How I can export this banner within the borders? When i export it as a JPEG it exports the whole thing instead of just the borders. I was expecting it to be a bit like Flash, where you can draw outside the borders yet it will only show within the borders.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm creating a banner with the size of 96x36. Every time I try and print or export to a PDF, it comes up with a I/Q error.
So, I thought it might be something in my file, so I created a new file, and just put one small red square on the document.
Same error??? So I made a smaller document 65x25 or something to that effect. It printed. So is there some sort of
size restriction??
I have a client who asked me to create artwork for a banner she is printing for a trade show. The banner is 19.5 FEET long and almost 8 feet high. I have designed the banner as 6.5x2.6ft with the intent of then dividing it into 9 equal parts which I would blow up to 6.5x2.6 and send off to the printer. So far so good. The problem is that the segments are still so large that when I try to export them as PDFs, I am running out of memory. I tried doing them as jpegs, but when I change the resolution for export to 300dpi, nothing changes- the number of pixels x umber of pixels doesn't increase. My client needs this artwork off to her printer asap and I am at a complete loss.

i want to export them as png or gif, because the background should be transparent.
(CORELDRAW X6.3) Today I tried to export a .jpg file (text file) for a banner that was 6ft x 18ft. The export function wouldn't allow the 18ft, but changed it to like 9ft.
Tried in same in X3 and had the same result.
I could export the file as a .pdf and it worked just fine.
The question is, is there a maximum export size?
I am having an issue with Gimp after taking a heart shaped transparent bg image and filling the transparent parts with a flame pattern, and adding new image objects as layers, every time I flatten the image or export the image to jpg, there is a noticeable white border around the heart! I DON'T want that!!! how can I export or flatten the image without?

I'm using a plug-in Mogrify now, but this way I have to export every photo twice (first to create borders, then to add the metadata). photo below is exported with the Mogrify plug-in.
It would be awsome to export photos like the gallery layout since most lightboxes have only 1 line of caption and no design/edit options. This would save heaps of time.

View 6 Replies View RelatedCreated 4' x 8' artwork in illustrator for a vinyl banner (w/my company logo, tagline & images). Saved file as a PDF and sent to printing company. Just received banner and everything looks great, except our Logo/tagline... they look grainy as if either it was a JPG or I'm thinking the logo/tagline did not link up and the low quality place holder printed? Either way, I'm trying to find out if it is something the printing company messed up or if it's something I messed up—and if it was my fault, how to avoid this in the future.
Logo with tagline was created in illustrator.I did not "Place" the logo & images in the banner file. Rather I opened the files in illustartor and "Drag & Dropped" them in the banner file.Converted the text of Logo with tagline to "outlines".Then saved as PDF from illustartor.
The picture below is hard to see, but you can really see it best at the top of the "t" as if it was cut out with a polygonal lasso tool.
I need to make two banners one is 10ftX14ft and the other is 6ftX8ft. When I create a new doccument there is no option for feet. I need to convert Feet into Inches or Pixels, how can I do that, So illustrator will except the size?

I was wondering if it is possible to style only the borders of an icon. On these icons [URL].... you can see they have some kind of effect around the borders. that I am trying to accomplish the same thing in a set of icons but I can't figure out how to make a similar style/effect.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a rectanlgle the same size as the artboard. I added a 2px border around the rectangle. It is centered vertically and horizontally to the artboard. When I save it as a PNG(save for web) the border gets cut off.
How can I prevent this? I am using illustrator CC(64)

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm designing a new logo for a client and I would like a rectangular form on the background. There is a C-formed shape in the rectangle which should be clipped in the final version. (so if used on black background for example, there's only the regular form on the background with the C in it, but not the shape of the C outside the rectangle on the left and right of the rectangle).
Clipping could be an option but it gives me those fine strokes...
The first image is the ideal result (but not clipped so with shapes of the C outside the box on a coloured background). The 2nd is the result when clipped. Note the small lines where the C-shape touches the borders of the rectangle on the left, right and bottom of the rectangle.
I have a large project (shirt block pattern) that I need to print as a poster, I'm wondering if there's any way to add a border around each tile when printing, since I can't print to the edges of the paper it would save me having to draw in each border before cutting (to ensure I don't cut the edge crookedly).

When I exit the background layer, what setting do I use to only show thecontents within the boundary of the border of the artboard?
I create all of my lineart for illustrations, in Adobe Illustrator. I use the pen tool in combination with the line width tool to create line weight. Once I have completed all of the line work, I select everything and Expand. This results in not having fills for teh areas of the illustration which need to be colored.
From there, what I do is select everything > livepaint > make. I then fill in each area with a base color, using the live paint bucket tool. Once completed, I again select everything > expand. This leaves me fills that I can select indivually to apply gradients and work with directly.
This process works great until I expand the live paint group. After expanding, there is a very thin white border everywhere that two seperate colors meet. This only happens after expanding, it does not happen when it is still a live paint group. I have tried every option in the expand window, and get the same result.
I have exported the completed work in several formats ( .jpg, eps, .png ) and the lines are still there.
My image is overlapping artboard borders,is there any easy way to cut/trim all overlapping objects??

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe people I'm working for wanted a (huge) banner for their website. So far their site actually has fairly decent look. It's very clean and has moderately saturated blues with white text. So this is what I made this for them.
However they wanted me to adjust it, and it ended up looking like this. Is it just me or is the newer design very tacky? I didn't like the hugeness of the first one, and they ended up wanting it even bigger...
I haven't suggested going back to the old one yet because I'm waiting to hear what other people think.
It's just getting frustrating because their instructions through this whole thing have been incoherent. And it ends up in me having to remake something... and the updated version usually looks worse. It's almost like they don't like my designs because they didn't come up with them.
I have a photoshop document thats like 60"w x 8"h I was wondering where do I go in photoshop to make it print like a banner? I see landscape but won't that just wrap it vertically and not horizontally like a banner?
