Photoshop :: Canvas Resize Keyboard Shortcut
May 30, 2012I'm on a Win7, 64bit, with CS6 (13.0 (13.0 20120315.r.428 2012/03/15:21:00:00). The keyboard shortcut to bring up the Canvas resize menu is ctl+alt+c. That combination does nothing. If I add the Windows key to the combo, then it will bring up the Canvas resize menu. Could others check to see if it works for them or have I found another bug?

Feb 18, 2006I would like to have a shortcut to fit a window (regardless of the image size)
between the tool box on the left and the other pallettes on the right. The only way I do it now is to drag the window to the upper left starting point and then drag the lower right corner to size it.
Photoshop :: Drag Resize Doesn't Resize Dual Brushes
Dec 18, 2008It has come to my attention that the new drag-resize feature only changes the master diameter of the brush but leaves the dual-brush diameter intact. It is the only shortcut that does this resizing improperly.
I would like to know if everyone else experiences the same problem. Is it a bug or is this way of resizing intended?
I mainly do digital paintings and this small bug makes the feature useless for me. I hope that it will be fixed at least in cs5.

Jan 26, 2012Is there a way to add a keyboard shortcut or marking menu shortcut for visibility? It would be really convenient to be able to shift-click several objects and toggle the visibility of them. I have a mouse with numerous buttons that are mapped to commonly used IV features, but I cannot find a way to map a visibility toggle.

Jun 11, 2012In previous versions I have been able to resize the canvas and then resize the image. For example resize the canvas to 250px x 250 px. Then resize the image to the same.
Here is the process I am using:
Duplicate the layer and then hide it. Resize the canvas (Image > Canvas Size) to 250px x 250 px. Un-hide the layer and then resize the image (Image > Image Size). When I go into Image>Image Size it says that the image is already 250px x 250px. However if I try to transform the scale the image is the original size and not 250px x 250px
The reason for needing this is I resize image size (in bulk) and the canvas size using the batch process (file>automate>batch) and actions. I loaded the actions file I used in previous versions, but that did not work correctly. I then went in to do this manually and got the same results.
Paint.NET :: Resize Images And Print Size Fields On Resize Dialogue
Mar 24, 2013I have just been trying to resize some images on the latest version - 3.510.4297.28964 - and I have typed the measurements that I wanted into the print size fields on the resize dialogue. The actual sizes the program resizes the images to differ though - some look to be about right, whereas some come out much larger, but they all show the dimensions that I inserted in the canvas size box.
I'm sure I've done this before and this hasn't happened?
Photoshop :: CS3 Shortcut Is Not In CS4
Aug 2, 2009methods of Mark johnson as outlined in one of his old Radiant vista tutorials which required the selection of all pixels above 50% brightness. The only way he ever showed how to achieve this in windows, with an image opened, multi-layered, was by the use of the shortcut "CTRL/ALT/TILDAR". This shortcut does not work in my newly installed CS4 - does anyone know of a substitute either long or short?

Sep 30, 2005I'm just starting to use CS2. In CS if you wanted to make a selection of an individual object that was on its own layer, all you had to do was control/command click that layer. I used it all the time. Now its gone in CS2. Does anyone know how you do this? I've searched thru the shortcuts to no avail.

Mar 30, 2003I usually just cntrl-z to undo it (or delete the state in history), then make a new layer and manually re do it, but you lose the work you just did on the wrong layer.

Mar 29, 2011When using Curves, one used to be able to move from one point to the next ("point" is what I use to refer to the points that determine the shape of the curve) by holding the Control key and pressing Tab.
This no longer appears to work with Photoshop CS5. I am wondering how I can move from one point to the next without having to click on the next point. More often than not I end up actually moving the point when trying to click on it.

Feb 18, 2005I have a photo of a bottle of wine. I want to create a layer with only the bottle on it and no background. I have be using the magnetic lasso but it does not work well. I was shown once that you could put a rectangle around the selection, hold a button down and hit a key and the selected area surrounds the object perfectly.

Nov 8, 2007i have been using photoshop 7 for years and just got photoshop cs3 yesterday. i noticed that i can no longer select items on a layer by holding down the command key and clicking in the layer like i can in 7. is this shortcut no longer available in cs3? i used it a lot.
