AutoCad :: Draw A Bicycle Frame In 3D
Mar 26, 2012I am trying to draw a bicycle frame in 3D. What is the best functions to use? I first drew the frame in 2D using regular lines. Next I drew a circle at one of the intersection points, then used Sweep. I repeated the steps but with a smaller circle.
Next i was planning to Subtract the smaller tube with the large to create a tube but I am having trouble selecting to subtract to make a hollow tube. I'd like to evaluate to see if there is a easier way to draw so that it is easy to modify down the line.

Nov 5, 2012How can I create bicycle gears that have different numbers of teeth but all have an inter tooth distance (distance between the teeth centres) of 12.7mm?
My attempt at a solution and problems encountered:
I made a bicycle gear by patterning a small circle around a large circle then trimming lines (see attached sketch), but this method requires me to estimate the diameter of the large circle before patterning and then keep modifying this slightly until I get an intertooth distance as close as possible to 12.7mm. So I can't get exactly 12.7mm. In my sketch I have labelled this intertooth distance I refer to by construction lines.

Mar 28, 2012this is a stroke of a path of a bicycle sprocket with 32 teeth,after removing 4 teeth from 4 different parts(there is a pair of 2 different type of teeth after every 6 standard teeth,i want to remove 1 of these 6 in each of the 4 parts).
I do not know how to join up the open ends of the path to maintain the circular shape to produce a 28 tooth sprocket,the teeth size are not to change just the circle.

1. there are small gaps between these edges (edge set 1, maximum gaps is 25.16917 mm. edge set 2, maximum gaps is 25.16917mm)
2. runoff surfaces penetrate the porduct (surface 1, surface 2, until surface 6)

Dec 22, 2010For some scenes we have a chain which is wrapped around several cogs, just like a bicycle. In this scenario we need the chain links to follow the path and retain their relationship to each other.
In other scenes we have a chain which follows along a changing path. Imagine this if you can: A heavy weight has a chain attached which goes vertically up, over a pulley and down the other side where it is attached to a lorry. The lorry drives off pulling the weight upwards. This is my challenge!
Should I individually constrain the links using a Pin constraint and use dynamics completely to keep the chain taught?

I have 6 jpeg photos, and i bring them all into one. All photos are named different. After reading the forums, the next step is FILE>SAVEAS. Next, you select COMPUSERVE.gif. Once I select that, I have no idea where to go.

Jun 16, 2009In PS CS4.I am trying to make a .pdf to send to a printer. I do not know if the printer as CS4. Eventually I will ask, but..I made a pdf in Photoshop, basically using the High Quality print settings.Normally, when I open a pdf in Photoshop that was made in Photoshop I am able to see the layers, adjustment layers..etc..I tried opening this .pdf in Photoshop 7.0 & it had asked me to rasterize it with that dialog screen, although I did have Preserve Photoshop Editing Capabilities checked.

Jan 28, 2012I'm interested in creating an interactive 3D website, the kind you move the mouse to the left and the background slides to the right; mouseover on an object and it triggers an animation and so on. Basically I'd like to use my knownledge on Max as my main weapon and not Flash - I know nothing about Flash. I know there're some third party software that do the integration, but never explored it yet.

Feb 19, 2013I want to create a droplet in CS6 that I can drag lots of images to and simply have it resize those images and save them to a new folder. I create an action to change the image size and save the images to a folder as a .jpg. I then create a droplet based on this action. I tried several times to drag images onto the droplet, though as it goes through the images it prompts me with questions as it is saving the images, and it never actually saves the optimized images to a folder.

Sep 4, 2013I created a new file, set my sizes and all that, 8bit and began...I literally am using the line tool to make a straight line vertically, I then want to use my brush at 2pixels and 100 hardness to "stroke path", I set my brush then select path selection tool and right click on the line, but "stroke path" is grayed out? I really don't understand. I am following these directions from a website on how to create postcard back.
this is what i was following:
Create a new document with the same exact specifications used earlier for the front. Grab the Line tool and draw a straight vertical line shorter than the postcard’s height, and then place it slightly off center. Set your brush to a size of one or two pixels with a hardness of 100 percent. With the Path Selection tool, right click on the line and choose “Stroke Path.”

