Jul 22, 2008I've sliced an image for publishing to the web and saved it as an HTML file using the Save for Web command (PSC3). It is my understanding that PS creates the images and pages according to the options set in the Save for Web dialog, however, when viewed, the page shows place holders for the slices, but only red X's for the images. The resulting HTML code references a number of GIF files located in an "images" folder, but I cannot find the location of that folder. Search does not show a folder, nor the referenced file names.
Am I mis-understanding the HTML option in the Save for Web process? If not, where did PS put the images it supposedly created from the slices?

Oct 28, 2013I'm trying to copy editable text from a Word file into the text editor for GIMP. Before I upgraded to 2.8, this was possible, but now it seems not. I'm on 2.8.4 using OSX Mavericks on a Macbook Pro.
I'm a terrible speller and since GIMP doesn't support spell check, this was always my workaround.

Dec 6, 2013I'm working on a fire damaged 4 floor condo project.I have an xref zip folder sent to me from the original architectural firm. It's been unzipped. Now I have multiple drawings. Each with it's own xref. I want to be able to have a fully editable drawing (in this case of a 3 story condo). I want to be able to add or delete, at will, any part of the drawing without any concerns of messing up an xref file.

Sep 18, 2012I'm trying to File > Save As an Adobe Photoshop CS6 PDF and then be able to open it and edit the text in Adobe Acrobat X. Whenever I attempt to edit the text it is a raster image and it doesnt matter what I do in the photoshop pdf settings.
I want to be able to do this so that the text is able to be searched by google / search engines when I make the PDF available online.

Jun 14, 2012I'm trying to export an image map from Illustrator CS6. However I can't get it to save the HTML.
I've setup my hotspots etc. However when I do "Save for Web", there is no option to save "Images & HTML". It only gives me the option of "Image Only".
The only way I've been able to get the HTML is to click on "Preview" from the "Save for Web" screen, and then copy and paste the image map code from there.
I've also tested it with slices, and same thing. There just seems to be no way to get it to generate a HTML file.
Is there some other way I'm supposed to get it to create the HTML?
3ds Max :: Converting Editable Mesh To Editable Poly Creates Extra Geometry?
Feb 13, 2013A simple editable mesh object, a piece of terrain, which has standard texture on it an no modifiers, just some UV's on channel 1.
Whenever I add "edit poly" modifier or convert it to editable poly, additional geometry will be created. Statistics show that only vertex count of the selected object goes up about 6x but no additional faces are generated. This not the case when check on a sub-object level, there are lot of additional faces created. I've never seen this happen, jumping between edit poly and edit mesh has been easy without any errors like this.
I've tried the same model with 2013 as well - same results. Also tried collapsing the object, removing uv-mapping, different materials, attaching the mesh to empty box, etc, garbage collection, exporting it to obj and importing - even then same thing happens.

Sep 27, 2012I have a 2D autocad 2013 file that has a good amount of text on it. When I import the file into MAX, the text is not there. So...I exploded the text. Well, the file imports with the "text" now, but it is painfully slow to navigate and select anything. (probably because of the thousands of lines that make up the text)
Is there a way to import the text, and keep them editable in Max?
What is the best workflow? I need the text only as reference. I am building an RC airplane and have the pieces drawn in CAD. I want to bring them into MAX and extrude them to make a virtual build to make sure my parts are accurate. I only need the text because it labels all the pieces for now.

Aug 14, 2012I have read all threads about exporting an editable text but couldnt find the solution. Someone said that the PS have to ask you about maintaning layers but PS doesnt ask me something when I open the exported PSD file.
Is it something to do with PS4, should I get PS5? or am I doing something wrong?
I have tried this with artistic text and also with paragraph text. In some webpage it says that SP1 for x5 allows you to do that. I downloaded SP3, but still doesnt work.

Our office is involved in a competition and we want to show the Room Name and Area (which I understand how to do and have done that) and also the required square footage that was given to us in the competition project description. I have a glow around the text. I used the expand layer, make transparent, and grow way, but if I ever try to change it the glow won't match the text.
