I want to create a mosaic/collage type thing of loads (100+) of images i've taken. Is there any shortcut way of doing it, or is the only way importing each image and resizing it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm making a collage containing 4 images with different resolution. I want each image to have faded edges (to white) and I'm using gradient tool to accomplish this. The problem is that since the images have different resolution the gradient tool gives different result on each image even though I make the same "swipe". Is there another way of accomplishing these faded edges, equally looking and of the same size? The faded edges (to white) will, as you might have understood already, constitute the limit between the four pictures, that is, a white cross.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a small business doing canvas stretch pictures. A client of mine has asked me to do a collage of 27 photos and I used Shape Collage to do so. She wanted a collage with all the photos in a regulated format. That is Avg.Angle zero degrees, Max. Angle zero degrees, Offset X zero and Offset Y zero. After creating the collage I saved it as a PSd file. So Far So good. I then opened Gimp 2.8.4 and was quite confused as the latest program appearance is nothing like the tutorials and images on the net. However I was able to open the image of the collage by importing the psd file. I was also able to edit the photos and reposition them according to her wishes. I then saved the file as a psd. She wanted to see a jpeg copy of the collage as she does not have photoshop on her pc. In order to show her I had to flatten the psd and then save it in photoshop to a jpeg format. She now wants me to add one more photo to the existing collage.
How can I do that from the flattened psd?
I have stared to create a collage, after inserting some of the images, I saved the project and closed the program (x3). When I opened again the callage, all the inserted images was merged together and I can move only all of them together.
How can I separate the images so I will be able to move each of them separately in order to insert more images and change the order of them in the collage.
There was a special offer here with Groupon for printed canvasas, I've stocked up as there were a couple of images I always wanted blown up to +/- A1 size. However, I bought more than I needed. With the couple I have left, my plan is to create a collage of photos from my collection and then have it printed.
My question is, what software package is best for this? We had a professional photo shoot done a couple of months ago, and the photographer used Lightroom when we he was displaying the pictures for us to choose, and I presume that this would also have been used for the editing and creating the collage?

What I'd like to do is use their logo (a simple house shape) as the shape of the mosaic filter. I've been unable to find a way of altering photoshops default square mosaic filter shape.
I am trying to design a shower mosaic, using small (3/4") tiles. I have a certain color palette, dictated by where I buy the tiles
And convert it to a mosaic that only uses colors from the tiles. I could then play with tiles of different sizes or a bigger/smaller palette until I was happy with it, and use the Photoshop image as the pattern when I put them in.
I know how to create a mosaic with squares of size x. What I don't know is how to tell Photoshop to take an image and create a mosaic forcing it (as best as it can) into a specified color palette.
I'm having trouble with many newbie things... here's the list:
1) i have to deal with images of various sizes. What do I need to do to be able to have everyone's head cut out in an exact circle such that I can move them all around and they are the same size? I tried using the marquee tool but it made a different circle each time, more of an ellipse (hence the name of the tool I suppose).
2) does anyone know where I can get a picture of a tree that I can attach everyone's head to? how do I use that as my background? is that the same as adding a layer and having it as the bottom layer?
Hi, I am starting a new business making art prints for artists. I have purchased this huge printer ... just got it. I've been studying photoshop for months using "classroom in a book" and am finding out that I've probably studied the wrong thing.
I have three questions and thanks in advance for any of your expertise.
1. I successfully printed out a two foot by two foot photo I took of my husband with my 8.2 megapixel camera. Then, tried to print out another photo.... used the same photoshop settings, but the print was 6 inches by 6 inches...... I did notice that the second print was only 16. %... I wondered if that caused the difference in size? How do I set that to 100 % if that is what is needed?
2. I want to print out multiple small prints using this big paper and printer... I want to tile these various prints (all different) along the top making rows... I want them to be all different. I called Epson support and they said I could do that in photoshop. Do I use the browser?
3. I have a wide format scanner. It does up to 11 x 17 inches. If I have something larger to scan, let's say, I scan the bottom of the image and then scan the top of the image, how do I put them together?
I know Photomerge can do horizontal or vertical but can it manage a project that would have 9 pictures in a 3 x 3 grid or 12 in a 3 x 4 grid?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having problems selecting images in the library module when multiple images are in view (not down in the timeline, but in the main window). It seems sporadic with which ones it won't let me select, it somehow manages to be the ones that I need to click....!! I just literally can't click it as if it were an image I already imported or something, but it's not grayed out like that. I've been having to select a nearby image then use my arrow keys to navigate to and click the image I need.

For instance if I select 10 images to view in the survey mode to compare and select 1 to be flagged as rejected all 10 will be flagged rejected, not just the one. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have this idea to place a raster image from Photoshop into Illustrator, and to have an array of Illustrator shapes over this placed image, to clipping mask the raster image with the shapes, and then to move the shapes individually, each one retaining it's section of that raster image which it clipped.
I believe I'm getting the clipping part to happen, but when I move the shapes with the Direct Selection tool, the clipped contents doesn't move with it.
I think that all of my shapes, taken as a whole are clipping this raster image...am I barkin' up the wrong tree here?
I'm producing a limited 8-colour palette mosaic for a restaurant wall using 1734 tiles represented as tessellated objects superimposed on a colour-reduced photo. Each tile will be one of 8 colours.
My question: how do I calculate the number of tiles per colour? I already have produced the tiles with their respective colour.
there is the scripting language - which is likely my only option - but as I'm new to the game:-
1. Is there an inbuilt Draw function to identify and count the number of objects with a specific colour, or
