Sep 15, 2013How do I edit glowing eyes to make them look normal? They aren't red eyes - they are bright.

View 2 RepliesI'm sure this is covered but maybe I didn't search hard enough to find it on the forum but.. how is this done?
My main question is how do you do that glow thing on the eyes?
my second question is is there a way to take out that name and put one of my own in there?
I've got this very weird pic. Normally I can remove red eyes, but these are just very hard to deal with.

I drew the eyes by making a circle, filling in a black circle, and then drawing the two lines to make the eyelids. I'm pretty sure i have to do something with Pathfinder here to get the middle "third" of they eye sections white, but after much playing, I've had no luck.
to change his eyes to cats eyes from a picture of him from halloween, and to make it look real as possible. He is versed in CS2 and looks like he wants to see how far i have come with it.
Question is, do I take the eye pupil and bend it or replace the pupil all together from a different pic.?
This is a slight head scratcher as i'm not sure where to start...
With CS6 on my Mac Pro desktop, in cloning skin color the newly cloned areas are perceptably more red. I have on occassion played with color mixes (not knowing what I was doing, just experimenting) and may have screwed something up.

I know I can use color burn, but when I use that it makes it too dark. My friend is wearing a black dress in the picture.
It has to look like as if it is taken by a professional photographer.

When I open GIMP, the window is quite different from what it used to be. I uninstalled and reinstalled GIMP, but there is no change. Is there any way to make the appearance normal? The screenshots that I have attached are after a lot of efforts to make the screen appear 'normal'
OS Ubuntu 13.04
GIMP: 2.8.X (available with Ubuntu software centre, no modifications)
I don't know what I did, but now when I open a text box and type in, the text looks stretched out sideways. Closing the file and closing GIMP doesn't work. When I open a pic and try to put text on it, it is still stretched.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIf I select a "New" document in CS5 I find that I am only able to paint or fill in in grey scale. This is new. In the Color options panel the grey scale slider is ticked and all other options are greyed out.
How do I remove the tick by the side of the grey scale slider and make the other options available for selection as normal. I note that if I open a previously opened document all options are available it just seems to be new blank documents.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI'm going through this tutorial: URL....On step 10 it says to go to Filter>Stylize>Glowing Edges......I can't find it there! Is it not in photoshop CS6? This is especially frustrating because this is one of the most important parts of the tutorial and I've been working on this for hours only to find that Glowing Edges is missing.I'm using the free 30-day trial.

I am curious if anyone has any tips on how to make some realistic looking burning and glowing coals.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIt has been quite a while since I have posted. And in that period, my Photoshop skills have improved greatly. I am still learning a few new techniques and I just started working on brushing. There is a certain technique that I see quite often and would love to learn how to do. I'll post a few examples so you guys can see the effect that I am leaning towards.

View 4 Replies View RelatedOf course photoshop can touch up an image to make it appear that a 3d image is glowing but can photoshop 3D (cc version) create and render an object to glow as if it were giving off light that then produces an auric glow around the object?
I need to have a sphere that appears to emanate light and then gives off a glow, an aura around it, without having to touch up the photo in photoshop 2D.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm wondering how to do glowing text over a background image. What I am looking for is the technique used on the title text from the show "Smallville"
Here are the restrictions:
-Background image (obviously background layer)
-Glowing text (but not regular font. I made some font and just saved as black and white image)
I have spent a while looking for the technique, but nothing seemed to work well. I applied a Gaussian filter, weird polar coordinates thing (seen from another site), and Wind effect.
The wind effect seems closest. However, when I force a black and white text image to have the wind effect, the background of the white glowing text remains black and it looks bad if I just make the black transparent.
Is there anyway to make a graphic sort of 'glow' using Photoshop? I know I have seen banners that look like they do, but I'm not sure if they were made with Photoshop.
