I am able to paste text into my Paint.net document, but I am not able edit it, neither the font size of the text, or dimensions of the text box. How would I import text into a text box that I can drag the corner to wrap text to dimensions of box, and also be able to change text font and size.

here is what's currently displaying (hit Ctrl - if its displaying too big) . I only want the text in the top left hand part of the image that is all white.
I have a 2D autocad 2013 file that has a good amount of text on it. When I import the file into MAX, the text is not there. So...I exploded the text. Well, the file imports with the "text" now, but it is painfully slow to navigate and select anything. (probably because of the thousands of lines that make up the text)
Is there a way to import the text, and keep them editable in Max?
What is the best workflow? I need the text only as reference. I am building an RC airplane and have the pieces drawn in CAD. I want to bring them into MAX and extrude them to make a virtual build to make sure my parts are accurate. I only need the text because it labels all the pieces for now.
Paint.net has everything I need in an image editor, except for the way it handles text layers. It would be nice if text would be a special kind of layer, which allows you to change it after doing some other work on a different layer. Right now if you want to change text you have to redo it.
it's possible to copy and paste form Word and keep the formatting. I've tired using the text tool but the formatting is lost and I've tried direct pasting but it results in a huge size. Resizing the result leaves the print blurry.
I'm trying to add formatted text to an image size of 490 x 680.
I'm trying to copy editable text from a Word file into the text editor for GIMP. Before I upgraded to 2.8, this was possible, but now it seems not. I'm on 2.8.4 using OSX Mavericks on a Macbook Pro.
I'm a terrible speller and since GIMP doesn't support spell check, this was always my workaround.
A simple editable mesh object, a piece of terrain, which has standard texture on it an no modifiers, just some UV's on channel 1.
Whenever I add "edit poly" modifier or convert it to editable poly, additional geometry will be created. Statistics show that only vertex count of the selected object goes up about 6x but no additional faces are generated. This not the case when check on a sub-object level, there are lot of additional faces created. I've never seen this happen, jumping between edit poly and edit mesh has been easy without any errors like this.
I've tried the same model with 2013 as well - same results. Also tried collapsing the object, removing uv-mapping, different materials, attaching the mesh to empty box, etc, garbage collection, exporting it to obj and importing - even then same thing happens.
How do I create a photoshop file using the text tool in which the text remains editable after I save the file (instead of becoming a rasterized graphic)?
I’ve to create numerous buttons using attached image as a template. I need to change the text in the image. Editable version of this image is not available. how can I change the text and still look like it was professionally done or as if I had an image with editable text.
I have read all threads about exporting an editable text but couldnt find the solution. Someone said that the PS have to ask you about maintaning layers but PS doesnt ask me something when I open the exported PSD file.
Is it something to do with PS4, should I get PS5? or am I doing something wrong?
I have tried this with artistic text and also with paragraph text. In some webpage it says that SP1 for x5 allows you to do that. I downloaded SP3, but still doesnt work.
I am trying to add a normal, regular, editable text box to a Room Tag. Our office is involved in a competition and we want to show the Room Name and Area (which I understand how to do and have done that) and also the required square footage that was given to us in the competition project description. Here is an example:
STUDENT SERVICES 1252 SF REQ: 1160 SF < This is what I need to know how to do.
Once the Room Tag is placed, I want to manually be able to change that number as it pertains to each program. Is this at all possible?
create an editable text box? I have made a birtday card, in which i just want to replace the name every day. Currently, i am working on a layered xcf and then editing it manually and saving each individual card. I need something in which i can merge all the layers, scale it to the right size and still be able to edit the name quickly..?
I have a banner for a site of mine that needs to change every couple or weeks or so. The part that we need to change is the text.
I have a glow around the text. I used the expand layer, make transparent, and grow way, but if I ever try to change it the glow won't match the text.
How to get a glow around text but make it be able to change at a later point in time without having to redo the entire glow, basically just change text and the glow will go with it?
