I been trying to change the color in the coffee beans for a dark red but the only I got was a pale pink. I select a dark red from the color pallet but the result is the one you can see in the picture.

View 2 Replies View Relatedis it possible to change the background color [outside the artboard] to a dark grey? because i really dont like having a big white screen while working in illustrator.when you normally work in illustrator, the artboard is indicated by a black border line but when you select the artboard editor tool, the background changes to dark grey, so it is possible and that is the effect im looking for, but then permanently.is it possible to do this via the preferences somewhere, or via a hack?

I have a picture of a person I'm trying to alter. The person is wearing a very light yellow shirt and I am trying to replace the color with a more striking dark red. Also I'm trying to turn her skin a very pale white color (Like a geisha). I've been fiddling with the color replacement tool, but the best I've been able to get is a milky whitish red matching the light shade of the shirt. No matter what shade of red I use it always replaces the yellow with the same light red.
Is there a way to tell the color replacement tool to not keep the same light shade as the shirt and instead stay closer to the shade I've selected from the swatch?
I am trying to put an image on a coffee mug so that it does not look like a flat image pasted onto the coffee mug.

When I draw something on a dark background it just vanishes as soon as I fill the area with the paint bucket!
If I have a dark grey background, and draw something in black using the brush, when I try to fill the drawing, for instance green, with the paint bucket, the entire picture becomes green!
It was as if the drawing was never there.
At first I thought I had some wierd setting on my brush, but the wierd thing is that this only happens when I use dark.
I create or load an image it is always darker than it is actually supposed to be. When I go to save a created image, it will always be lighter. What I want to know is how to make the image on the screen the same color as when I save it to my computer.
Example: I was following a tutorial to create a banner and when I finished (without saving) it turned out like this. Now, the image from the tutorial is actually suppose to look like this when finished. Then, after I saved the image it looked like how it was suppose to look.
I really like the effect in this poster. I see this effect all the time taking one color and making it light and dark in different areas. Like the banner on this site, but can never do it myself.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am very torn about the layers palette. I love that layer via copy will respond to groups as well as individual layers but I hate the color. I find it much more difficult to quickly find what I am looking for with the names and info inverted on a black background.
It is also more difficult to see the separation between layers and tell when one ends with its effects. Overall I feel my productivity regarding the layers palette has slowed down and become more frustrating. Everything else seems to be great. Is there a way I can convert over to a light toned color palette instead of a dark one?

Doing the exact same thing with yellow and red, works perfectly fine.
I am creating virtual samples of several hundred coffee mugs using PS CS 5.5. (I have access to CS6 but haven't installed it.) There will be two views of each mug, front and back. The images to be wrapped around the mug are PDFs of identical rectangular dimensions. In general, the effect I seek happens automatically using the 3D cylinder or soda can shapes.
1. Is it possible to buy and install other shapes? Can I buy a white coffee mug?
2. I was also thinking about doing this using the wrap tool and "placing" the image on a mug, then changing the opacity to multiply. Doing it this way makes the effect look more "real." But I don't know how to automate it or if it can be. So far, I'm thinking this would all be hand work.
I am trying to get the light blue bow to look as the other bows (dark blue) When I use the color replacement tool and sample the color from the dark blue bow and try to paint the light blue bow it just wont work..it color it with light gray instead of dark blue that I sampled.

How would you go about making the lid i've attached? I don't need the inner surfaces. My only concern is presenting the main body and lid as a single attached solid. I want to change the color to hex #00aced (0, 172, 237). I tried the colorfy, but the image comes out purple. Another way that has worked for me in the past, with white images, is by clicking on the channel dialog and dragging the red down. Clicking on the eye, next delete the original image and than add a new foreground color based on what color I selected from the palette. Of course this isn't working either since the image is so dark.
Now in channel mixer it could work if the RGB would go higher than 200, but since my blue is 237 this is where I am stuck. It has worked with other colors, as long as the RGB is less than 200. This is by selecting each output individually, for example, starting with red and entering a value in red and leaving green and blue at 0. Next selecting Green, entering a value in green and leaving red and blue at 0, and so on... Is there some type of mathematical solution for using the channel mixer, or simple yet, is there a way of making my image more white, without losing my shadows?
The fresh install of LR 5.2 renders all images - RAW and JPG - throughout the program with a very dark, green-yellow colorcast. The only place where images appear normal is in the Import dialog, while the thumbnail mode is active. Apart from that, every program module features this annoying reproduction. Here are some supporting screenshots (red rectangles are from me):

Strangely enough, if I export the picture to JPEG - without any modifications - the image appears normal again:
LR version: 5.2.1, 64b (tried the 32b version too, same error)

I am not really too familar with adobe edge animate. i have seen some of the work produced by it though and I am extremly amazed. I am trying to create a steaming cup of coffee to insert into my website but i refuse to use flash content

Before i used X4 and the same artwork with the same printer were working perfectly, but now this is happening since i use X5
I am trying to make business cards in Adobe Illustrator using the Pantone Color System. In my logo, the middle circle is a dark grey: C20 Y20 M20 K80. I can't find a suitable Pantone grey that is this dark. Pantone 425U is too light. Also, which Pantone Black is the darkest?

This works perfectly for quickly assessing brightness and contrast of pictures.
In pse 10 however I could not find any button to change the preset lightgrey background colour to darkgrey.
I scanned a black and white print in color and am trying to replace all the black with dark green. Been trying for hours in elements 9. This is all so hard. Just to ask this question I have typed it into 3 different screens, set screenname, many other hurdles.
