View 6 Repliescatalogs, I got error message about getting current drivers for hard drive. My hard drive is Western Digital which is supported by Windows 7.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have started using PSE 8.0 and have been enjoying it for editing photos and creating slide shows. Last week, though, I started to get BSOD whenever I go to Edit. No big changes to undo with system restore.
View 6 Replies View Relatedcreative cloud says cs6 and photoshop cc are up to date so I cannot install from there. this laptop is giving me grief ie MSPaint won't save in png and gif formats and Paint,NET that I taught myself on and still use quite a bit crashes if I open either png or gif and won't save them either. This is the laptop that has ithe Intel Pentium graphic processor on it that best supports PS. another question, do we uninstall CS6 once CC is up and running.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've lost both of my Raid0 arrays on start-up today, and Win7 start-up repair has not fixed it, so I am looking at a System Restore. I'll probably have to go back to before I installed CS6 full release, and I am wondering if I am going to remove CS6 with the Restore without decativating it. My Program files are all on my SSD boot drive and OK, and I have full backup for the two raid0 arrays.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI kept getting a fatal error when I tried to open the layers manager and I found a discussion board saying I had to do a system restore to fix the problem. Well I did a system restore and now autocad won't even load. I click on the icon and the hour glass goes but then it disappers and nothing happens. I have windows 7 if that makes a difference. I have been using 2007 lt for a few months now and everything worked fine.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI went through a system restore yesterday. Im not sure how maybe somebody scheduled it without me knowing. Anyway I have tried and tried to reinstall Paint Shop Pro X5 but something pops up saying "Your system has not been modified. To complete istallation another time, please run setup again."
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a new computer and want to move the databse catalog over. I backed up in PSE 9 to an external hard drive. I connected to HD to the new computer and tried a resotre catalog. I chose "New Location" since I was going from XP to Windows 7 and was unsure if there would be a conflict with file locations. I also chose "Restore Original Floder Strucure". Very quickly I recieve an error message "Could not restor file .xml". I have run Restore Catalog several times and each time a DIFFERENT FILE receives the error message. I then disabled Norton Anti Virus Auto-Protect. I then disabled several programs running in the background. Same problem. I then copied the Backup Catalog to the new computer and tried to Restore it from there. Same Problem. I have now run a Repair Catalog on the original file. PSE states there is no error. I want to purchas PSE 11, but wanted to install/restore the database with the same version 9 first.

It's Block's OCS Coordinate not other objects.
I have an old photo that I'm trying to clean up but I'm running into problems removing the "grunge" that's accumulated from aging. I don't know what to call it other than "grunge". I want to keep the dark areas that make up the face but the aging is competing with the shadows of his cheek bones and underneath the chin. I'm not sure how to preserve those areas and get a clean background.
I've attached the photo here, drastically reducing the original file size.
Is there a keyboard shortcut for RESTORE?

View 1 Replies View Relatedsometimes you just have to reformat the hard drive and reinstall the OS. Is there a way to save off Photoshop (CS5) settings and preferences for restore later after OS and PS are reinstalled?
Perhaps keps in some xml file somewhere? Or a registry key?
Today, after accidentally exporting a file as a TIFF the options dialog box for TGA files no longer appears.
Which means my workflow has come to an absolute and complete stop since I can no longer export proper 32-bit TGA files that are required for import into other software.
I've deleted all the preferences inside ~/Library/Preferences though that did not fix it.
On photo raw conversion, where is the 'restore' function on Photoshop CC?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a question about this image;
As you can see the sandstone building is old and dirty. What is the best way to clean up this building? I did several attempts, but all of them gave me a unnatural or blurry building.
I use the text tool and start typing, all that shows up is a tiny line in the color of whatever I set the font color to be. How can I restore to the text tool to what it usually is. If you need to, I can provide a screencap of it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've used PSE 6 before, but it doesn't work anymore in Win8, so I'm thinking of updating to PSE12.
To be honest, I don't know where is my old catalog located, but I think it is in the same folder as photos. At least I see "my catalog.psa" files in there. But when I' try to restore them to trial version of PSE12, it only accepts *.tly files. My files are .psa.
How I can restore my catalogs? Because if I can't, there's no point to buy Adobe product at all, because I have to create everything (thousands of photos) from scratch. So I can do that with Adobe product or with any other software, even with free ones.
after working with a lot of layers, masks and clipping layers my file got corrupted. That happened in the past but I always found a way to fix it buy copying uncorrupted layers to a new file. Most of the time it was just one layer corrupted. But this time is big, it looks like the whole file is corrupted.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI know this is a very ignorant question, but when I minimize a window (that contains, say, 1 particular image that I'm putting on the "back burner" for a moment while I work on another image), there is no apparent way to re-open it.
Don't know if it matters or not, but I'm in "Photography" view. There is no "status bar" (as on a web browser) at the bottom. In fact, there are no tools or anything else at the bottom of Photoshop when it's open.
Well, I take that back, there are the ones at the very bottom right that look like a "chain", an "fx", what looks like a "camera", a circle split with black and white, a "folder", a piece of paper, and a trash can, all of which are grayed out.
I know that Paint Shop Pro and previous versions of Photoshop had tabs at the very bottom left of the window, representing windows that were minimized and clicking any one of them would bring the image to the forefront.
PS CS5 on a Mac OS 10.6.8 I'm working on a document that gives me this message upon opening "ALERT Fonts used in some text layers are not available for activation. You will need to replace these fonts before the layers can be used for vector based output." As soon as I click on the "ok" button.
It crashes. So I don't have any time to change the fonts or make any modifications to the file. It was working fine yesterday and today it's not accessible. Is there a way to restore the file or resave it so that I can get in there and make the final changes and save it for print? Of course it's nearly finished and hours of work have gone in to creating it.
Through the channels window, I can paint on the R, G and B channels individually. That's great, but where's the Alpha channel? Photoshop only allows me to create a new opacity layer which simply subtracts from the PNG's native opacity - it can't add to it. What I need is to INCREASE opacity.
In other words: I have parts of this PNG which are semi transparent, and I need them to become opaque. How can I do that?
EDIT: it as a single RGBA pixel value. I need to turn (0.5, 0.5, 0.5, 0.0) into this (0.5, 0.5, 0.5, 1.0). Do you see?
My OS hard drive recently failed and I had to reinstall Photoshop CS3. Luckily I had a full backup of C:.
Does anyone know which files I need to restore to set Photoshop back to the way it was before my drive failed? Preferences, Settings, etc.?
I have the CS2 upgrade disc and the original Photoshop 7,with serial number, but it is damaged.
My CS2 is shown as registered but I am not able to see if that is of any value in this situation.
