Photoshop :: Tablet PC Calibration Error In Adobe...
Sep 25, 2008
I've run into a snag which hasn't bugged me before because I never used a second monitor, but now that I do, Photoshop and Illustrator don't function properly.
I am running my Adobe products on my Lenovo X61 Thinkpad Tablet, which is Wacom PenEnabled. It's got the basic digitizer pen and pen pressure features, no stylus tilt or anything.
Whenever I run Photoshop or Illustrator in Extended Desktop Mode so I can have a different window open on my external monitor and the Adobe app on my tablet screen, my stylus goes strange. It seems to think that the extended desktop is part of the Adobe window, so when I move my stylus to draw, the cursor will appear on the external monitor, usually proportionate to the size of the screen...ie. It interprets the external and tablet screens as one desktop and the top left corner of my tablet screen is the top left of my external, whilst the bottom right on tablet IS the bottom right on tablet, if that makes any sense...sorry.
So I can't draw anything in photosho unless I set it back to standard desktop mode, or mirrored desktop. I've searched over the net and these forums and I can't find a fix for this. I was walking in harvey norman the other day and the Wacom Cintiq 12" was there on display, and it had the same issue with extended desktop and photoshop.

My camera profiles in the camera calibration section of ACR (for a Nikon D200 and a Nikon Coolpix7000) are not embedded. I am running CS6 and ACR 7.1. How do I get the supported camera profiles to display?
I recently received this error message after downloading the standard Adobe CS4 for windows trail from here at adobe.com. The installation completes and after launching CS4 I receive this message.
"This product has has encountered a problem which requires that you restart your computer before it can be launched.
If you continue to see this message after restarting your computer, please contact either your IT adminastrator or Adobe technical support for help, and mention this error code shown at the bottom of this screen.
Error: 147:20
I'm unsure of what the root of this error exactly is, I tried looking through forums, calling adobe, and even searching the internets but I cannot find any help whatsoever. I restarted my computer various times, uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing...
In addition, the download came with other programs such as "Adobe Media Encoder CS4" and "Adobe Extension Manager CS4" but when I launch those as well it gives me the same exact error message as stated above.
i have a core2duo, xp sp3 running 8GB of ram 3.5GB as my main memory, 4.5GB as my virtual memory. setup by Gavotte Ramdisk.

I'm using CS2 on WK@pro, during startup Photoshop I suddenly get this message " The Adobe UI font could not be loaded. For best result exit the program and either install or uninstall other fonts" the system halt, by clicking "ok" the system resume startup and works normal.I have tried everything but can't get rid of this message.
I've moved desks and computers at work and recently re-installed Photoshop CS on my new computer (running Windows XP Professional). I went to run Adobe Gamma and am getting the following error message "To be able to run Adobe Gamma you must log on with Administrator priviledges." Our IT section can't figure out what that is or where to go fix it so I can run Adobe Gamma. I didn't have this problem when I installed the software on my old computer.
A) Yes, I have read through numerous posts and tried numerous solutions except the one that works.
1) Erased the registry keys for internet explorer blah blah blah
2) Closed all programs during installation including antivirus, disconnected from net.
3) Ran CS4 clean up AND windows install cleaner AND Revo Uninstaller
4) Rebooted several times/ ran the installer several times.
B) PC Specs: 2.0Ghz Duo Core Intel, 4 G Ram, Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit, Avast Antivirus home addition, Dell m1530 XPS...
C) Installed Adobe Dreamworks CS4 trial without a hitch...
D) Tried to install Fireworks trial and got a ERROR 1603 message at about 95% of the install..Gave up on that one.
E) Trying to install the Adobe downloaded Photoshop CS4 Trial and also gives me a ERROR 1603 at about 95%... I would like to use this software but according to other postings...it doesnt matter if its the trial or paid for version..people are getting the ERROR 1603..
F) Its hard to believe that with all the people with the same issues, it has not been widely posted on how to troubleshoot this issue.
Installed CC photoshop on a brand new W530 laptop. Upon launching either the normal or 64 bit versions of photoshop CC, the application loads then I receive the following error...
"Adobe Photoshop CC has stopped working"
I am unable to use the application, I have removed and reinstalled also in an attempt to correct the issue. investigation of the event log results in the error below.
Photoshop CS4 will not open, when I try and open it I get "An unexpected and unrecoverable problem has occurred because of a disk error. Photoshop will now exit." Bridge is working fine?
I am using trial version of adobe photoshop CS6. I installed the product it runned fine for a day but then it gave error - 16. I reinstalled the product and it runned fine. But after 2 days it again gave the error. This happens with Adobe Flash Professional CS6 also.
every time i try to launch an app it says Error: 5. It is a genuine copy of CS4, i have the serial number, but cant find the disks and when i type in the serial into Photoshop, it says the serial is invalid. I only have it on this machine (Apple PowerMac G5 quad)
I m useing PE 8 and am having trouble logging on with my adobe ID. I'm getting error 400 and check network connections. I know I have a internet connection.
I have a brand new Dell desktop that runs windows 8. I installed the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection and got a message saying that there were errors during installation and some things might not work properly. I uninstalled and did it a second time. Same message.
I then spoke with an Adobe agent who told me to download a program to detect what the errors were. He said they were minor issues and shouldn't affect the programs. I then spent hours today speaking with Dell on the phone and the rep took remote control of the computer and did a diagnostics check on the hardware. He said everything is fine. I asked him if it might be the video card needing an update so he ran an update. Same issues, no change.
We changed the compatibility to windows 7 and still no change. I then uninstalled the creative suite and tried installing it from the desktop. Still same problems. These are the issues in Photoshop:
1)When using certain tools (transform tool, crop tool) the images goes completely black. 2) The background switches at random- sometimes checkered, sometimes grey, and sometimes black. 3) Color saturation is incorrectly represented. It switches whenever it wants. For instance, when I zoom in and out it changes.
In Adobe Bridge some of the RAW images don't show in the program. Some I just can't open. Others open fine. Those images will open in Photoshop but not in Bridge.
I tried to install the update with Adobe Updater and it failed with error code U44M1P7.I then downloaded the update patcht directly from the site and tried to install. Again error code this time U44M2P7.
in our company, we wrote an program to export *.ai files as *.jpg files automatically. Means it saves a copy via the Illustrator SDK (CS5).Now, we got a problem with some files: While exporting, there appears an error message called "Adobe Save for Web AI Error" and, obviously, it stops the export.I don't use an function called "Save for Web" and other people don't have the problem with our program.
Why this message box is shown although we don't use this function?
I am trying to convert Nikon NRW files to DNG files. Many of the Images have color errors. I tried as an experiment and converted them to TIFF files. It worked fine.
when selecting a simple clip on Premiere CC timeline and selecting 'Replace with After Effects composition', from Adobe Dynamic Link, AE CC launches, creates a new (empty) comp but does not import the footage clip into the project

