Photoshop :: Summary Error While Installing CS6 (Mac)
Sep 6, 2012
I<ve been trying to install PS CS6 for a while and I keep getting the same Summary Error at the beginning (about 2% in the installation). I've tried the troubleshooting steps, it did not resolve the issue., Here's the error message:
Â
Exit Code: 34

Â
I've been trying to install Camera Raw Profile 7... it will not install.
When installing photoshop CS4 for the first time i get an error, I start the setup then i select to install Photoshop with adobe bridge and when i click install the process begins and when it's almost about to finish i get the following error:
Installation Error:
An error has ocurred when installing the following components:
Adobe Photoshop CS4
Then i click the see more information of this error i get:
I open up adobe installer than it closes and opens a new dialogue that says "Setup has encountered an error and cannot continue. Contact Adobe Customer Support for assistance."
I'm trying to update my newly purchased and installed PhotoShop CS 5.5 on my iMac (less than a year old) using the "Updates" link..I get an error that says, "Update Failed. Updates could not be applied. Unable to write at location "Users/[my computer name]/ Library/Application Support/ Adobe" provide write permissions to this location and try again."I can't tell if it is a PhotoShop issue or a write permission issue on my iMac.
I am trying to install Photoshop 5 on an XP machine. It installs fine. However, once it starts I get an error message saying "Adobe Photoshop has encountered a problem" and must be closed.
My problem started when I was trying to install one of the CS4 premiums. When I was going through and selecting everything I wanted to install, Photoshop CS4 Extended would not select. I clicked a little drop down arrow that said that the reason is because it is already installed. This is not my problem...
I thought it was weird because I had never, ever before had any version Photoshop installed on this computer. But I opted to simply install and then uninstall a Photoshop CS4 Extended trial to see if that would help. After downloading a hefty installer file, I attempted to install it. At the end of the installation I received the following error:
Adobe Photoshop CS4 English Language Pack Error: Error 2.
LangPack (English) for DeviceCentral Error: Error 2.
Crap. But I decided to try to uninstall it anyway. At the end of the uninstallation it says that there were some errors uninstalling some of the components. "For more information see below." And then there's nothing below. What.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times. What the Christ, guys? Am I forever doomed to have an incomplete, non-working Photoshop on my computer? Is there any way I can simply delete all the files and remove it from the registry?
I've downloaded a trial version of Photoshop CS3 but it wont install i keep getting error 1327 invalid drive E:/???? I dont even have a drive E/ I have a drive C:/ for my HD and a drive D:/ for CD's etc.. its doin my head in coz it took like 5hrs to download the trial version and it wont even work.. seems like a waste of time.
I just recently got Photoshop CS4 and I always encounter the same problem. It would start loading up and as soon as I think it's done, a screen pops up that says "Installation Failed". I tried to figure out what was the problem, but no luck. All I know is that it keeps on saying "Error 1603".
when I try to install the German Photoshop trial I get a "Laufzeitfehler: Objekt erwartet Zeile 31" (Runtime Error: object expected line 31) after initialisation of the installation program. When opening the Script Debugger it points to a file main.html in Common FilesAdobe/Installers... esources. The Debugger stops at the line: "body onload="AhmbedGUIWorkflow()" id="standardBody"" (without quotation marks). What can I do to avoid this error and install the trial?
Ever since I loaded Mavericks on my APPLE I can not open a file from any file. So if I go to file open it won't open I get a message saying: "Could not complete your request because of a program error." Â I can however pull the file from the desk top and drag it on to the Photoshop icon and it will open.I also can not save files to any folder. I have to save it to a desktop then move it into the folder.
For some reason I can't save metadata in the 'summary' tab (right click on any jpg and select 'properties'). The tab comes up and I can enter info into the fields and click 'ok' (or 'apply') but for some reason the data doesn't save (?). When I click the image again and pull up the tab the data I just entered, the fields are blank again. Does anyone know what would cause this?
I've combed through the forums and tried every fix that I've read, however nothing has worked. I've just been given a new work laptop with a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit Enterprise Edition running SP1. Full administrator privledges.I am attempting to install Adobe Photoshop CS3 straight from the DVD, so no updates, patches, etc.  After running either the autorun or directly setup.exe within the Adobe CS3 folder, the Initializing Adobe Photoshop CS3 bar makes it between 80-90% before jumping to the Loading Setup screen where I'm presented with the error, "Critical errors were found in setup.
OK, the support pages have had me look for "FATAL" (case sensitive) within the setup log. It appears on the very last line of the 80 mb text file. Here's the surrounding elements:  loading page "installationProgress" from C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesAdobeInstallers2ac78060bc5856b0c1cf873bb919b58 esourcespage sinstallationProgressinstallationProgress.js updating path to Win32 WizardControl: loading page "complete" from C:Program Files (x86)Common
I have moved to a new PC running Windows 7. Is PE 11 compatible with Windows 7? When I try to install PSE 11 I receive this message 'Error opening installation log file. Verify that specified log file exists and is writable'. I have tried all of the fixes in Microsoft and on the web with no positive results.
I have a brand new Dell desktop that runs windows 8. I installed the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection and got a message saying that there were errors during installation and some things might not work properly. I uninstalled and did it a second time. Same message.