Sep 26, 2012I'm creating a criminal line out background . I'm using the line tool to create the lines. I have renamed it in the path tool created a clipping mask but when I flatten the image once finished the lines disappear.
I have also tried creating a new layer naming it putting it between my copied layer and background but once again when flattening the image it doesn't keep the lines. I'm using CS4 .

I created an Action in Photoshop CS6 that includes placing a rectangle and a logo on the bottom right hand corner of my images and then centered in the middle of the rectangle is text of the event (Event name, Location, Date). After creating everything, I flatten the image, resize it down to a size reasonable for the web, then I save the image to a folder, close the document and click on the STOP button in the Actions panel.
Afterwards, I go into File>Automate>Batch and choose the Action that I just created. In running the action, I notice that the text that I placed into the rectangle on my document is now scaling down to a considerably much smaller size than what I had it set to.

VideoStudio :: X3 Creating Two Movies
Dec 20, 2010I recently purchased the VX3/PSX3 bundle. So far we love the flexibility and ease of creating a project. We do a lot of transferring, such as 8mm and VHS for family and friends. Our most recent project included five 20 minute reels of 8mm film. The finished project with menus and credits was just about 1 hour 58 minutes with a size of 6.6GB.
We have a a Blu-Ray burner as well as a DL DVD burner so that size should be fine since we were going to just make a DL DVD. I then went to the SHARE tab and selected the "Create a movie" link. I chose the mpg option just out of familiarity. All went well until I noticed that it broke my project into 2 seperate movies (movie.mpg and movie001.mpg). The first was a bit larger than the second, but almost equal in time. I thought maybe I did something wrong and reran it. The second try yielded basically the same result...two movie files, but this time the second was only 9 minutes long while the first was 1 hour 48 mins. I do not want the extra links on the DVD Menu. The cousin that this is going to is NOT very electronics savvy and the extra buttons on the menu may cause a complete mental breakdown. How I can keep this 6.6GB project as one complete file for DVD authoring? I can forward along file info if need be when I get home.

My issue when I stream that wireless over to my game systems or even my laptop. I am getting lagg. I get no lag on video outputs with WMV 720 by 480. Those video I created with Microsoft MM. I just got VideoStudio and its great! , but my issue I would like to output to WMV 720 by 480 and I do not see that option.
I have been on game forums and wireless forums, and since the WMV 720 by 480 and still working. I am trying to use VS3 to output to that for testing.
My setup is that my game systems and laptop are connected to TV in the house so I stream our events to them for people to see.
WMV HD 720 30p that is 1280 by 720 - is causing the lagg...
WMV 720 by 480 - no lagg...

Jul 1, 2011Using VS Pro X2 on a 2.67GHz i5 with 4GB of memory running Windows 7 Home Premium.
Had lots of problems creating this project as during rendering to DVD or to a file it would get about 80% and then get the dreaded "Program not responding" message from Windows 7 Home Premium. I solved that problem by reducing the size of the many images that I had in the project and successfully rendered to an mpg file which has sound ok.
Now when I try to render to a DVD, at the preview stage there is no sound, but there was sound before I reduced the size of the images in the project.
CorelDRAW X6 :: Creating QR Codes
Sep 23, 2013Why is a basic feature like creating QR-Codes (can be done by thousands of websites for free) not a standard-feature in Corel X6, a software having the ambition to be the most professional solution for graphic editing? I mean most advertises today contain a QR-Code.
I don't even speak of dynamic codes etc. but just importing a standard static "URL" QR-Code. Can I expect this to be a standard feature in upcoming versions of CorelDraw?
VideoStudio :: 11 Plus - Creating Chapters For DVD
Dec 26, 2011I'm having problems on two different PC's with creating a Share/Create Disk/ DVD project in Video Studio 11+. On one PC after I create the DVD project (three separate videos each with its own menu, etc) and save it, when I return later to actually burn the DVD the chapter names are gone. The rest of the information seems to still be there.
To try to get around the above problem I moved the videos, music, etc to my laptop (also Video Studio 11+) and there when I add the three videos to the Share/Create Disk/ DVD project and then click on Add/Edit Chapters, the video does not open up to allow me to move the jog bar and add chapters. If I click on the auto add option Visual Studio crashes.
PS...I have the same experience on the laptop with Video Studio 12...