Adobe Illustrator was working fine on my MacBook Pro. That is in the shop being fixed, meanwhile I have a loaner computer which is what the specs are above. All my Adobe apps work, except for Illustrator. When I launch it, it loads everything but just as the main menu across the top loads I get an error stating:
Configuration error uninstall and reinstall the product.
"Adobe Photoshop has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
I have uninstalled/reinstalled Photoshop and still get the same message.

After I installed Photoshop CS4 trial, it failed to install Photoshop, but the rest were successful. I went to get more information and this is the message:
Adobe Fonts All Error: Error 1603. Error 1907.Could not register font . Verify that you have sufficient permissions to install fonts, and that the system supports this font.
Adobe Photoshop CS4 English Language Pack Error: Error 2.
In version 7 of PS/Win I discovered an error which I have tried to report to Adobe. I haven't been able to find an actual error reporting formular on Adobe.com, but have sent in the report via a "feature request" kind of formular.
Since I have never received an answer and since the error have not been corrected yet, I presume I have posted the report to the wrong people.
I haven't been able to find anything about this error on the internet, so maybe it's still not known in the PS community??
Well, it's about renaming layers which position is not locked. If you use either CTRL to move the cursor to the next word of the layer name or CTRL-SHIFT to mark a word then the contents of the layer is moved.
Every time I save I get an "Adobe Save For Web Error" that says "Could not complete this operation. An unknown error has occurred." Below is the system info:

I upgraded to Maverick (Apple OSX) about 2.5 weeks ago. But this problem didn't start until about 3 days ago, so surely that's not the issue.
I have a lacie electron blue iv 22 crt as a main monitor that runs great and i don't see myself replacing any time soon, cheapo NEC 17" LCD as a secondary and both running off an XFX nvidia geforce 7600gtx. the lacie is running analog output and the nec is running digital.
I get good color from the lacie and on all my prints (oly 330n and kodak 1400 pro, both are dye sub printers). still using adobe gamma from cs2. is this something i need, or should i just stick with what works. (i guess the answer is stick with what works, but do you guys think i would actually GAIN anything by going for this.)
I have been getting the wierd error when I try to install Adobe Photoshop CS3 using the MSI package that I created. Could not write value data to key SOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsNTCurrentVersionScheduleHandshake{GUID}. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key or contact your support personel.
This error happens regardless of who is trying to install the MSI pacakage (regular account or Administrator). I even tried to give explicit permission to the regkey, however OS prevents me to do so.
There is an vast amount of information on this topic, that topic being LCD monitor calibration. Some LCD have presets, theater, games, etc. I want to calibrate my LCD so that if someone else is viewing my work on their monitor and they complain it is too light or to dark, I can say it is your monitor.
One of my LCD has two presets that are of interest 'standard' & 'sRGB' my other LCD doesn't have any presets. What is the best or near best calibration I can manually set both monitors too, if this is even possible on LCD.
When we slide the saturation slider for a primary to the left end (completely desaturated position), does it mean that we move this primary to the white point on the chromaticity diagram?