I'm trying to File > Save As an Adobe Photoshop CS6 PDF and then be able to open it and edit the text in Adobe Acrobat X. Whenever I attempt to edit the text it is a raster image and it doesnt matter what I do in the photoshop pdf settings.
I want to be able to do this so that the text is able to be searched by google / search engines when I make the PDF available online.
I have Photoshop CS5 for Windows (version 12.1 x32), and I'm trying to open a CS6 file that was sent to me. When I do, none of the text layers are editable. Is this expected?
I have a large real estate map upon which I want to overlay a large amount of text labels that I can periodically modify. How do I do this without either making hundreds of layers or, if flattened, making the text layer obscure the underlying map?
I've got a Photoshop template with the images and HTML file which I can open up in FrontPage and edit the text, how do I do this with my own template I made?
Is there a way to convert text to an editable shape?
I have a font that I am thinking of using for a project; the font is near to what I want but still requires modification on some letters. I've tried the 'convert to editable shape' function but it has no effect. (I'm not referring to stretching or squashing or distorting the text; I need to bring up point handles.)
I've been working on a tyre for a while. Now i need to model the side wall with some text on it. Because the tyre has to be printed in 3d i need this text as polygons in the model (not in a texture). So what is the best way to get a 3d text on my poly? It's very important to get an valid editable poly (from each vertice start 4 edges / an edge don't has 1 face on on side and 2 on the other ...).
I have been working in AutoCAD for a number of years but up until now I have been working with already created tables and spreadsheets. I need to create a new one; however my boss is very against using Excel or the AutoCAD table and importing the information. What he would like to see is a screen that pops up with a number of lines of information that can be filled in. Then just creating a grid around it with lines. I feel like I have used something similar in the past but don’t know what it is called or how to create it.
recently I've designed a logo, and the problem is the following: I've desgined it in Illustrator CS6 and the text is fully editable, but when I downsave it to make it compatible with Illustrator 10, the text automatically outlines itself! how do I save it so the text remains editable and keeps the compatibility with the 10 version?
I am having an impossible time finding an answer to this question. How do you keep text editable when saving an EPS in Illustrator CS5 down to Illustrator 10? Every time I open it, the text is either converted to points or it is broken up into single letters which is hardly useful for the end-user to take and edit.
I am trying to add an animation to a Photoshop Layer.I have Imported a Photoshop Layer In After Effects CC.When I try to convert It to a Editable Text, I get this Error message.
I have created a new master with a header, footer and main content region. The main content needs to be editable for each page I add to the document but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it! Has this changed since the first Indesign CS?
So the header and footer will remain the same throughout the document - if I change that in the master it will then change throughout. The text region will also remain the same throughout but I should be able to add content to that region on each page I create in my document. At the moment I can't. It won't let me select that region I've created on any of the pages in my document.
I have MAP3d 2014 drawings with object data attached. I also need to be able to see the data as text. In map 3d it is a straightforward exercise. I go to task pane> Data> add drawing layer..I select the layer I want data to display and I select the object properties, change the TextLabel into the required field and I have readable on the screen text.. However this text does not behave like text at all..If I edit it, it disappears or reverts back to the original text. When I open in normal CAD of course it is not readable...
How can I convert this MAP3D data label text into an AutoCad, editable text for everyone to see and edit.
I have an elevation symbol that works OK as a regular block with attributes. Except it takes four of them to look right depending on orientation. But when I try to make just one dynamic block I run into the text/attribute thing.
How do you make a dynamic block with editable text?
how to manipulate the size of the wipeout for a text mask.
Simply selecting the masked text in C3D 2011 provided pick boxes at the four corners of the wipeout, making it very easy to manipulate the size of the wipeout box. I'm hoping to do the same in C3D 2012, but the wipeout seems to be treated like a block and lacks the pick boxes.A system variable maybe?
