Sep 1, 2012When I finish editing a photo I get a message about "can't export to clipboard". Also, did the Mask panel disappear in CS6? Can't find it under Window menu.

View 3 RepliesThe above error just started recently when I do cntl A to select all the cntrl C to copy. I am trying to add photos to the background photo as additional layers.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI keep on getting this message when I'm copying and pasting it says "Clipboard failed because it is too big to export"
I am using Adobe CS2 on a Mac G4 running 10.4 Tiger with 2 Gigs of ram.
I have been getting the error "Could not export the clipboard because it is too big to export" since upgrading to CS6. The same files at the same bit depth on the same computer do not cause this error in CS5.
In fact, I can open a file in CS5, copy it, and paste it into CS6 with no trouble. If I then copy again within CS6 and leave the program, I am given the error.
This error appears regardless of whether Photoshop CS6 is running alone, or with several apps. The Raw files are from a Canon 5D mark ii and tend to be 20-25MB in size,
I am running a Mac Pro 2.8GHz Quad Core Intel with 24GB of RAM. I have set the preferences to allocate 70% of this RAM, which should be sufficient. Changing the allocation to 90% or 100% has no effect, nor does adjusting the tiles configuration. My scratch disks have 130GB and 500GB free.
Sometimes when I quit CS6 on my Mac by hitting Command-Q I get the message "Cannot export Clipboard because it is to big".
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm currently trying the Adobe CC (still in trial, 25 days to go) and one thing I really do A LOT is Cmd+Shift+C-ing a file in Photoshop and paste in illustrator to keep working on my layout.
in my old iMac (2duo 2.66ghz with 4gb ddr2 ram) I can do it no problem, even with big files. Usually around 5000px and 150 to 300dpi. It takes a few seconds, but it works. Now I got a little retina 13", with an i5 2.6ghz and 8gb ddr3 ram, and it can't handle a 3000px-1500px copy and paste from Photoshop to illustrator without popping up that "Clipboard is too big to export" window.
Both are running OSX Mountain Lion updated. iMac on the Adobe CS6 and Retina with Adobe CC.Both have 70% of ram for Photoshop alone, plenty of space in hard disk (no idea if this interferes) and only Illustrator and Photoshop open at the time. Both Cmd+Shift+C-ing, flattening and copying, cutting, etc. doesn't work.
I don't want to disable clipboard export, I want to be able to do what I use to do in my iMac.
I receive the following window:"could not import the clipboard because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered".
I delete the message and continue without any problems [that I'm aware of] but the message reoccurs.
I am using AutoCAD Architecture 2011 and am trying to export a file to a previous version (after i bind xrefs) so I can play with it in Sketchup. When I go through and have it export and chose the file name and location, nothing happens. I don't even get an error message and no file was created. To work around this, I was hoping to copy/paste the drawing into a new file to export from there but when I copy I get an error message that says "Copy to clipboard failed".
I audited, purged, audited, purged, restarted my computer and CAD. All this works fine on other files in the project so I'm guessing the problem lies within this particular file.
would it be possible sometime in Paint.Net to save/export to the clipboard the history box as a text list of what we did ?
since I use many effects and settings in a given PDN, I sometime wants to write me some notes about how i did something and the steps i used to do it, before my old memory lets me down.
I know that the PDN it self has the history, but now I need to go over all the list and manually write/type down in notepad the list , which most of the time is very long.
Having the ability to save/export the history box text to a file or to the clipboard, make it easy to edit the list and keep track/notes of steps and ways to do something.
I don't need the settings used in the effect/adjustments , but just the TEXT names of the steps taken as shown in the history box.
I somehow lost the toolbar with the "copy to the clipboard" and "paste from the clipboard" icons.. which tool bar i need to turn back on?

