View 5 RepliesI've got the rain already, but I also have a body of water in my pic.
How do I make the rain look like it's splashing/raining onto the water?
How did they do do the frosty glass effect on the lower left side?
how to do the rain drops...just not the frosty effect
I took this photo while it was snowing and there were two noticable water drops on the lens that created white marksglows.
How would I go about removing these marks? The big one is in the lower left. I also have the RAW file.
I am creating an image of a fantasy town as viewed from above (gods eye view) and would like to have rain drops falling upon the settlement from this angle and height. I'm just wondering what techniques and methods you would use to generate the effect of these raindrops. This is the only example of the kind of thing i'm talking about that I could find.

I have started a new project in storm and sanitary 2014. I brought in my drainag areas from civil 3d with GIS import. I now want to add a rain gauge but this icon is grayed out. It does not give me the option of adding a rain gauge. Is there a setting I need to set in the project optinos to allow me to add a rain gauge?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'd like to make multiple copies of a .jpg I've made rain down from the top of the screen, ad-infinitum. Like, imagine small cat's heads raining down from the top of the screen.
I have foggy memories of an effect where I can just replace the default object with my own, but am having no luck finding it.

How would one create a 3D rain gutter? I could make a profile of the gutter with a pline and then extrude it. Or I could perhaps use mass elements? How would I miter them on a corner?
I tried doing the pen tool frame by frame but it degrades the image. I tried doing a gain reducting but all it does is blur features and not even remove the rain. I looked up a computer science journal that gave a method with K-means clustering but I don't know how to apply it to AE..
View 5 Replies View RelatedI want to select part of an image with just one layer. Say I just flattened the image and have to move one part of. I select it with the rectangular select tool. It seems intuitive that I could then just move what I selected, but when I drag the selection, the selection itself moves without moving what is inside the selection.
If I then remember to click the move tool and try to move what's in the selection (seems to work sometimes, maybe when there's multiple layers?) the entire image moves.
The only way I can move part of the image over is if I make a selection and then cut it (ctrl X) then paste it.
How am I supposed to move part of the flattened image, is there a way I can set it to default to "When I select something, I can immediately drag that selected area around."
Is there an easy way to go from CS6 to LR5 and then back to CS6?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just read that the easiest way was to save the Actions in CS5 in a specific folder then go to CS6 and load the individual Actions. Sounds easy, however I can't get past the first step. Photoshop won't let me save the Actions in SC5. What can I do?
View 11 Replies View RelatedIn the past two weeks I've noticed a weird problem with my Photoshop CS5. I'm on Windows 7 64-bit with CS5 version 12.0.4 X64.
Sometimes (not always) when I click a layer in the layer menu and try to move it with the move tool, it jumps to a different layer (not to the one I selected) and moves that one instead. Now, this is only if I move it with my mouse. If I move it with the keyboard, it works fine.
Also, if it starts doing this with a layer, it will continue to do it with that layer forevermore. Even when I close the program and re-open it again. Or if I save it as a diffeent filename. If I duplicate the layer, it will do it on both the original layer I was having trouble with and the new copy of that layer. I can also merge it down with a blank layer and it'll retain the problem in the new, merged layer.
It's annoying to have to move the affected layers with the arrow key.
I did find a mention of this problem on a mac, but the solution did not seem to apply to a PC.
I have exhausted the disk space on my MacBook Pro and need to purchase a model with more space. Can I move my CS6 to the new computer, and if so, how should I do so?

Is it OK to just install it from the original disc on my new computer or will I need to uninstall it from my old computer first, then install it on the new computer?
My concerns are more related to licensing than technical issues. I have Photoshop CS4.
I'm having an issue with Photoshop crashing when I move layers up or down. I'm using a macbook with lion.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI upgraged to CS6 via the Adobe download for my MacBook Pro, and Mac Pro. I'm changing my MacBook Pro to the the Retina display model, and I can't seem to find out how to uninstall CS6 on my old MacBook Pro, and install it on the new one. I've been to the Adobe site, but I'm lost.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm still playing around with CS-2 on the Mac and have got a question about adjusting how much the cursor will move, can't seem to find a place to adjust it.
I had cut out an object from one photo and was trying to place it on another photo. However it dosn't seem to want to move exactly to the place I would like to put it. The increments seem to be large when I try to move it around.
I just uninstalled Photoshop from an old computer since I am moving everything to a new system. I noticed it gave an option to save the license. So, now I need to know how to move that to my new computer.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to drag text with my mouse. Now, out of the blue, when I click on a text layer and try to move it with my mouse, CS automatically deselects my text layer and selects the background layer or a shape. Why is it automatically deselecting the text layer and selecting the background?! So, I can only move text with my arrow keys!

Just dragging the object is not working for that.
When making a selection, I like to use the magnetic lasso tool. I usually zoom in on the image. I just hate it when you get to the edge of the image and you have to "manually" push the lasso tool against the edge of the image to give you get access to the rest of the image to select it. I always mess up and selection is ruined by the quick movement when more is opened....
is there any way to scroll the image up or down when you get to the edge of it and you still have to select outside of the window...
Maybe there's a key stroke that will allow me to scroll up or down or right or left without losing the amount that I've already selected.
I am retouching a photo... i'm have selected one person in a group and wanted to move her closer to the group, but when I do that, there is a hole you can see through left behind. That obviously isn't going to work. I think I remember trying to do this and there isn't a hole left behind.
How can a move a selection and just have the background left behind... I wouldn't even mind moving her closer and having a double image... I could clone out the image I didn't want.
I am trying to make a ball look like it is in motion as it is thrown across a room.
I know I can blur the ball but I was thinking more of trying to show a series of the ball in flight.
