I have a Dell 30" monitor and Photoshop cs 3 on new Dell desktop with Vista. I am attempting to calibrate with GregaMacbeth eye-one display 2. I print on an Espson 7800.
All worked fine until I got the new computer with Vista. After dozens of attempts over 4 months my monitor display is not even close to the prints. Colors are too warm and saturated.
My Viewsonic vx924 quit so I bought two more 19" widescreen monitors. Both have very uneven color and display a mustard color even after calibrating. It is almost impossible to buy a 4:3 aspect ratio any more. My Spyder is old and may need replacing but it seemed to work after reducing monitor from widescreen to 4:3. It almost looks like a dark to light gradient across the monitor.
Question: What are you doing to prevent this with your widescreen? Can they be calibrated? What brand widescreen monitor works for you with CS3?
I found out my laptop's monitor is not calibrated correctly...I am working from home, in a foriegn country, so getting a proper monitor is out of the question at the moment.how to properly calibrate my monitor?
I want to calibrate my display properly and I am little confused. There are too many settings and wizards. First of all there are display settings (brightness, contrast, black level, color temperature, sharpness). Second -- graphics card settings (hue, saturation, brightness, contrast, color temperature, color correction curves). Third -- there are Windows color management settings in Control Panel (ICC profiles, WCS profiles, etc). Fourth -- Adobe Gamma. Firth -- I can use calorimeter to set display LUT. Â How all that level of settings are related? In what order they should be changed? What color temperature is "best"? How Adobe gamma correlated with Windows 7 color management wizard? What is best? (They are producing different profiles.) Â I "just" want to make photos of what I see, see it then on display more or less precisely and then print it.
I need to show specific ratios on the image, e.g., this distance is to this as that is to that. A measuring tool that works in pixels is pretty cumbersome. IS it possible to re-calibrate the ruler tool to measure in millimeters, centimeters, etc.? Pixels don't really make it for me. It seems like an obvious choice, but I can't figure out how to do it.
I'm trying to use a digitizer tablet in Illustrator but I can't figure out how to calibrate it so that the vectors come out at the right size/length regardless of the zoom level. In CAD, the 'tablet' command allows you to pick two points on the tablet and correspond that to two points on the CAD model space and after you do that, the scale at which you draw remains constant. I'm drawing archaeological sections so the scale needs to be exact. Â I've had difficulty trying to do the same in Illustrator.
Why can't I drop a clip in the Program Monitor from the Source Monitor in Premiere? When I try to move a clip from the Source to the Program Monitor, a hand displays with the "circle with a line through it" symbol.
I have used ACAD Lt 2000 for years and it has been fine untill recently. It does not seem to like the new hardware so I am trying the 2012 Lt for 30 days. One thing it is not letting me do is calibrate the digitizer, (a GTCO 3648 Rollup II) I am not even getting a "tools" menu and typing in "CAL" gets me a weird " >> Expression: " in the command line. It shows:
LR 5.3, Develop module - I seem to have lost all my options under Camera Calibrate. All I have now is Camera Standard and Matrix, where I used to have a slew of options. I'm still using the same camera and lenses, which are known to Adobe, processing RAW files.
I just got photoshop recently on my new computer, on which I have never installed photoshop before. When I decided to use it for the first time, I started with the text tool, but found when I dragged the box area I wanted, I could not type inside it.
So I went troubleshooting, and no matter what I did the text stubbornly would not show itself. I have deleted and reinstalled fonts. Redownloaded photoshop. Reset preferences.
I have tried every way possible. The short cut, photos, and psd. files and nothing. So I thought, maybe I should uninstall it and reinstall it. Nope! And I even ran Ccleaner, disk clean up and a rgistry cleaner/fixer uper and restarted before reinstalling. It will start to load and then it just drops off with no error message. Not sure what else to try. I have 91% empty space on a 250MB hard drive and more than enough memory so I dont think this is an issue. I havnt made any changes or installed anything that may have caused an issue.
have just purchased photoshop cs4 and can not get it to install, the autoplay pops up with :file access denied which tells me that there is something on my pc blocking it ,I have antivirus ,firewall ,antispam all turned of but still no go,so then went to root directory and clicked on :setup exe' and the install initializes and starts checking system profile and it gets to 90% then stops then nothing,
I have CS4 and everything has been working great! I love it! The only problem is that for some reason now I can't COPY images out of my layers. I can paste anything but now when I select images from my layers, there is no option like COPY available in the EDIT tab. Some others seem to be missing to, such as FADE. My PC is definetly capable of running the program as it was for already a week perfectly.
i had to reinstall my OS. yet agian and now my CS3 upgrade wont install , it dosent give an error message it just says on the crappy little window that there were errors installing and errors in the shared components.
I have installed photoshop cs4 and when i start it, the terms of service comes up. I accept and it then goes and photoshop wont start up. I have had it installed on my pc before, I did a clean install but when i installed photoshop it just wouldn't get past the tos.
i don't know if this is the right place to post this but im having a problem installing the trial of photoshop cs4 extended. i have vista so when i click setup i right click and chose run as administrator. the window flashes then nothing happens but when i get to task manager it is running as a process.
i have a interface i want to use on my website, it has 4 rollovers on it, i created the rollovers/interface with ps 7/image ready, when i try to upload it to my website it only shows my slices and no images, i have tried it by typing the html code image ready made into the webpage but still same effect, slices with no images or rollovers.
upon the last step of moving the grid around, I got it to have a 3D look but the lines where horribly jagged. Very jagged. Yet the top photo shows a very nice anti-aliased grid.
I create new file, add 1st layer, pick colors on color pallette, and try to do difference clouds or halftone pattern and i get an error message saying that nothing is selected. I click on the layer in the layers pallette to be sure that the layer is selected, and it still won't work. Is there something special i need to do? i know in older versions, you could just use the filter...
when i tried to opened the PNG or GIF files that i save earlier, photoshop CS3 just wont open it. It keeps giving me a messages saying "Could not complete your request because the file-format module cannot parse the file". I even reinstall the photoshop, but still receiving the same problem.
I'm running photoshop cs3 and recently every time I try and open a file nothing happens, well what happens is I see the open file box pop up and disappear and then I can not do anything in PS, every time I click something I hear a noise and thats it, I have to restart Photoshop.
The only way to open a file is if I drag and drop a file in PS.
I'm running windows XP service pack 2 if that helps at all, and yes I have reinstalled and the problem still persists.