When I try to export an image without LR adjustments (original or copy) from LR5 to Photoshop CC, I get this message: "Adobe Photoshop CC cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure Adobe Photoshop CC works with this version of OS X..."
I'm running 10.8.5 on an iMac and have the latest updates of Photoshop CC and LR 5 installed.
few days ago, when I clicked on "Save for Web" I received this error.
"Could not complete the Export command because of a program error."
This used to work fine before a few days ago. I haven't made any changes to my computer. I've deleted the Save for Web prefrences file as well as the Photoshop preference file. None of these have helped. I am still unable to Save for Web.
Whenever I attempt to render video or export a photoshop file as a video I get the following error:
dynamiclinkmediaserver has encountered an error
[/Volumes/BuildDisk/builds/DynamicLinkMediaServer1/main/shared/adobe/M ediaCore/ASL/Foundation/Make/Mac/../../Src/DirectoryRegistry.cpp-283]
Continue Button.
Hitting continue does nothing and the application just hangs on the video export progress bar.I've attempted to export several types of PSD files to video, some old, some new (made in CS6) and I always get this error. I have reset Photoshops preferences. I have uninstalled the entire CS6 suite and reinstalled it.
On a whim I decided to reinstall PS CS5 and try to export from there. Worked like a charm. Was able to export video from my PSDs like before.I am currently running:

I have a xara file with lots of images. The saved xara file is about 45Mb.If I try and export this as PDF with 300dpi or 600dpi, I get an error that says 'File could not be saved'
Is Designer Pro X not capable of handling this size of file?
I would imagine that there are users out there who are dealing with very large images and probably much larger file sizes. Is it simply that the dpi I am choosing, is the cause?
I'm trying to create a new file from the clipboard and it's (CS4) not letting me do it. I've done that before, but for some reason, it's been finicky about that recently. What gives?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI open an email message that contains an image. Up until now the procedure has been.... right click the image, click copy, switch to photoshop, file /new, edit/ paste, bada boom, bada bing and I have my image in Photoshop. Now when i try the edit / paste step, CS3 doesn't paste anything.
My current workaround is to open the lowly free windows paint program, paste into paint .... then edit /copy from paint.... and then I can do a file / new / edit paste into photoshop cs3 and it works. A royal pain.
Just a quick question about DXF exporting a part face to dxf. What could be the reason for me getting an error "DXF/DWG Export Error" ?
I have uninstalled Inventor and reinstalled Inventor with AV, UAC off and logged in as administrator.

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust upgraded to Creative Cloud CS6 Photoshop on my Xeon Mac Pro, 16 gigs ram, tons of disk space, Mac OS 10.7 and when I take a screenshot I can't import it to Photoshop.
I get the message that it could not import the clipboard because the file is not a TIFF. I have work to do but I can't do it without importing screenshots from the clipboard. Reverting to CS3 isn't an option because I've upgraded to OS 10.7 and it no longer works.
I have installed Photoshop CS3 on my computer but some how I find that when I try to open a new file in Photoshop in Clipboard mode only it is disabled other modes are on.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is more a basic question, but something I have happen often. Why is it when I perform a ALT-Print Scrn on an active window [windows platform] and paste to a wordpad document, open PS and create new image and paste the image from the wordpad document to PS it is distorted?
Any help appreciated.
The reason I have to paste to wordpad first is I often have to complete documentation on systems that do not have access to PS so I paste to wordpad to save the clipboard images I need.
Im trying to export my Flash animation but i keep getting an error. Below is the error it keeps throwing at me

I've just tried to export a page as a pdf for the first time since upgrading to windows 8 and I'm getting a strange problem. In the image I have a text string which has a bevel, contour and drop shadow. When this exports it is surrounded by a black box. This also happens in another area with 2 circles both with shadows and again this is surrounded by the black boxes. I had previously exported an identical poster from designer pro X on windows XP without a problem.
So far I have tried exporting it at different dpi settings and in pdf 1.4 to 1.8 but not pdf/X yet.
I've reinstalled my OS (WindowsXP SP3) and installed 3ds Max 2012 again. It have run succesful. But it doesn't export license. While trying to export it says "Export Request Failed. The maximum number of exports for this serial number has been reached. You may not export more licenses than you have purchased. Error reference:36" It seems as my old licence is on server.
