i downloaded Corel Videostudio pro X3 trial form Corel's Website but when i try to install it then one warning will appear on the screen.It installed until about First way and then gives me this 'feature transfer error' at the same point everytime.

I've reinstalled my OS (WindowsXP SP3) and installed 3ds Max 2012 again. It have run succesful. But it doesn't export license. While trying to export it says "Export Request Failed. The maximum number of exports for this serial number has been reached. You may not export more licenses than you have purchased. Error reference:36" It seems as my old licence is on server.

It also happens when I playback in MPEG format. All my music and sound are in MP3 format. When I play an MP3 file by itself on the computer using media player or real player there is no scratching sound.

I can do this easily as I have a NTSC video and converter, and have done this many times, but they also want a DVD to send to the USA in NTSC format. I was going to play the tape a second time without the converter but Is it as easy as just changing the setting in Videostudio 10 from PAL to NTSC or do I have to change anything else.

Is it still possible to convert the tapes to a DVD using my computer, but without a camcorder? Neither do I have the money to afford a new camcorder nor a professional service to do it for me.
I am continuing to edit old videos to transfer them to DVD. I am currently trying to edit what I assume are old analogue 4:3 clips and find that even when played in the windows viewer, and again when I transfer them into Videostudio, that the Audio is about one third shorter than the film clip. I can understand the audio by dragging out the length to match the length of the clip, but the resulting sound is pretty dreadful.

The audio is present but for some reason there is a noticeable static on the video file. Im using a 2000 Sharp ViewCam VL-A10 monaural/analog 8mm camcorder to transfer video to my computer. Im confused because there is NO static on the original 8mm tape, when I play video on the camera, the sound is fine as well as when I plug it in to my TV set for playback. I dont understand where the static is coming from on the digital transfer? Ive tried several capture formats MPEG, DVD, AVI etc. the static is present on all versions. Im using the EasyCAP USB device with A/V plugs for capturing.

I bought a "Startech S-Video / Composite to USB Video Capture Cable w/ TWAIN and Mac® Support" so that I could use any software w/it. I thought I could use Microsoft Movie Maker, but it doesn't work. So, I got VideoStudio Essentials X4 with the capture device. All my tapes are fine, and they play fine with I'm capturing...but when I go to view the video, it's jumpy. I only did a few minutes to see how it would do and that's where I hit a wall. I've emailed with Corel support for almost 2 months to find out that they don't support the software I got. As a last resort, he asked that I download the free version of VideoStudio Pro X4. I did, and still the same thing happens.

I captured successful the video from my Sony camera, cutted the video, produced a DVD and enjoyed afterwards the video. To back-up the video on a tape normally I generate a video file in my Video Studio x3 (latest version) and transfer it back to the tape on my video camera. This isn't working in the right way due to stuttering after 10-15 minutes transfering back. After restarting the transition the time until stuttering starts is then less then 10 minutes, next time less then 5 minutes.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm creating a DVD with just one MPEG2 feature length movie. I've selected the movie and done all the technical burn settings.
What I want is for the DVD to begin with a screen that has the options to 'Play Movie' which plays the whole thing or 'Chapters' which then goes to a chapters menu. Obviously they have to be able to get back to the option to play the whole movie.
I've separated the movie into the chapters by doing Add/Edit Chapter and clicked Next.
Am I right that Add Title Menu creates the first screen, and the Add Chapters Menu then creates the Chapters Menu? How do you have the Play Movie option - or is that just achieved by playing the first chapter (ie does it carry on with the whole movie?) With each chapter, does it proceed to play the whole of the rest of the movie after that chapter?
Also, the first chapter has a black screen thumbnail. How can I change the look (but not the actual starting point) of that chapter?
What does 'close the disc' mean? Does closing it give better copyright protection on the movie being taken off the DVD?
Finally, how do I save all these chapters and settings so I can just a burn the DVD quickly next time without creating chapters etc? (I am creating a Disk file, but can I save it as a Project?).
I am working on a 6 mile highway project whose surface file is 85MB big. So, I created a Data Shortcut of this surface and used this for creating profiles. However, at some locations the corridors go below the surface(as per their original profile) which was not intended. So, I need to restrict the surface to follow the corridors but not go beyond it.
I have created feature lines from corridors and tried to add them as breaklines to the surface. But " error adding breakline" error pops up.
Is it because I am trying to add the breaklines to the mirror surface which I created from Data Shortcut ??
Will it be useful if I copy feature lines to original surface file and add these feature lines as breaklines in that file??

I use studio video Pro X3 to produce college skills video for college coaches interest in recruiting my players. One of the things coaches are interested in is running times from home to first base/home to home. I've found the most effective way to display results in real time is to have the time lapse overlayed on the video clip. I've seen this feature with Adobe editing software, but not with Corel. Does this feature exist? Is there a filter or patch to access it?

On one of my layers I have started getting "Feature was not saved in the target feature source" when I try to check in my data. In total there are 308 errors in the data table, all of which were features I deleted. They all have a featID of null and I cannot remove them from the data table. I need to fix these errors without going back and starting over.

I like to use the sharpen feature and the unsharp mask feature but haven't gotten very good at it. Mostly I'm wondering if there is a way to calibrate the sharpen function so that it doesn't sharpen quite so much each time I click it.

Just got Visual Studio Pro X4. My first experience with VS. A friend gave me a number of projects she had been working on with an earlier version. When I try to open a project (.VSP file) I get an error.
File is already open.
This happens with every project I try to open.
When I create a project mit chapter and and want burn it in Blue-Ray disc, than comes error 5:0:0. Without chapter I can project burning perfect.Already destroyed many Blue-ray discs.
