how to make the polaroid border thing or w/e now i was wondering how to do that polaroid sun damaged effect like you see in old polaroid photos....
but maybe wit a little bit more sun damage or w/e an some cracks in the photo.
Is there some sort of a template I can get from somewhere, or perhaps someone who has a polaroid could give me the dims and I can try and botch something together that's vaguely in the correct proportions?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've been trying for years off and on to recreate the look of a Type 55 Polaroid positive/negative effect. There are a few border effects software packages that offer similar effects, but they pale in comparison to the real thing.
I've recently resorted to scanning a Type 55 negative and thought it would be a simple matter to overlay this on an image, but am having difficulty keeping the nuances of the negative. I've tried deleting the white with different opacities and even layer blending options, but nothing concrete yet.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was drawing a polaroid cam, and i needed to use the blend tool......once a choose the spacing as specified distance, the option was 0,1 and was going to change it.....to 0,2....but i dont know why, suddently another windom came in front of the blend option window......was the value option for this tool......asking me to choose between 0.1 to 35.27 cm......and when i press start, it returns to the previous window and immediatly turns into the value option windows again......and again and again....i try "esc" button....try to choose as number as fast as i can.....but this keeps going on and on....

I'm making some graphics to be printed on a car. I have some lines with outer glow on them, but Illustrator won't render these unless I use 72DPI in raster effects reslution. I would like to go higher, but it won't give me anything. Guessing it's to heavy for Illustrator maybe? Is there anything I can do about this? I'm making my graphics in 1:1 scale, but I do it in a lower scale since it's just vector art anyway, however how would that effect my glow? Since it's a raster effect.

Repro: Import any footage to a new project - any resolution or frame rate. Create new composition from clip. Type in "Crop" in effects search Double click to load it. Result is an effect called "Wigglerama" & "transform" gets loaded instead of the required "Crop" effect

Have a project and need to find a way to produce a x-ray effect on a object.
Some methods have entered my mind on how this could be accomplished - > inverting the excised object from my photo(s) > desaturate the objects > inject some artificial luminescence with glow or lighting effects > create a canvas for the x-ray - Before any serious time is invested I thought it would be a good idea to see if anyone has done this before, or has any ideas.
how I can create this effect. Can I do that directly with a specific tool or do I have to follow several steps to reproduce something similar.

I was thinking the frequency (lines/inch) of my halftone was off, would there be a rule to follow as to how many lines per inch depending on image size?

I have the Hawaiian tropic logo as an eps file but cant figure out how to create the black (drop shadow did not work to well at getting this look) and I tried for a good 30 min at least.

this was an 'i', it was simpler to draw the lines must not be interrupted, just slightly curved where the 'i' is.
