I'm no expert with javascript and I've checked just about every resource I could find but can't seem to get it working. My initial thought was to do some kind of if/else statement that checks to see if the symbol is playing, then if it is, pause it for so long. I'm having a difficult time with the syntax.

Mar 13, 2014I have a continuously moving looping slide show that has back and next buttons. When you press the next button it should move forward one where ever it is on the timeline every time you click it and the same for the back button.
This is the code I am using but the the problem is that it goes to else {sym.play("one");} when the button is clicked. No matter where in the timeline the next button is clicked, it goes back to number one. I don't know much about coding and I have tried everything to fix this but I am stuck.

Nov 6, 2013My first time using Edge. I exported an html file from Muse & just wanted to animate some buttons on the page sliding in. But when I click on anything thats a button (from Muse) I get the Exception Error message "An error occured. Please save your work and restart Edge Animate"
It seems to happen to anything in the file that has more that one state. Is this something that I cant do in Edge?I've tried restarting. saving as a different file in a different location. uninstalling/re-installing Edge.
Not sure if it matters: The buttons that I'm trying to animate were not automatically created from a Muse Widget. I made the different states in Photoshop & imported as a photoshop button.

I want it to play itself (amoung other things) when clicked.