I then spoke with an Adobe agent who told me to download a program to detect what the errors were. He said they were minor issues and shouldn't affect the programs. I then spent hours today speaking with Dell on the phone and the rep took remote control of the computer and did a diagnostics check on the hardware. He said everything is fine. I asked him if it might be the video card needing an update so he ran an update. Same issues, no change.
We changed the compatibility to windows 7 and still no change. I then uninstalled the creative suite and tried installing it from the desktop. Still same problems. These are the issues in Photoshop: Â 1)When using certain tools (transform tool, crop tool) the images goes completely black. 2) The background switches at random- sometimes checkered, sometimes grey, and sometimes black. 3) Color saturation is incorrectly represented. It switches whenever it wants. For instance, when I zoom in and out it changes. Â In Adobe Bridge some of the RAW images don't show in the program. Some I just can't open. Others open fine. Those images will open in Photoshop but not in Bridge.
I just purchased LR 3, after successfully using the Beta version 2.
I also have LR 2.7 installed. Â As the installation is about to proceed, I get this error message:
"Error 2753: The file lightroom.exe is not marked for installation" Â Things I have tried: Â Standard uninstallation of LR3 Beta-I am unable to uninstall LR3 Beta from control panel - I seem to be missing a catalogue (C:Temp {CB83B0....) containing the msi file that was supposedly in my C"Temp folder. I probably deleted it in a disk cleanup. Â Â Following a troubleshooting page in the Knowledge Base:
Removal of lightroom.exe and preferences.agprefs files.
Moving all folders in .../AppData/Roamin/Adobe/Lightroom into a new folder on desktop.
Moving all folders in ..../Pictures/Lightroom/Lightroom Previews.Irdata into a new folder on desktop
Moved Database.Irdb into a new folder on desktop  Rebooting into a clean boot, closing all but basic services and programs.  Always the same message.
I just downloaded the LR4 upgrade and when I double clicked the installion icon in Finder I got an error in Installer application:
"Invalid Distribution File/Package" Here is the full list of errors:
Sep 5 12:23:36 computername Installer[673]: This distribution script is too new (Requires spec version >= 2, current is 1.058)
Sep 5 12:23:36 computername Installer[673]: Error parsing distribution script from data
Sep 5 12:23:36 computername Installer[673]: Invalid Distribution File/Package  I just installed OS 10.6.3 Snow Leopard with no troubles. I am running a CoreDuo iMac with 4 gb RAM and plenty of HD space. I have LR3 on my computer.
My current LR4 indicated that the LR4.1 is available. But the installation of the downloaded LR4.1 always gave me this same error message: Â I searched the Adome Forums but did not find any similar postings.. This is on Mac Lion OS.
I am trying to load Map 3D onto this computer. After downloading the Autodesk product from their web site which took hours I would like to try to get this guy up and running before I have to download it all over again.
I go thru all of the steps of the setup, enter the serial number and key code and get green checks to each of those fields. When installing the program it runs almost to the end and then I get a error 1406 message that says I don't have the use of this key? I bought this computer from a classmate and he did have a DWF viewer on it but I have deleted all of those files. The Map 3D guy still fails to load after clearing out all of the files. I have scouted around on the net and have seen posts where Autocad leaves some files running in the background. How I can get around this error code? I try to run the trial version that needs no serial or key number and the same error code appears.
I recently installed some "Megalo's Plugin Pack" and it just kept crashing my paint.NET, so I tried going to the effects and file types folders and deleteing all the plugins, but there was so much I had no idea which was plugin stuff and normal paint.NET. So I just deleted everything paint.NET and tried reinstalling it, but it just says "Fatal error installing paint.NET (1603)"
I just signed up for the monthly membership to CC and downloaded LR and PS, both downloaded ok. PS is working but when I went to register the LR I get finished and it gives the error "assertion failed". Â I have used LR 3 on this computer, but a few months ago it stopped working and I had my son uninstall it from this computer, so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it.
I installed PSP x6 ultimate using the install 32 and 64 bit versions. I tried to install the kpt and creative content and get the following message-
"setupnewsetup.cpp(143) PAPP: PVENDOR: PGUID: $15.0.0.498 @windows vista service pack 1 (7601) IE version:9.11.9600.16428"
I also get the same error message using the 2nd dvd to install "perfectly clear" and "ultimate creative content".
I am running windows 7 pro and don't know why I am getting the error messages. Could this be because they do not run on the 64bit versions? If so when asked to install both versions would they run. There is no program start application for the 32 bit version even if you select install both.
I have tried unistalling framework 4 and reinstalling using the standalone installer. I have also used the framework clean up tool with no luck. I have tried to repair the installed framework 4 with no success. I have tried all of this with my antivirus turned off and I have tried to use Microsoft fixit along with running Ccleaner registry fix.643 Error.
I am trying to install the student version of autodesk inventor 2011, and I'm using the default installation settings. The installation aborts when installing C++ and this is the message I get in the install log:
2011/1/9:17:36:18   Bobby Porwal   NP-CHU   === Setup started on NP-CHU by Bobby Porwal === 2011/1/9:17:38:56   Bobby Porwal   NP-CHU   Install   Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable (x86)   Failed   Installation aborted, Result=1603
How to compile quantities for cost estimating when the data is scattered across multiple files. Aside from generating quantities for each drawing in seperate .csv files etc., is there some way to pull the data from all the drawings at once into a single summary file?
